"Americans have acquiesced to the pandemic restrictions for two reasons -
1) people believe they were doing the right thing to protect their family and their neighbors and
I think most Americans agree to such actions due to their concerns for others - because that's who Americans are.
We care about people and no matter how hard our betters try to convince us we are evil and reprehensible deplorables, our actions point in exactly the opposite direction.
We're good people willing to suspend our inalienable rights, albeit temporarily, as long as it helps someone else.
