In the annals of U.S. law enforcement, no individual has reached such depths of disgrace as James “Cardinal” Comey. The “Cardinal” was a sobriquet that FBI agents used to denigrate their leader. As Deputy Attorney General, he was called “drama queen.” Known for his pomposity and self-regard, Comey cut a swath of arrogance unmatched in the histories of either of those illustrious organizations. He was the cult of personality. He surrounded himself with sycophants, people dedicated to his promotion and their advancement. The Bureau and the public became the losers.
Not only were the students she approached ecstatic to sign it, but one member of UCLA’s student government encouraged her to change the language to “diversity” and “sensitivity training” to hide their real intentions so the administration would approve it.
Lawmakers in Illinois have advanced legislation that would require President Trump to release five years of his tax returns in order to appear on the state’s 2020 presidential ballot.
The Illinois state Senate voted 36-19 on Thursday to pass the bill, which will now move to the state’s Democrat-controlled House, according to Chicago radio station WBEZ..."
Obama wore a $2,300 Stine Goya pantsuit paired with $16,000 diamond hoop earrings. Via The New York Post:
For the first stop on the European leg of her book tour, the former FLOTUS, 55, arrived at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark, wearing a millennial pink suit embellished with bursts of crystals by local label Stine Goya. The blazer retails for $1,350, while the matching pants go for $960.
But the bestselling author didn’t just relegate the glitz to her apparel; she finished things off with a pair of mega-carat earrings. Obama wore a pair of $16,250 diamond hoops from Vhernier’s “Pop” collection, currently available for purchase at the label’s boutiques nationwide.
Michelle Obama shows she is down with the struggle by wearing outrageously expensive brand names and bling. The former First Lady previously wore $4,000 sequin Balenciaga over-the-knee boots with an ill-fitting mustard yellow dress."
President Trump's trial balloon of sending migrants surging across our border to sanctuary cities has been derided by Democrats as 'cynicism and cruelty' as well as 'a new low' by Trump, but it has a precedent: President Obama.
Back in 2014, when the migrant surge of that year brought tens of thousands of "unaccompanied children" and "moms and kids," into the Rio Grande Valley, overwhelming the Texas processing facilities, President Obama inexplicably targeted small and mid-sized cities (same as the Trump officials' emails) as their next destination of choice. And instead of talking about it, they really did try to bus the unvetted migrants into small cities such as Murietta, California; Yuma, Arizona; and a conservative area of New Mexico, bringing crime, disease, and a high need for social services, without consulting those communities.
Jean Inconneau "𝘾𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙙 The thoughtless crusade to eliminate plastic packaging is misinformed. Lighter, non-recyclable packaging actually generates less waste. And once you start looking into plastic packaging, this kind of counterintuitive conclusion comes up all the time. Some packaging is a foolish waste, but are shrink-wrapped cucumbers really so silly if it means they stay fresh for 14 days rather than three? Which is worse 1.5g (0.05oz) of plastic wrap or entire cucumbers going off before being eaten? Plastic bags stop bananas going brown so quickly, or new potatoes going green; they catch grapes that fall off bunches. About a decade ago, one UK supermarket experimented with taking all its fruit and vegetables out of their packaging - and its food wastage rate doubled. And it's not just shelf life - what about waste created before food gets to the shop in the first place?..." Read all.

9th Circuit Deals Trump An Immigration Win. Yes, You Read That Right | The Daily Caller:
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals temporarily lifted an order suspending the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), a Trump administration policy that requires Central American asylum-seekers to remain in Mexico before their appearance in immigration court.
Though the Friday evening stay is not indicative of the government’s future prospects in this case, it was a rare victory for an administration that has often struggled before the left-leaning court.
Democrats just rejected tuition assistance for Gold Star families but approved it for illegal immigrants. Would these Democrats dare to look into the eyes of the children of fallen servicemen and women and say they matter less than those here illegally?
Empire State Democrats quashed a bill on Tuesday that would have provided free tuition for Gold Star families that had lost a child killed in the line of duty in service to the country.
But the move comes only a week after the same legislature passed a $175 billion state budget that contained $27 million to give free tuition to illegal aliens..."
Rod Rosenstein Defends Attorney General’s Handling Of Mueller Report | The Daily Caller:
Outgoing Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Thursday defended Attorney General William Barr against allegations that he is misleading Congress and the public about the special counsel’s Russia report.
“He’s being as forthcoming as he can, and so this notion that he’s trying to mislead people, I think is just completely bizarre,” Rosenstein said in a rare interview with The Wall Street Journal.
How a Survey on Race Disproves White Privilege | Frontpage Mag
"White privilege, the hottest racist idea since cross-burnings at midnight and photos with Farrakhan, is a subject of academic study and media discourse.
It’s hard to escape its pernicious message that an entire race is tainted by virtue of its skin color and that the accomplishments of any individual white person are due, not to his or her efforts, but to race, skin color, and a national infrastructure of white supremacism.
But who actually believes in white privilege?
...According to the survey, the race most likely to believe that white skin gets you ahead in life are Asians.
...It’s curious that the single most successful non-white race is so convinced of the benefits of whiteness..." Lots more here, read all!
Who's Worse—Julian Assange or the New York Times and Washington Post? | Roger L. Simon "...Ironically, not a peep has been heard from the same people (or almost anybody for that matter) thus far about another recent egregious misuse of journalism that resulted not in arrests but in the awarding of its most famous prize, the Pulitzer. As Beth Baumann noted for Townhall: Let's not forget that The Washington Post and The New York Times won the 2018 Pultizer Prize for their national reporting of President Donald Trump's alleged collusion with Russia. They were awarded $15,000 in a joint prize. ...They received the award "For deeply sourced, relentlessly reported coverage in the public interest that dramatically furthered the nation’s understanding of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and its connections to the Trump campaign, the President-elect’s transition team and his eventual administration. ...Deeply sourced? What a laugh. As we now know post-Mueller report, these "respected" journalists were simply trafficking in collusion lies whispered to them by biased informants. In other words, they were a bunch of gullible, over-zealous propagandists. For that they received their Pulitzers, as yet unreturned... So, in other words, these mainstream media reporters have gotten off with nary a slap on the wrist (indeed received fame and fortune) for lying while Julian Assange may be headed for prison for telling the truth. There's a bit of irony in that, no?... Read all.
President Trump’s shrewd governance, along with unforced errors by the Democratic Party, has the president positioned to not only win the White House for a second term but also to win back the House and make gains in the Senate.
There are five major factors that will make this a reality: the economy, illegal immigration, socialism, the Mueller report, and the rule of law. Let’s break each of these issues down.
Of course spying occurred in 2016 against the Trump campaign by the Obama administration. What do you think a FISA warrant is for?
“I think spying did occur… but the question is whether it was predicated, adequately predicated?”
That was Attorney General William Barr testifying before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee
...And of course spying occurred.
The nearly three-year investigation was complete with Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants, approved in federal court, that allowed federal officials to look at Trump campaign emails, listen to phone calls and see other communications.
That’s what a FISA warrant does.
It’s for surveillance, which is right in the name of the statute. That is spying..." Read all!
Mount Holyoke College placed a Trump-supporting campus police chief was on leave after students scrutinized social media posts in which the chief expressed his support for the president.
The college has yet to say exactly why it placed the chief on leave.
