"Connecticut’s Attorney General agrees, saying Smart Meters “ showed no beneficial impact on total energy usage,” Jepsen said.
“And, the savings that were seen were limited to certain types of customers (very large users) and would be far outweighed by the cost of installing the new meter systems,” he said."

Currently, twenty-one states are not moving forward with expansion because they know Medicaid is a broken, unaffordable system that has "Had No Significant Effect" on health outcomes versus being uninsured.
Michigan should join these 21 states and oppose expansion. To prevent this incredible expansion of government, activists like you need to be armed with the facts so that the message of health care freedom can resonate across this great state. Join AFP and get the facts to share with others in your community.
Don't forget to bring the family!

Fed's taper signal revives a Wall Street memory - Economics - AEI:
"A seasoned, albeit cynical, Salomon Brothers bond trader taught me that "when the winds are strong even turkeys fly."
By this he meant that when global liquidity conditions are strong even countries with the weakest of economic fundamentals are able to place government bonds at very favorable interest rates.
By the same token, when global liquidity dries up, those very same countries with weak fundamentals get truly punished by the market."

Michigan Freedom Fund lists 6 embarrassing Democrats
Tim Skubick: Michigan Freedom Fund lists 6 embarrassing Democrats | MLive.com
At the top of the list, he dragged out a 2006 campaign spending violation by Mark Schauer. Maybe you’ve heard of him, although 70% of the voters have not. He’s the likely D running against Gov. Snyder.
The Schauer campaign was fined $200,000 for allegedly “ disregarding campaign finance laws.” Hit number one.
Hit number two.
Rep. Brian Banks (D-Detroit) has had his problems with the law and Mr. McNeilly is aggrieved that the House Democrats have done nothing about it other than to appoint Mr. Banks to the Criminal Justice committee. (Snicker, snicker.)
Hit number three.
A former state supreme court justice, Democrat Diane Hathaway, has traded in her black robe for a prison uniform. She’s in the slammer for shady business dealings.
Hit number four.
Where or where has Charles Pugh gone? The former president of the embattled Detroit City Council has been AWOL “after allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a teen boy” surfaced. Maybe Mr. Pugh is with Carman Santiago?
Hit number five.
Former Detroit Council woman Monica Conyers recently finished a prison term for bribery.
And hit number six: Kwame Kilpatrick is currently in the slammer but not with Ms. Hathaway.
Well there you have it, six hits or as the Freedom Fund sums it up, “One Michigan Democrat after another is either in prison, just got out of prison or is on their way there soon.”

Attorneys general raise privacy concerns over ObamaCare navigators (video) - The Hill's Healthwatch: "Bondi said that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is making it easier for someone to be hired as a so-called navigator, cutting back on background checks and eliminating a fingerprinting requirement, which could make it easier for a person’s private information to fall into the wrong hands.
“Because of time constraints, HHS [is] cutting back on the requirement to become a navigator, meaning they're not going to be doing background checks.
They're not going to be fingerprinting these people,” said Bondi in an interview with Fox.
“And it's more than navigators. It's people that assist the navigators.
Now, these navigators will have our consumers throughout the country's most personal and private information — tax return information, Social Security information.
And our biggest fear, of course, is identity theft.”

"In keeping with their practice of throwing money at nearly bankrupt green energy companies, the Obama administration dumped 100 million dollars into a nearly bankrupt company named Ecotality.
At the time the grant was given to Ecotality, they were nearly bankrupt, but the executives were offered 1 million dollars by their Chinese partners if they could secure free government money.
It turned out to be a slam dunk."
