"One significant issue I have with postmodern/progressivism is the penchant to assign every motive or action to a class.
Look at just some recent examples:

  • - Trump called Slutty Daniels "Horseface", so that means he hates all women.
  • - If you didn't believe Christine Ford, that means you don't believe any sexual assault victims.
  • - If you speak out against a jerk who happens to be black, that means you are a racist.
From a progressive viewpoint none of these situations could never be limited to conflicts between two individuals, they must be generalized to represent a “greater truth” – but that is a simple fallacy.

  • - If I dislike a single woman for reasons specific to that woman, it does not follow that I dislike all women. It means I have a problem with that specific woman
  • - If I simply do not believe the evidence/corroboration free accusations of a single woman in a specific situation, it does not mean I disbelieve and dismiss other women out of hand. It means that I simply do not believe that one specific woman.
  • - If I dislike a single black person due to aggressive, arrogant behavior, it does not mean I hate other black people who aren’t aggressive or arrogant. It means that I think that one person is a jerk.
This is a major source of the friction progressives create in our society.
When an issue between two individuals is inflated to apply to an entire class, class envy and class warfare ensues – and that is exactly the objective of progressive politicians because in that chaos, they find power.
Look at what those three aforementioned points mean when generalized from an individual to a class:

  • - Commenting on a woman’s physical appearance is an act of sexism.
  • - If you don’t “believe all survivors”, then you are a misogynist (and believe that the definition of “survivor” means anything the “survivor” wants it to mean).
  • - Confronting blacks exhibiting uncivil behavior means you are a racist.
When elevated from an individual disagreement to the hatred of an entire class, that is where political power and leverage is found.
A simple argument between two people is insignificant but if that argument can be defined as sexism, misogyny or racism, they take on a new level of significance.
While most Americans believe that a matter of contention between two people is up to them to resolve – a matter between classes is for government to resolve."

Canadians Already Spend Billions On Cannabis | Statista:
"Canada is becoming the second country in the world to legalize cannabis today, following in the footsteps of Uruguay who gave the drug the green light back in 2013.
Supporters claim the move will help eliminate much of the black-market drug trade and help bring about new medicinal advances.
...The legal framework of legalization is also shrouded in uncertainty and confusion.
For example, only purchases from official stores will be legal while sales of several ounces between friends could result in fines or jail time.
That is also true when it comes to sales of the drug to the minors; an 18-year old selling a few ounces to a 17-year old could result in the former getting 14 years in prison. ."

Climate Beer Goggles | Watts Up With That?

Climate Beer Goggles | Watts Up With That?
"There’s a new entry in the competition for the top spot in the “Climate Change Ruins Everything” competition.
This is the claim that “Severe climate events could cause shortages in the global beer supply”, as discussed here on WUWT.
YIKES! If true, that is more serious than sea level rise … they explain the danger as follows:
The study warns that increasingly widespread and severe drought and heat may cause substantial decreases in barley yields worldwide, affecting the supply used to make beer, and ultimately resulting in “dramatic” falls in beer consumption and rises in beer prices.
So I figured that I should take a look at “barley yields worldwide”.
I mean, if increasing heat causes “substantial decreases” in barley yields, we should see it in the record.
I went to one of my favorite datasets, the FAOSTAT database maintained by the Food and Agricultural Organization.
It has production, yield, and area harvested for most crops since 1961.
Here is their record of the barley yield over that period.
Since the global average temperature has increased over the period, I gotta say that it hasn’t had any visible effect on the global barley yield.
Is there a correlation between global barley yield and global temperature?..."

UN climate chief says communism is best to fight global warming
"Isn't the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse? Isn't it our responsiblity to bring that about?"
Maurice Strong, founder of the UN Environment Programme

"I envisage the principles of the Earth Charter to be a new form of the ten commandments. They lay the foundation for a sustainable global earth community."
- Mikhail Gorbachev, co-author of The Earth Charter

"We've got to ride this global warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic and environmental policy.
Timothy Wirth, President of the UN Foundation

Global warming aka climate change has long abandoned any connection it has with actual science. It is an ideology. A religion. Australia's former Prime Minister Tony Abbott likening it to, "socialism masquerading as environmentalism".

Nobel Prize Winner for Physics, Ivar Giaever - "I am a skeptic...Global warming has become a new religion."

