The CO2 Derangement Syndrome – a historical overview | Watts Up With That?

The CO2 Derangement Syndrome – a historical overview | Watts Up With That?
"A very large majority of establishment academic climate scientists have succumbed to a virulent infectious disease – the CO2 Derangement Syndrome.
Those afflicted  by this syndrome  present with a spectrum of symptoms.
The first is an almost total inability to recognize the most obvious Millennial and 60 year  emergent patterns which are trivially obvious in solar activity and global temperature data.
This causes the  natural  climate cycle variability to appear frightening and emotionally overwhelming.
Critical thinking capacity is badly degraded.
The delusionary world inhabited by the eco-left establishment activist elite is epitomized by Harvard’s Naomi Oreskes  science-based fiction, “The Collapse of Western-Civilization: A View from the Future”..."

If The U.S. Has To Pull Its Diplomats Out Of Venezuela, Here's How They Would Do It - The Drive
"Venezuela is in the midst of major civil unrest following the decision by the President of the country’s National Assembly, Juan Guaido, to declare himself the new Interim President of Venezuela.
The United States, among others, has recognized Guaido, creating a standoff of sorts with the regime of the country’s embattled President Nicols Maduro.
While the chances for a major military intervention still seem low, the U.S. military could find itself deploying forces to the country soon in order to help U.S. diplomats and other American nationals evacuate or to provide additional security at diplomatic and other U.S. government facilities..."

How $137 Billion Strangely Disappears | AIER
See the source image"In fiscal year 2018, $137 billion was paid “improperly” by the federal government, according to a recent report.
That number sums all the improper payments by what the government calls high-priority programs. They are programs with improper-payments estimates exceeding $2 billion annually.
If it makes your head spin, it should.
...Now that’s where the good news stops, I am afraid.
In 2015, the $137 billion was spread over 15 programs.
The $137 billion in improper payments in 2018 is spread over 12 programs.
In other words, each program’s improper payments have grown..."

Winter is Coming - Super Grand Solar Minimum - NextBigFuture.com Winter is Coming - Super Grand Solar Minimum
"Professor Valentina Zharkova gave a presentation of her Climate and the Solar Magnetic Field hypothesis at the Global Warming Policy Foundation in October, 2018.
Zharkova models solar sunspot and magnetic activity.
Her models have run at a 93% accuracy and her findings suggest a Super Grand Solar Minimum could begin in 2020.
A Super Grand Solar Minimum would have four magnetic fields out of phase. There was about 40-60 years of cold weather 350 years ago.
This was a Maunder Minimum of lower solar activity.
...Zharkova believes the warming models are including the warming effect of increased solar activity.
If she is correct there would be cooling and the warming models would be wrong.

Researchers at San Diego State University and Michigan State University have created a new app meant to help schoolteachers combat their own “implicit biases.”
The application is called EQUIP (Equity Quantified in Participation), and monitors individual student participation in order to “help teachers be more intentional when eliciting participation and responding to student ideas,” in order to build more “equitable classrooms.”...

"At least 1,500 private jets are expected to descend on Davos and nearby airports in Switzerland this week as the international financial and political elite gathers to talk about global climate challenges.
That would be up from the more than 1,300 aircraft movements seen at last year’s forum, despite climate change registering as the top risk factor identified for the global economy in a survey of World Economic Forum (WEF) movers and shakers last week.
Sir David Attenborough, a lead speaker this year, has already stated that climate is the issue of our time..."

"All the other problems in California have been solved.
California knows no bounds when it comes to radical LGBT activism. On Thursday, State Senator and Senate Judiciary Committee chair Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara) announced that only “gender neutral” pronouns will be permitted during committee hearings.
“Our first order of business is to approve the committee rules. I’d like to note — in respecting the fact that we are now a state recognizing the non-binary designation as a gender — he and she, we are now merging them so we are using what my grammar teacher would have had a heart attack over: we are using the phrase ‘they’ and replacing other designations so it’s a gender neutral designation: ‘they’” announced the Democrat. “Basically, that’s the primary reforms and revisions to the committee rules.”...
