Both Ruger and Smith & Wesson Will Stop Selling New Guns in California Due to Microstamping Law

Both Ruger and Smith & Wesson Will Stop Selling New Guns in California Due to Microstamping Law:
"The California microstamping law was never about reducing violent crimes, it was always about limiting access to firearms.
It looks like they have succeeded. Smith and Wesson has issued an official statement on the matter (see below) while Dan Zimmerman was able to confirm Ruger will also stop offering new semi-automatic firearms in California.
According to the Calguns Foundation, the microstamping law will effectively remove all semi-auto firearms from California’s list of approved firearms in the coming years as well as drastically reduce the number of available firearms this year.
Manufacturers must get their gun onto that list before it can be sold in the state of California."
