True or fact?!!-----Cops: Story of woman training squirrels to attack ex-boyfriend is fake

Cops: Story of woman training squirrels to attack ex-boyfriend is fake
"That bushy-tailed squirrel foraging through the lawn isn't out to get you.
Really.
Detroit police are debunking a story making the rounds on Facebook that claims that officers arrested a Michigan woman, who allegedly trained 27 squirrels to attack her ex-boyfriend.
The article published in 2017 on World News Daily Report's website, stated the Detroit Police Department allegedly investigated the incident, in which the alleged victim reportedly lost "two fingers and one testicle."
The article included a mugshot of a woman and a photo of Detroit Police Chief James Craig at a press conference allegedly detailing the arrest.
The two-year-old story, which a representative with the police department called "fake news," continues to be shared on social media, even as recently as Wednesday.
It was shared by WIMI-FM (99.7) radio station in Ironwood with the caption, "For Entertainment Purposes Only."
The post has generated 47 comments and 289 shares by Wednesday morning.
...World New Daily Report's website includes a disclaimer about publishing fictional and satirical stories.
The squirrel article was clearly labeled as "entertainment only."
But that doesn't mean everyone recognized it as credible."
