Bill Bans EPA's Attack on Property Rights

Bill Bans EPA's Attack on Property Rights:
"The House is expected to vote on legislation as soon as Tuesday that would prohibit the Environmental Protection Agency and the Army Corps of Engineers from moving forward with their proposed “waters of the U.S.” rule.
In April, the EPA and Corps proposed regulation that would define what waters that they can regulate under the Clean Water Act.  For decades, they have tried to expand their jurisdiction.  This proposed rule is no exception, acting as both a water and land power grab. It has little to do with actually improving the environment. "

Well, if you want to increase drug use among the young, make it legal. Right?-----Regular marijuana use among college students at a three-decade high, survey says

Regular marijuana use among college students at a three-decade high, survey says | MLive.com:
"By 2013, that rate was up to 39 percent, meaning that 429 of the 1,100 students surveyed said they had used one or more drugs in the 12 months preceding the survey.
The study pointed out that daily or near-daily use of marijuana – defined as 20 or more occasions of use in the prior 30 days – has been on the rise.
The recent low was 3.5 percent in 2007, but the rate had risen to 5.1 percent by 2013.
"This is the highest rate of daily use observed among college students since 1981 – a third of a century ago,"
Lloyd Johnston, the principal investigator of the MTF study, said in a statement.
"In other words, one in every 20 college students was smoking pot on a daily or near-daily basis in 2013, including one in every 11 males and one in every 34 females.
To put this into a longer-term perspective, from 1990 to 1994, fewer than one in 50 college students used marijuana that frequently."

Cruz acknowledged the need for some sanctions such as blocking Islamic State’s access to funds, but stressed that, “because of the very nature of ISIS, the response must be principally military.”

The war against self sufficiency-------Ferrysburg weighs whether residents should be allowed to keep bees, goats in city limits

Ferrysburg weighs whether residents should be allowed to keep bees, goats in city limits | MLive.com:
FERRYSBURG, MI – City officials are mulling what sort of beasts its residents should be allowed to keep on non-farm areas inside the city limits.
Two separate requests from residents have brought issues with animals to the officials' attention this month, said Ferrysburg city manager Craig Bessinger.
One request comes from the Montambo family, which is hoping to keep goats that they've purchased.
Adam Montambo said he and his wife, Amanda, bought the goats in late 2013 after determining that several members of the family were allergic to cows' milk.
Sept. 11.
"They all have names. They all have personalities and they are a blast. They are less of a problem than my dog." - Adam Montambo on his family's goats
....Another resident's request concerned a honeybee colony.
The request prompted a proposed ordinance to revise the city's code on farm animals, Bessinger said.
The revised ordinance – which would lump honeybees colonies with other animals restricted to farms – was passed by the city Planning Commission Sept. 4.

REPORT: Border Patrol Caught Wanted Terrorists Coming Over the Border, Kept it Quiet:

"The ranches of the South and Southwest are under siege by a massive influx of illegal immigrants streaming across the border and as lawmakers and supposed law-enforcers in Washington earn political points by crusading for those who come here in violation of our laws, few appear interested in the plight of American citizens terrified by the invasion at the border.
According to Texas rancher Cuban “Rusty” Monsees, Mexican drug cartel members are wreaking havoc on the ranches near the border and using death threats and textbook intimidation to drive ranchers off their land.

In an interview with Oathkeepers, Monsees revealed: "

Just 'social media"?-----RUSSIAN MISSILES: Russian Bombers Near Canada Practice Cruise Missile Strikes On US

RUSSIAN MISSILES: Russian Bombers Near Canada Practice Cruise Missile Strikes On US - Clash Daily:
"It’s being reported that Russian strategic bombers made practice cruise missile attacks on the US during a training mission.
Remember when Obama mocked Mitt Romney for considering Russia a threat?
Check this out…
Two Russian strategic bombers conducted practice cruise missile attacks on the United States during a training mission last week that defense officials say appeared timed to the NATO summit in Wales.
The Russian Tu-95 Bear bombers were tracked flying a route across the northern Atlantic near Iceland, Greenland, and Canada’s northeast.
Analysis of the flight indicated the aircraft were conducting practice runs to a pre-determined “launch box”—an optimum point for firing nuclear-armed cruise missiles at U.S. targets, said defense officials familiar with intelligence reports.
Disclosure of the nuclear bombing practice comes as a Russian general last week called for Moscow to change its doctrine to include preemptive nuclear strikes on the United States and NATO.
Gen. Yuri Yakubov, a senior Defense Ministry official, was quoted by the state-run Interfax news agency as saying that Russia’s 2010 military doctrine should be revised to identify the United States and the NATO alliance as enemies, and clearly outline the conditions for a preemptive nuclear strike against them.
Yakubov said among other needed doctrinal changes, “it is necessary to hash out the conditions under which Russia could carry out a preemptive strike with the Russian Strategic Rocket Forces”—Moscow’s nuclear forces.

