The brave new age of gender-neutral kids - The Globe and Mail
The brave new age of gender-neutral kids - The Globe and Mail:
"When Storm was born seven years ago in Toronto, he or she became the most famous baby in the city.
That’s because Storm’s parents announced that they were going to raise the baby as gender neutral.
“If you really want to get to know someone, you don’t ask what’s between their legs,” Storm’s father, David Stocker, told The Toronto Star.
In an e-mail, Storm’s parents told their friends, “We’ve decided not to share Storm’s sex for now – a tribute to freedom and choice in place of limitation.”

Storm’s parents, it turns out, weren’t oddballs.
They were pioneers.

Anti-Trump Appeasers on the Right Empower the Mob - American Greatness
"...The Left is on a rampage in the media, academia, and corporate America to shut down anyone who strays from the prescribed narrative.
...The anti-Trump Right.
For two years, in their craven desire to destroy the president, Trump foes on the Right have either intentionally or unwittingly empowered the tyrannical Left.
They’ve given aid and comfort to the enemy by cribbing their language and borrowing their tactics. They sold out their previous “conservative” principles to win new admirers on the Left, particularly in the elite media.
...Since Trump was elected,
- ...Trump haters disguised as “conservatives” have joined the Left to call for the repeal of Second Amendment and restrictions on gun owners.
- They joined the Left in supporting the removal of historic statues.
- They joined the Left in accusing the president of coddling white supremacists and linking his staff to the alt-Right.
- They joined the Left in calling Trump a racist after allegedly referring to shithole countries as “shithole countries.”
- They joined the Left in bashing Evangelicals and mocking “thoughts and prayers.”
- They joined the Left in portraying Americans who want the flag and the anthem respected as demagogues and fake patriots.
- They joined the Left in demeaning Tea Party activists.
- They joined the Left in proclaiming they had discovered their “inner socialist” and “inner feminist.”
- They joined the Left in vilifying Trump voters as stupid and destroying the country.
- They joined the Left in admitting they are products of white privilege.
- They joined the Left in hoping Democrats take control of Congress in November and impeach Trump.
- They joined the Left in abandoning the rule of law and Constitutional norms by pushing the destructive Trump-Russia conspiracy hoax and ignoring the malfeasance of the Obama administration’s Justice Department.
At every turn, the anti-Trump “Right” has signaled its solidarity with the tyrannical Left..."

London's Mayor Declares Intense New 'Knife Control' Policies To Stop Epidemic Of Stabbings | Daily Wire:
"An epidemic of stabbings and acid attacks in London has gotten so bad that London mayor Sadiq Khan is announcing broad new "knife control" policies designed to keep these weapons of war out of the hands of Londoners looking to cause others harm...

Hungarian leader says Europe is now 'under invasion' by migrants | World news | The Guardian
"Hungary’s prime minister, Viktor Orbán, has warned “countries that don’t stop immigration will be lost” in a speech three weeks before he seeks re-election for a third term.
Addressing a huge crowd of supporters in Budapest on Thursday, Orbán used the speech to paint the upcoming vote as part of an existential battle for the survival of Hungary and Europe.
“Africa wants to kick down our door, and Brussels is not defending us,” Orbán told the crowds gathered outside the Hungarian parliament building in drizzling rain.
“Europe is under invasion already, and they are watching with their hands in the air...”

"PRE-DEMONIZATION OF CENTER-RIGHT MEDIA:
Much has been written about the MSM freakout regarding Sinclair here, and here.
What’s happening is this is nothing more than a campaign from the left to demonize Sinclair so that readers avoid it, and more importantly, relegate it to their list of “must ignore” platforms, like InfoWars or GatewayPundit.
It’s a pre-emptive move to further control the narrative and censor by repudiation what you see and hear.
Two important facts (known in the media business but pointedly ignored) are first, CNN sells a service called CNN Newservice to stations around the country, and customers repeat CNN’s scripts verbatim. Conan O’Brien discovered this as a source of humor as long ago as 2013.
The second fact is that even on more “serious” matters, like editorials, The Fair Media Counsel reports an anecdote from a former Tribune (now “Tronc”) journalist:
Sinclair isn’t the only organization to do such a thing, but it is perhaps the most visible and unapologetic in its approach. In the not-so-obvious file was this personal experience: When the FCC was considering raising the ownership cap, all Tribune-owned newspapers were told to run an editorial in support of the action. (The same editorial, by the way.) I had written a letter to the editor in opposition of that point of view. My letter was rejected, with a brief explanation: Tribune was not allowing letters with opposing points of view on that particular subject."Whatever happened to the marketplace of ideas?
It’s been abandoned in the culture wars.
In the new media marketplace, if you use center-right currency, your money — and your ideas — are no good here."---Posted by Charles Glasser

Court Puts Politics Above Law in State’s Lawsuit Against Trump | The Heritage Foundation:
"The plaintiffs claim that Trump violates the Constitution’s foreign emoluments clause and presidential compensation clause any time anyone who represents any foreign government or state, respectively, confers anything of value to Trump or any part of the Trump Organization business conglomerate.
That gets the purpose of those provisions fundamentally wrong.
The foreign emoluments clause and presidential compensation clause exist to keep certain federal officials from accepting compensation from states, Congress, or foreign nations, in exchange for favorable official treatment."

