• Blue Cross Blue Shield, Michigan’s largest health insurer, wants to increase rates 18.2% for 56,689 in its individual plan, and by 16.3% for its Blue Care Network individual plans covering 96,738.
• The company plans to hike small group plans for business with fewer than 51 employees by 11.2% and for its small group HMO plans by 12.4%. Those plans cover 149,136 and 125,146, respectively.
