Not for an executive order.
Not for a rally, a speech, or a headline.
But for something far more personal than any of those things.
- Thank you for getting up every single morning.
- At 79 years old.
- When it would have been so much easier to stay in bed.
- Thank you for the meals left untouched until they went cold.
- For the precious family moments that could never be brought back.
- For traveling to nations most Americans couldn't point to on a map.
- For attending briefings before most of the country had even opened its eyes.
- Thank you for enduring criticism that might have permanently broken most people.
- For rising again and again when the world told you to stay down...