Pulitzer Prize-winning syndicated columnist, the late and great Charles Krauthammer, articulated the motivation behind modern environmentalism. A movement using the threat of environmental disaster to limit the use of energy, destroy capitalism and advance socialism:

"There's no greater social power than the power to ration. And, other than rationing food, there is no greater instrument of social control than rationing energy, the currency of just about everything one does and uses in an advanced society."
The mainstream media has been complicit in frantically promoting ruinous climate change alarmism while 'denying' any dissenting opinions of the 30+ year-old 'science' promulgated by the IPCC - The UN's (pseudo) scientific body created to advance their stated, one-world government agenda under the guise of "Saving The Planet"

The clues to the real agenda of climate change keep rolling in. Harry Wilkinson writes an excellent fact-checking piece on the BBC's latest internal, totalitarian guidance to not air any dissenting views on climate change.

This quote sticking out like the proverbial 'sore thumb' as evidence of the global warming climate change political farce that is rapidly destroying western economies and western civilisation:

"The father of the two-degree target, veteran climate alarmist Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, has admitted the number is entirely fabricated: 'Two degrees is not a magical limit; it's clearly a political goal'. He nonetheless celebrates its cynical effectiveness at motivating international political action."

Rand Paul Reveals Media Hid Key Detail About GOP Baseball Attacker | Daily Wire

Rand Paul Reveals Media Hid Key Detail About GOP Baseball Attacker | Daily Wire
"Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul revealed on Wednesday that the media largely ignored a key detail from the attempted mass murder of Republican lawmakers last year at a baseball field in Virginia.
Appearing on Fox News' "FOX & Friends," Paul condemned the violent rhetoric of the political Left and the Democratic Party and warned that someone is going to end up getting killed if the inflammatory rhetoric doesn't stop.
"I was there at the ball field when Steven Scalise almost died from a very, very angry violent man who was incited really by rhetoric on the left,” Paul said.
"And this hasn’t been reported enough, when he came on the field with a semi-automatic weapon firing probably close to 200 shots at us, shooting five people and almost killing Steve Scalise, he was yelling 'this is for healthcare!" Paul said.
"He also had a list of conservative legislators, Republicans, in his pocket that he was willing to kill."
"So what happens is that when Democrats say 'get up in their face,' they need to realize that there are a lot of unstable people out there," Paul continued.
"There are people with anger issues, there are people who are prone to violence."

Should Art Be a Battleground for Social Justice? - The New York Times
"IN 2018, CULTURE IS BEING EVALUATED FOR ITS MORAL CORRECTNESS MORE THAN FOR ITS QUALITY. --By WESLEY MORRIS OCT. 3, 2018
The civilized dinner party is probably over — even when you’re dining with friends.
Everything means too much now.
Everything.
Our politics, obviously.
But our genders, our food, our television.
...No event captures this anxious confusion of activism and criticism better than the time a group of artists descended upon the Whitney Museum during last year’s biennial and demanded, in a protest letter, for the destruction of a painting that morally offended them.
Their issue wasn’t only with the painting but with the painter.
Dana Schutz’s “Open Casket” depicted Emmett Till in a whirring rictus of earth tones.
It’s a vague, unsure, respectfully deferential work, different from Schutz’s bigger, more dazzlingly audacious stuff.
One problem, according to the protesters, was that Schutz, as a white woman, had no business painting this young black martyr.
This was not, the letter argued, her story..."

The snowflake culture is killing our kids

Image result for "jazz hands"The snowflake culture is killing our kids:
"Did you know "jazz hands" are slowly replacing clapping?
No, really: Clapping as been banned at a leading university in the U.K. "to avoid triggering anxiety" for students.
Lest you think this practice doesn't exist in the U.S., I can personally vouch that it does.
When I spoke at Bard College in New York last year, the students there did this exact thing with their hands whenever one of their classmates would challenge me and they wanted to show their support.
I couldn't figure out what was going on until about halfway through the talk when I just flat-out asked the students,"What on Earth are you all doing?"
(I had kind of figured it out by then, but I wanted to hear them explain it.)
Ironically, just after reading the U.K. article I got text from a friend who said our local high school is doing away with class rank, valedictorian, and salutatorian.
The message?
It's just too stressful for kids to lose.
They can't cope..."

Want a radical plan to slow climate change? Eat less meat | National Post
"If you want to save the planet, put down your burger.
Or rather, finish it, savouring every single bite, and mentally prepare yourself not to have another until at least next week.
Raising animals for food is a major contributor to climate change, responsible for an estimated 14.5 percent of all global emissions.
Following last week’s U.N. report on the dire prospects for the future of the planet, the Climate, Land, Ambition & Rights Alliance has presented its own self-described “radical” plan to keep global temperatures from rising more than 1.5 degrees Celsius.
The report rejects many of the U.N.’s technologically-driven mitigation solutions, such as carbon capture and geoengineering, in favour of a simple approach.
The bottom line: Eat less meat-a lot, lot less..."
