AirTran to begin flights out of Grand Rapids, airfare price competition expected

This is wonderful news.
But the newspaper's headline "... price competition expected" is perplexing.
Either they think their average reader needs help in understanding the concept of competition or that concept is new to the writer.
I'm not sure which is more disappointing.
