"Plane tickets are about to become a little more expensive.
The current TSA fees are a $2.50 September 11 fee that is capped at $5 per one-way trip and $10 per round trip. 
Those fees will be replaced with a flat rate of $5.60 per one-way trip and $11.20 per round trip on July 21, according to CBS Philly.
The TSA rate hike stem from the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2013, which TSA spokesperson Mike McCarthy told CBS Philly will be used to help pay for the high cost of providing aviation security.
However, according to KEYE-TV, Congress voted to have most of the funds raised go towards paying down the deficit.
Airlines and passengers are not happy with the impending TSA fee increase.
“When I go to the airport, I see two out of eight lanes open and 20 TSA agents walking around in circles and the line is out of the terminal,” traveler Jon Bergen wrote in a comment to the TSA.
“Where is all the money going?”"
