Reporting on each other: the Covington boys, the Native American, and the smart phone vs. the telescreen – The New Neo

Reporting on each other: the Covington boys, the Native American, and the smart phone vs. the telescreen – The New Neo
"Reporting on each other: the Covington boys, the Native American, and the smart phone vs. the telescreen
...Here are a few of the details (follow any or all of those previous links to find plenty more):
The teen is not smirking in this clip, and Phillips [the Native American who was supposedly harassed] has an entourage with cameras. One of the Native activists argues with a Covington teen, who argues back. This and other clips have shown the Indian activists racially taunting the teens, saying things like ‘go back to Europe.’ Phillips has claimed that the teens were chanting ‘build the wall!,’ but that isn’t in any of the videos that circulated Saturday. Based on what can actually be seen and heard, it’s looks as if Phillips and his crew sought out Catholic teenagers and tried to make them uncomfortable. And of course, they recorded it…
…[S]o far, there’s no evidence to support that scenario [that the teen students were the racists], only the words of Phillips and his associates. That hasn’t stopped blue-checkmark media figures like former CNN blatherskite Reza Aslan from not only branding the teens as racists but in Aslan’s case musing about inflicting violence on them:

Honest question. Have you ever seen a more punchable face than this kid’s?

A great deal of hatred has been directed at these kids.."

The Women's March openly embraced the anti-Semitism it has been repeatedly accused of Saturday, with leaders openly embracing the Boycott-Divestment-Sanction movement from the Women's March podium, and issuing a new manifesto, released to coincide with the Washington, D.C., signature event, excoriating Congress and state legislators for condemning the BDS movement.

Video footage hosted by CNSNews.com below shows violent rioters vandalizing local businesses, destroying a limousine with hammers and pick-axes, spray-painting walls and windows, smashing kiosks, chanting “no cops, no borders, fight law and order” and “black lives matter.

Meanwhile local DC store owners and their customers are huddled in the back of their businesses, trying desperately to call police for help as their windows were smashed and bricks rain down from the mob.  Messages, including, “F–k Trump” and “Revolution or Death” continue to be painted upon the targeted buildings and businesses.
Among the group’s chants were “Black lives matter,” and “America was never great.”

Twitter Allows 'Verified' Calls for Violence Against Conservative High School Kids | Breitbart

Twitter Allows 'Verified' Calls for Violence Against Conservative High School Kids | Breitbart:

Image result for flickr commons images Twitter BirdTwitter has spent years assuring the public that it will crack down on trolling, harassment, and violent threats. It’s also pledged to tackle “misinformation” and “unhealthy conversation,” using these loaded terms as excuses to ban a wide range of anti-progressive dissidents from the platform.
But when innocent conservative high school kids are flooded with violent threats, targeted harassment and doxing on the basis of media-promoted misinformation, Jack Dorsey and his staff seem to do nothing — it even briefly promoted the smears.

We’re well past the point of urging the press to do better. Something is seriously wrong

We’re well past the point of urging the press to do better. Something is seriously wrong

  • The news media in the United States is horribly, perhaps irrevocably, broken.

"In the past 72 hours, there have been two major, all-consuming news cycles based on either inaccurate or outright false allegations.
Equally distressing as the fact that the press promoted these stories, despite obvious red flags, is that some reporters continue to cling to the original bogus narratives.
Because when it comes to accusations leveled against President Trump and conservatives, many in the nation’s largest and most powerful newsrooms are less arbiters of the truth and more active participants in the toxic, hyperpartisan culture wars.
...If there’s one takeaway from this weekend of clown-shoe news reporting, it’s that a disproportionate number of reporters care more about sticking it to the Right than they care about facts.
The press has long been an unabashedly political machine, its many members leaning hard to the Left.
But this weekend signals that the national news media have gone far beyond politics.
It's straight-up culture war now in our leading newsrooms, much of it catering to the lowest, meanest partisans.
Don't expect the reporting to get better.
So long as this industry continues its downward spiral into the supremely political, with reporters chasing blindly after wins for their respective teams, the reporting is only going to get worse.
Much worse."

Documents reveal Pelosi’s record of pricey travel at taxpayer expense – World Tribune: Window on the Real World
"In canceling House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s planned junket to Brussels and Afghanistan last week, President Donald Trump also saved U.S. taxpayers quite the bundle.
Pelosi has a penchant for pricey travel at taxpayer expense, according to documents obtained by government watchdog group Judicial Watch.
Pelosi’s military travel cost the United States Air Force more than $2 million over one two-year period, with $101,429.14 for in-flight expenses including food and alcohol.
One 2015 trip Pelosi took with a congressional delegation to Italy and Ukraine cost $134,587.81 plus $50,000 for an advance of funds for an “escort officer,” according to documents obtained by Judicial Watch via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit.
From July 30 to Aug. 6 in 2015, Pelosi took a trip to Milan, Rome and Naples, Italy, and Kiev, Ukraine, for herself, her husband, several members of congress and their spouses..."
