“We do know that the government has downplayed the official figures for years … The French government and media seem to be mostly complicit in their silence, perhaps because the Church and Christianity is seen as a historically powerful majority,” Ellen Fantini of the Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination Against Christians in Europe told the Daily Caller News Foundation in an email Thursday.

It's Not Really a Climate Thing: It's about Control
"Fascism, Communism, Nazism -- all gifts to the world from Europe.
See the source imageNow it's nonsensical worries about climate change resulting in deliberately built-in inefficiencies in everything from household appliances to transportation methods.
Compared to the U.S., Europe’s love of control-down economics leaves it in the dust:
“The US GDP is five times that of Germany, seven times that of France and UK, 10 times of that of Italy, and 14 times of that of Spain in 2018.”...
Still, the control freaks of the left are determined to copy the European model and hamstring us in ways that make us easier to control.
I’ve spent a great deal more time overseas than juniors on their semester abroad in Avignon have, and I can tell you that everything from working mothers to GDP are beset by control economies. It takes forever to do the laundry in Europe. The machines may save energy and water but it leaves housewives having to spend much, much longer to get the family laundry done. So much time it takes to accomplish normal household chores that full-time working mothers are rarer there than here.
When comparing employment statistics between the United States and the EU, we find that:
  • Women are more likely to be managers in the United States than in the EU.
  • Labor force participation for women is lower in the EU than in the United States.
  • Part-time employment among women is greater in the EU than in the United States.
The gender wage gap is larger in the EU than in the United States...
...Do homeowners really want to wait two hours (twice what it once took) to get these dishes done? This administration thinks not..."

"Northwest Orient Airlines Flight 2501 was a DC-4 propliner operating its daily transcontinental service between New York City and Seattle when it disappeared on the night of June 23, 1950.
The flight was carrying 55 passengers and three crew members; the loss of all 58 on board made it the deadliest commercial airliner accident in American history at the time.[2]
The aircraft was at approximately 3,500 feet (1,100 m) over Lake Michigan, 18 miles (29 km) NNW of Benton Harbor, Michigan[3] when it vanished from radar screens after requesting a descent to 2,500 feet (760 m)..."

College Admissions Are Rigged In Favor Of Prominent Democrats | The Daily Caller

College Admissions Are Rigged In Favor Of Prominent Democrats | The Daily Caller:
Image result for Yale University
The children of sympathetic politicians are an obvious priority for admissions officers. These children’s parents are the same politicians who funnel many billions in tax dollars to colleges and universities every year. Letting a senator’s kid into Harvard is smart business. The quid quo pro is obvious. It’s a form of unregulated lobbying. Remember the Varsity Blues scandal in California, where a group of socially anxious soccer moms tried to game college admissions? This is far more corrupt, except nobody’s going to prison for it.
So, how many Chris Cuomos get into Yale every year? We don’t really know.

New York City outage: Power restored but questions remain

The view of Manhattan's skyline during a partial blackout, from West New York, New JerseyNew York City outage: Power restored but questions remain
"Victor Davis Hanson coined “The Bloomberg Syndrome:”
It is a human trait to focus on cheap and lofty rhetoric rather than costly, earthy reality. It is a bureaucratic characteristic to rail against the trifling misdemeanor rather than address the often-dangerous felony. And it is political habit to mask one’s own failures by lecturing others on their supposed shortcomings. Ambitious elected officials often manage to do all three.

The result in these hard times is that our elected sheriffs, mayors, and governors are loudly weighing in on national and global challenges that are quite often out of their own jurisdiction, while ignoring or failing to solve the very problems that they were elected to address.
Quite simply, the next time your elected local or state official holds a press conference about global warming, the Middle East, or the national political climate, expect to experience poor county law enforcement, bad municipal services, or regional insolvency."

"France's energy and ecology minister, François de Rugy, is in hot water after French media revealed he spent taxpayer money on lavish dinners and renovations to his official residence. The government has announced an inquiry into the matter.
Everyone needs to relax after a hard day in the office.
Why not enjoy a little champagne and a lobster dinner with some friends?
When the gilt furniture looks a little less golden and the chandeliers a little less luminous, who wouldn’t want to do a little home refurbishment?
Best of all, get the taxpayer to foot the bill..."

WALSH: 3 Helpful Tips For The Suffering Feminists Who Are Being Persecuted By Air Conditioning | Daily Wire:

Image result for flickr commons images Air Conditioner UnitEvery year around this time, as the temperatures rise and the polar ice caps melt and planetary doom inches closer, our privileged and obviously bored society erupts into a debate about air conditioning. If you are a healthy and sane person who doesn't spend much time on the internet, you might be surprised to learn that air conditioning is the subject of any sort of debate. It is, after all, an objective good — a clear improvement over the alternative, which includes sweltering temperatures, sweaty bodies, heat exhaustion, and death. Air conditioning joins the ranks of indoor plumbing and electricity as a net-positive modern invention that has made life healthier, better, and more comfortable for billions of people worldwide. You would have to be a world-class whiner to find any reason to complain about something so wondrous and useful as air conditioning.

Harriett Lublin - Michael Laprarie: ICE raids in January 2016, as...
"ICE raids in January 2016, as well as the construction of detention centers and record deportations by the Obama administration were generally met with crickets.
As with the current round of raids and deportations, the raids 3 1/2 years ago focused on families whose asylum claims had been declined, yet continued to reside in the US."
Twitter doesn’t like these. They’re “potentially abusive.” Lol!!!

FBI arrests ex-Puerto Rico officials for disaster aid-funded payoffs

FBI arrests ex-Puerto Rico officials for disaster aid-funded payoffs:

Image result for wikicommons images Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo RossellThe FBI has arrested two former Puerto Rico officials for funneling disaster aid payments to politically connected contractors.
The Wednesday arrests have prompted concern on Capitol Hill that the island’s corruption will blunt the effectiveness of a recently passed disaster aid bill. Rep. Ral Grijalva, D-Ariz., has called for Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rossell's resignation, according to the Washington Post.
The FBI indictment charges Puerto Rico's former Education Secretary Julia Keleher, former Health Insurance Agency Chief ngela vila-Marrero, and four others with crimes related to grifting U.S. disaster aid. Keleher and vila-Marrero both served in Rossell's administration before leaving in April and June, respectively.
