Last month, Schiff said neither he nor his committee had contact with the whistleblower. He also said that he might never have found out about the whistleblower complaint if the Intelligence Committee inspector general had not brought it to the committee's attention.
These two statements, were, of course, not true at all.

The volunteers picked up 50 tons of garbage in this backward land. 
Nowhere is the gap between the rich and the poor greater. The poor live in tents, while the rich reside in the most expensive houses in the world.
The poor face typhoid and other debilitating diseases that were eliminated in civilized nations. 
People poop in the street for lack of indoor plumbing.
...Elsewhere in this nation state, electricity is a luxury as the power has been cut off to hundreds of thousands of citizens in preparation for a natural disaster.
...Something must be done to save this land from itself. Taking over this backward Third World nation would be easy. 
...But that would mean spending trillions on another foray into nation building.
California sadly has very little hope.
It wasn't always that way."

"Listening to the apocalyptic shrieking of the Klimate Kids and the Extinction Rebellion nutters, it is clear that they are not only staggeringly ignorant of “the science” they fetishise, but completely and utterly divorced from anything approaching reality.

Like old-fashioned fire-and-brimstone preachers, scowling teenagers rant about the fire, tribulation and wailing and teeth-gnashing which awaits us climate sinners. 
But the strictly empirical evidence to date is that the mild warming of the 20th century has been extremely beneficial. 

The world has greened, fires have declined dramatically, natural disasters like cyclones have decreased, droughts have remained stable or decreased, and food is ever-more abundant.

Those are the facts.
Not “projections”, but hard, empirical data.

The concern over climate change is not so much about the warming that has occurred over the past century. 

Rather, the concern is about projections of 21st century climate change based on climate model simulations of human-caused global warming, particularly those driven by the RCP8.5 greenhouse gas concentration scenario.

Simulations and models should never, ever be confused with empirical data, let alone regarded as hard facts. 

And certainly not models which are “useless pieces of junk or worse…when they are used for climate forecasting”..."

"On Thursday morning the White House announced that President Donald Trump will award the Medal of Honor to Army Master Sgt. Matthew O. Williams for conspicuous gallantry in Afghanistan in April of 2008. 

It’s a good thing the President is celebrating the remarkable service of Sgt. Williams because the courageous Green Beret clearly isn’t prone to celebrating himself.

In an Army video posted today, our hero describes the ordeal he faced that day in the Shok Valley in a tone one might use to describe the challenges of installing drywall in an unfinished basement. 

He describes jumping out of a helicopter on to the treacherous terrain and credibly reports that it was “not a great way to start the day.”

Things went downhill from there. 

According to the White House:

In the face of rocket-propelled grenade, sniper, and machine gun fire, Sergeant Williams led an Afghan Commando element across a fast-moving, ice cold, and waist-deep river to fight its way up a terraced mountain to the besieged lead element of the assault force. Sergeant Williams then set up a base of fire that the enemy was not able to overcome. When his Team Sergeant was wounded by sniper fire, Sergeant Williams exposed himself to enemy fire to come to his aid and to move him down the sheer mountainside to the casualty collection point. Sergeant Williams then braved small arms fire and climbed back up the cliff to evacuate other injured soldiers and repair the team’s satellite radio. He again exposed himself to enemy fire as he helped move several casualties down the near vertical mountainside and as he carried and loaded casualties on to evacuation helicopters. Sergeant Williams’s actions helped save the lives of four critically wounded Soldiers and prevented the lead element of the assault force from being overrun by the enemy.

It’s hard to imagine greater heroism in battle. 

But don’t expect Sgt. Williams to go on and on about it..."
