COULTER: Who Are You Going To Believe, Netflix Or The Evidence? | The Daily Caller:

Image result for flickr commons images Central ParkLast week, we reviewed the evidence of “innocence” of the “Central Park Five” presented in the court of Hollywood. This week, we’ll review the evidence of their guilt — presented in courts of law and ruled on by actual judges and juries.
The five accused rapists — Kevin Richardson, Antron McCray, Raymond Santana, Yusef Salaam and Kharey Wise — were duly convicted of the 1989 Central Park rape, as well as other assaults in the park that night; “exonerated” 13 years later; and, more than a decade after that, paid $40 million by the city of New York to settle a malicious prosecution case within months of Bill de Blasio becoming mayor, despite city lawyers’ confidence that they would win at trial.

The U.K. Has Banned ‘Harmful Gender Stereotypes’ in Advertisements – Reason.com

The U.K. Has Banned ‘Harmful Gender Stereotypes’ in Advertisements – Reason.com
"Men can't cook, and women are bad at sports.
Those stereotypes are just two of many that, as of last week, are illegal in British advertisements.
Indeed, the United Kingdom's Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) instituted a ban on gender stereotypes "that are likely to cause harm, or serious or widespread offence." According to the ASA's overview, setups that will likely be in violation of the law include but are not limited to:
    • An ad that depicts a man with his feet up and family members creating mess around a home while a woman is solely responsible for cleaning up the mess.
    • An ad that depicts a man or a woman failing to achieve a task specifically because of their gender e.g. a man's inability to change nappies [diapers]; a woman's inability to park a car.
    • Where an ad features a person with a physique that does not match an ideal stereotypically associated with their gender, the ad should not imply that their physique is a significant reason for them not being successful, for example in their romantic or social lives.
    • An ad that seeks to emphasise the contrast between a boy's stereotypical personality (e.g. daring) with a girl's stereotypical personality (e.g. caring) needs to be handled with care.
    • An ad aimed at new mums which suggests that looking attractive or keeping a home pristine is a priority over other factors such as their emotional wellbeing.
The ban was implemented following an ASA review which concluded that stereotypical depictions pave the way for "real-world psychological, physical, economic, social and political harm for individuals and groups."..."

Sun spotless for 33 days straight – airline travelers getting dosed with up to 70 times more radiation | Watts Up With That?
"Are we in a solar grand minimum? We’ve seen this before, but now predictions are for an extremely weak solar cycle ahead.
Today is the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere. The sun has been without a single observable sunspot now for over a month – 33 days according to NOAA and SIDC data. Spaceweather.com says:
“This is a sign of Solar Minimum, a phase of the solar cycle that brings extra cosmic rays, long-lasting holes in the sun’s atmosphere, and a possible surplus of noctilucent clouds. “

There’s been sightings of the electric blue noctilucent clouds as far south as Joshua Tree, near Los Angeles, and many many other locations.
But one of the most interesting things is due to the fact that the Sun’s magnetic field has weakened, more cosmic rays are now bombarding Earth and some airline flights are seeing doses of radiation up to 73 times that which we’d see at ground level..."

Maggie Hassan is facing federal charges stemming from a scheme to publicly post the personal information of several Republican politicians amid the contentious confirmation hearings for now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
The aide, Samantha Deforest Davis, was a staff assistant in Hassan’s office from August 2017 until last December. She was fired after Capitol Police discovered her possible involvement in the so-called "doxing" effort.
Court documents accuse Davis of aiding 27-year-old Jackson A. Cosko, a former Hassan aide who has pleaded guilty to five federal offenses, including two counts of making public restricted personal information, and one count each of computer fraud, witness tampering and obstruction of justice.

canoodlesoup.com - Vintage Advertisements That Would Be Banned Today:
"With the rise of mass consumerism during the 20th century, advertising became as important (if not more important) than the actual product being sold.
In the days when advertisers took full liberty to use any and all methods to promote their product, some were questionable.
Here’s a look back at some of the most outrageous ads that left us thinking who could have possibly approved these?"
Lots of GREAT ads here, read 'em all!

Democrats’ Problem Is Not The 70-Somethings Leading The Party

Democrats’ Problem Is Not The 70-Somethings Leading The Party

  • Their problem is activist types are trying to fill the vacuum created when their extremism decimated a generation of more mainstream Democratic politicians.

Image result for Barack Obama meme"Andrew Ferguson, one of America’s great working writers, asks of the 2020 presidential field: “Why have national Democrats and not national Republicans fallen under the tyranny of the 70-somethings?”
But the main answer he offers—vanity and self-indulgence—seems like a small part of the problem and does not explain the difference between the parties.
...Consider the Obama era.
Over the course of Barack Obama’s tenure as president, the Democrats lost more than 1,030 seats in state legislatures, governor’s mansions, and Congress.
As Lisa Lerer wrote for the Associated Press after the 2016 election: “The defeats have all but wiped out a generation of young Democrats..."