Walmart pulls toy guns resembling assault rifles to avoid triggering kids – Glenn Beck
Walmart pulls toy guns resembling assault rifles to avoid triggering kids – Glenn Beck:
"J. Reid Meloy, a forensic psychologist and longtime FBI consultant, said that “is a very important element that has been lost in the current debate.” Meloy determined the real problem was far more complex, involving a caustic mixture a “of troubled adolescent, unsecured firearms, general disorganization at home.” He added, “then you increase the risk, of course, of him being able to easily access a weapon.”"
The "Moderate" Muslim Scholar Industry
The "Moderate" Muslim Scholar Industry:
- I have lived for years in these places in the Middle East and seen with my own eyes the cruelty and abuse that takes place under extremist Islamic law. I have heard the screams of families as their loved ones were tortured and slaughtered for the simplest acts -- singing, dancing, voicing an opinion, or simply being a non-Muslim -- all of which are crimes.
- If we play the game of misinforming and misleading people about Islamism, by making irrelevant analogies to whitewash the violence and terrorism which are generated by Islamic fundamentalism, we are indoctrinating the literally millions of innocent children who will be either the perpetrators or victims of the next radical Islamic terror attacks -- including Muslims.
- Meanwhile the real scholars of Islam, such as Robert Spencer, who are trying to warn the public about these apologists, are called "Islamophobes," poisoned, often fired from work, censored on social media and barred from entering democratic countries such as Britain.
When I was new to the United States, a so-called "moderate" Muslim scholar pulled me aside and gave me some "friendly" words of advice:
His advice was accurate.
There is a huge industry of so-called "moderate" Muslim scholars, who are actually apologists for Islam.
This industry began to grow after the catastrophe of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and from there, expanded.
There seems to exist a symbiotic relationship between the mainstream media and liberal organizations on one side, and the "moderate" Muslim apologists on the other..."

"In the West, there is a trend unfolding. If you follow it, you will find great success, more than you can imagine. It is very easy, all you have to do is stick to a few simple rules. No matter what your personal views are, you must be a Muslim apologist -- an apologist for radical Islam -- and present yourself as a 'moderate' Muslim scholar. If you can accomplish this, they will lap it up. You will never want for anything again. You will easily gain wealth and become the most in-demand 'moderate' Muslim scholar in the West!"It sounded reasonable enough. "As you have the advantage of being from the region," he continued, "you will come across as authentic."
His advice was accurate.

Farmers in South Africa claim they are being targeted in 'horrific' attacks | The Independent
Farmers in South Africa claim they are being targeted in 'horrific' attacks | The Independent:
"White farmers in South Africa claim they are being targeted in a series of brutal attacks over land that are being overlooked by police and implicitly encouraged by the country’s parliament.
Activist groups promoting the rights of white people in the country claim there have been 90 recorded attacks in 2018 so far, with one farmer murdered every five days on average.
There is no official data supporting the idea that white farmers are more likely to be victims of attacks in South Africa, and the government strongly denies white people are being deliberately targeted and says farm murders are part of South Africa’s wider violent crime problem.
But the sheer brutality of the reported attacks – and the growing anger of a community in South Africa that believes it is being persecuted – are increasingly raising concerns.
The Independent spoke to a woman who described how she was gang raped by three men who invaded her family home, and a man whose brother was gunned down at the age of 21 and said he believed race to be a factor in the killing.
Last month the South African parliament passed a motion saying it will consider amending the constitution to allow the government to seize farmland without providing compensation – a move which the white nationalist lobbying group AfriForum, claims “projected and exacerbated” the view that attacking white farmers is justified..."

America Is Still the Home of Innovation | The Heritage Foundation:
"By contrast, in nations where liberty is curtailed or controlled by government, innovation is stymied. What innovations or inventions that we use today came from the old Soviet Union? From Cuba? Or North Korea?
It’s not out of line to say that the United States has directed the course of human history more significantly and positively than any other nation in the history of the world. The key to our success is, always has been and always will be our liberty. The liberty we enjoy unshackles the mind and nourishes creativity.
The ability to think and to question the status quo should also characterize our attitude toward government. Sadly, though, many Americans have come to regard the growing reach of Big Government as a necessity of modern life."
