THIS is why our country is doomed to financial ruin... how do our elected representatives (whether D *or* R) end up being worth tens to hundreds of millions of dollars on a $200k salary??
- Because they get financially REWARDED by vested interests for legislation they pass in congress!
Like I have always said (and I don't see ANYONE pushing this), pay congresspersons in proportion to how much they cut federal spending!
THEN we will see budget cuts! (That's how the private sector works... you get paid in proportion to how much $$ you save the company).