Mural of George Washington that ‘traumatizes students’ to be covered up | The College Fix
"There are plans in the works to cover a mural of George Washington from the halls of George Washington High School in San Francisco due to complaints that it’s offensive and demeaning to Native Americans and African Americans.
The San Francisco school board is expected to decide next week whether to cover the image or paint over it, but there’s no plans among top officials to leave the imagery in the open for students to view, according to several Bay Area news reports.
Board members appear to agree with a working group’s determination that the mural “traumatizes students and community members.”
The “Life of Washington” mural, which consists of 13 panels, was painted in 1936..."

Black Witness Booed For Testifying Against Slave Reparations In Congress | The Daily Caller

Image result for flickr commons images capital hillBlack Witness Booed For Testifying Against Slave Reparations In Congress | The Daily Caller:

A black writer was booed Wednesday for testifying against slave reparations in a congressional hearing.
Quillette columnist Coleman Hughes said reparation payments to the descendants of slaves would insult black Americans, further divide the country, and make him and other descendants of slaves “victims without their consent.”

Patricia Anthone --"...although slavery was a worldwide institution for thousands of years, nowhere in the world was slavery a controversial issue prior to the 18th century..."

Patricia Anthone - Denis Meyers

"Of all the tragic facts about the history of slavery, the most astonishing to an American today is that, although slavery was a worldwide institution for thousands of years, nowhere in the world was slavery a controversial issue prior to the 18th century. People of every race and color were enslaved – and enslaved others. White people were still being bought and sold as slaves in the Ottoman Empire, decades after American blacks were freed.
Everyone hated the idea of being a slave but few had any qualms about enslaving others. Slavery was just not an issue, not even among intellectuals, much less among political leaders, until the 18th century – and then it was an issue only in Western civilization. Among those who turned against slavery in the 18th century were George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry and other American leaders. You could research all of the 18th century Africa or Asia or the Middle East without finding any comparable rejection of slavery there. But who is singled out for scathing criticism today? American leaders of the 18th century.
Deciding that slavery was wrong was much easier than deciding what to do with millions of people from another continent, of another race, and without any historical preparation for living as free citizens in a society like that of the United States, where they were 20 percent of the population.
It is clear from the private correspondence of Washington, Jefferson, and many others that their moral rejection of slavery was unambiguous, but the practical question of what to do now had them baffled. That would remain so for more than half a century.
...Incidentally, the September 2003 issue of National Geographic had an article about the millions of people still enslaved around the world right now. But where is the moral indignation about that?"

Trump’s Way To Victory--Kurt Schlichter

Trump’s Way To Victory
"Ignore the battlefield prep from the mainstream media – Donald Trump is the odds-on favorite for reelection against whichever weirdo, loser or mutation the Democrats finally pick as their nominee.
...Trust the Trump.
...Declarations of how much we Normal people suck.
That’s their platform.
It’s not very appealing in places where people have jobs that involve sweating and headgear.
And while the Dems may run up 60%-70% margins among baristas and public employee union parasites in the blue states, who cares?
...If it was some soft, effete Fredocon Republican running for the honor of losing like a gentleman, you know our nominee would never be so impolite as to mention how Pete E. Neuman or Pocahantas or whoever is promising to bring back an era of misery.
But Trump will.
He’s no sissy like Mitt.
Can you imagine if Candy Crowley had piped up at Trump?
He’d have crushed her with binders full of tweets.
Trump will trumpet his successes shamelessly, which is exactly what we need.
We need a promoter, a loud and proud conservative who’s not worried that the swells at the country club might find him “Oh well I never!”
He’s not ashamed to win.
In fact, he cannot conceive of doing anything else..."

Remember the price spikes for appliances after Trump’s tariffs? Well, they’re fading away - MarketWatch

"An army of studies have contended for months that President Trump’s import tariffs were costing American families hundreds of dollars a year through higher prices of goods such as washers and dryers.
The only problem is, there’s not much evidence.
Take washers and dryers.
Prices did spike after tariffs took effect in mid-2018 on models manufactured outside the U.S.
And it still costs about 6% more to buy a laundry appliance now than it did last year.
But the cost of new appliances have started to fall, government data show..."

Most goods and services affect by tariffs never saw any price spike at all, however..."

Dan Crenshaw exposes Dem motive behind bill meant to trick Americans into Believing LIE - YouTube--Tree Jumper
"Let's read the text, it's not that long:
"Beginning April 1, 2019, the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Secretary of the Treasury may not take any action to implement, enforce, or otherwise give effect to the guidance entitled 'State Relief and Empowerment Waivers,' and the Secretaries may not promulgate any substantially similar guidance or rule."
OK, from the text you can tell that has nothing to do with pre-existing conditions.
So what does this have to do with?
...That's why all of these states have actually changed their programs that they've innovated.
The Trump administration saw this and they said, "Why don't we make it even more flexible for states? Why don't we give states even more flexibility to both protect people with pre-existing conditions, but do it in a way that doesn't raise everybody's premiums?"..."