Report: No Global Warming For 215 Months

Report: No Global Warming For 215 Months | The Daily Caller:
"The numbers are in and the verdict is that there has been no global warming for 17 years and 11 months, according to satellite data.

Satellite data prepared by Lord Christopher Monckton shows there has been no warming trend from October of 1996 to August of 2014 — 215 months. To put this in perspective, kids graduating from high school this year have not lived through any global warming in their lifetimes.

According to Monckton — the third Viscount Monckton of Brenchley and a former policy adviser to U.K. Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher — the rate of warming has been half of what climate scientists initially predicted in the early 1990s.

The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) first predicted in 1990 that global temperatures would rise at a rate of 2.8 degrees Celsius per century. But the temperature rise since the IPCC’s prediction has only been at a rate of 1.4 degrees Celsius per century.

The so-called “pause” in global warming has baffled climate scientists, as many climate models did not predict a prolonged period of little to no warming. While some climate scientists deny the “pause” in global warming even exists, others have looked to places ocean and wind patterns for answers as to why there has been no warming for nearly two decades.

There are now literally dozens of potential explanations for the global warming “pause,” ranging from increasing volcanic activity to Chinese coal-fired power plant emissions."

Holi crapoli!!!!!------Ebola Spreading 'Exponentially' as Patients Seek Beds in Liberia

Ebola Spreading 'Exponentially' as Patients Seek Beds in Liberia - NBC News.com:

"The Ebola virus is spreading exponentially across Liberia as patients fill taxis in a fruitless search for medical care, the World Health Organization said Monday.
In Sierra Leone, a doctor working for WHO tested positive and was preparing to be evacuated from the country.
Meanwhile, the newest U.S. patient, a doctor infected in Liberia, was feeling a little better and could even eat a little, doctors treating him in Nebraska said.
The various reports illustrated in the clearest possible way the disparities driving the epidemic in West Africa, where there’s almost no medical system structure.
The three patients evacuated to the United States have all begun to recover quickly once they get good supportive care, which includes around-the-clock nursing care and good nutrition."

School Board Bans Chapstick: Gateway Drug to What ... Maybe Burt's Bees Lip Balm?

School Board Bans Chapstick: Gateway Drug to What ... Maybe Burt's Bees Lip Balm? - Hit & Run : Reason.com
An 11-year-old Stuarts Draft Elementary School student has collected petition signatures and officially asked the county school board to allow elementary students to use Chapstick.
Stuarts Draft fifth-grader Grace Karaffa appeared before the school board Thursday night, saying she had requested the substance while on the playground after suffering chapped lips.
"I was told I couldn't use it. Then later that day they (lips) started to bleed so I asked for Chapstick again and I was told that it was against the school policy for elementary kids to have Chapstick,'' Grace said.
Grace asked the school board to change its policy. "Chapstick allows the human body to heal the lips themselves and protects them in any weather from drying out,'' she said. She concluded her speech by saying, "Please school board, allow us to have Chapstick."
The response?
George Earhart, the assistant superintendent for administration with the Augusta County Schools, said Chapstick is considered an over-the-counter medication by the school board. The board has a policy regarding such medicines. He said Chapstick could be allowed if a physician asked for a student to use it, and it was administered by a school nurse.

Why the lies?!!!---------------If The Economy Is Recovering, Why Is The Labor Force Participation Rate At A 36 Year Low?

If The Economy Is Recovering, Why Is The Labor Force Participation Rate At A 36 Year Low?
Labor Force Participation RateWe have never seen an extended precipitous decline of this nature before.
But instead of admitting that we have a very serious problem on our hands, many mainstream economists are dismissing this decline as "structural in nature".  For example, check out the following excerpt from a recent Reuters article...
A paper published on Thursday by the Brookings Institution, a Washington-based think tank, suggested the decline was primarily due to an aging population and other structural factors, and concluded the labor force would continue to shrink.
But there is a major flaw in this analysis.  It turns out that older Americans are the only group for which employment numbers have actually been going up.  I really like how Zero Hedge made this point the other day...
Well that's very odd, because it was only two months ago that the Census wrote the following [5]: "Many older workers managed to stay employed during the recession; in fact, the population in age groups 65 and over were the only ones not to see a decline in the employment share from 2005 to 2010 (Figure 3-25)... Remaining employed and delaying retirement was one way of lessening the impact of the stock market decline and subsequent loss in retirement savings."
