Ukraine probe: Why Joe Biden won't answer questions about his son Hunter and Burisma gas company - TheBlaze:

Image result for wikicommons images hunter bidenCase in point, why would the Ukrainian natural gas company, Burisma, hire Hunter Biden in the first place? Hunter had zero experience in the gas industry, was struggling with serious substance abuse, and was in and out of rehab the entire time he was employed by the Ukrainian company. And they paid their troubled new-hire a reported $50,000 a month — though it may have been more than $200,000 a month.
"You are Burisma. You are a Chinese corporation associated with the national government. You're a bank," Stu said. "You're tightly tied to the government and you're just going to hire Hunter Biden? With no experience, with no obvious reason why he would be hired, and he will be paid, not $50,000 a month ... but much, much more than that. It seems like it was more than $200,000 a month to do these duties.

Rewarding Erdogan, Forgoing the EU: the Moral from Volkswagen’s New Factory in Turkey

Rewarding Erdogan, Forgoing the EU: the Moral from Volkswagen’s New Factory in TurkeyRewarding Erdogan, Forgoing the EU: the Moral from Volkswagen’s New Factory in Turkey
"After many months of eager expectations and behind-the-scenes competition, it has recently become clear that German carmaker Volkswagen has chosen Turkey over Bulgaria, Romania, and Serbia as the site for its new car factory, a massive investment worth over EUR 1 billion (USD 1.010 billion).
...The moral from the saga with Volkswagen’s new factory in Turkey is twofold, and it is a sad one for the EU in both of its dimensions.

  • The first part of that bitter lesson is that, given roughly equal opportunities, the largest EU-based companies such as Volkswagen are prepared to ignore the home turf of the EU in favor of countries with questionable democratic records, higher degree of political risk, and even fiery anti-EU and anti-Western rhetoric – in essence rewarding that type of behavior instead of strengthening their some of their own.
  • The second part of the lesson is that the EU competition rules regarding state aid to private enterprises – which are designed to ensure fair play in the EU’s internal market – can cause the EU itself to lose major investment competitions with outside players which have no such fair play scruples but unabashedly seek to promote themselves precisely with state aid.
Not good for the EU!

The NBA’s Support for Tyranny | The Heritage Foundation:

Image result for wikicommons images BasketballThe NBA’s position on social justice is crystal clear. They are more than happy to virtue-signal their political correctness so long as it doesn’t affect their bottom line. North Carolina’s bathroom legislation proved too offensive to the league’s sensibilities, but they don’t find offensive what is happening in China and Hong Kong.  Evidently the NBA has no quarrel with China stifling freedom of expression, denying freedom of religion, and assaulting and imprisoning political dissidents.

SOLAR FORCING: A HUGE PARADIGM SHIFT

SOLAR FORCING: A HUGE PARADIGM SHIFT
"I've been saying it for years now, and finally, it may be happening: the real driver of weather on Earth is the Sun, and all weather systems are at a fundamental level electromagnetic in nature.
And there's been a sea-change in climate science because of this and  - guess what? - it's not due to human activity or cattle flatulence...
Solar forcing for CMIP6 (v3.2)--Pay attention to that last paragraph:
...The consideration of particle forcing has been shown to significantly improve the representation of reactive nitrogen and ozone variability in the polar middle atmosphere, eventually resulting in further improvements in the representation of solar climate variability in global models. (Emphasis added)
Or to put that "country simple": if your climate change model does not include the effect of solar radiation and activity on the Earth's climate and some other stuff like galactic bursts and cosmic rays - which most of the merely chemical models of "coming ice age/global warming" models of the past few decades did not - then your model isn't of much use, because the biggest driver of weather is the Sun and its radiation.
When G.L.R. sent along the above-linked paper, the email also included a video, and trust me folks, this is a video worth watching, and pay careful attention to what is said around the five minute mark:

So why would there be potential misdirection about this subject?...

The public unraveling of Chuck “the presidential race is over” Todd continued last week when the Meet the Press moderator bragged about suppressing news.
This was actually the second time last week that proved President Trump has thoroughly broken Chuck Todd, has undone the poor guy to a point where he keeps publicly humiliating himself with bizarre behavior.

Not just liars. They are the dumbest people on earth!----ABC News Airs KY Gun Range Video, Calling It a Syrian War Zone—Twice

ABC News Airs KY Gun Range Video, Calling It a Syrian War Zone—Twice
"...The footage, which ABC News purported was of an attack on the border town of Tal Abyad, was aired Sunday on World News Tonight and Good Morning America on Monday morning. However, a comparison by Gizmodo shows the video was captured at Knob Creek Gun Range in West Point, Kentucky back in 2017.
“[I]t’s clear that the videos are the same,” said the website.
On Sunday, ABC News anchor Tom Llamas aired some of the footage, reporting that it showed “the situation rapidly spiraling out of control in northern Syria.”
“One week since President Trump ordered U.S. forces out of that region, effectively abandoning America’s allies in the fight against [ISIS],” Llamas framed the purported scoop.
“This video right here appearing to show Turkey’s military bombing Kurd civilians in a Syrian border town,”  he went on. “The Kurds, who fought alongside the U.S. against ISIS. Now, horrific reports of atrocities committed by Turkish-backed fighters on those very allies.”
ABC News has since released a statement in which it issued a correction and apology for the error.
“[W]e’ve taken down video that aired on World News Tonight Sunday and Good Morning America this morning that appeared to be from the Syrian border immediately after questions were raised about its accuracy. ABC News regrets the error,” a press representative for the network said."

97% of climate scientists agree that we only have 18 months to save their jobs – Genesius Times
"An international body of nearly 100 climate scientists convened by the United Nations have issued a stern warning to the rest of the world.
See the source imageUnless governments around the globe undertake “unprecedented” action to reverse it, 97 percent of climate scientists will lose their jobs.
In short, the scientists say the world has only eighteen months to tackle climate change to avoid some serious unemployment in the climate science industry.
“If we can’t convince people that the world is ending soon due to climate change and thus secure funding for more studies about how the world is ending,” said climatologist Peter Zeiglerface, “then we’re going to be out of a job and forced to sit at home and play with our home weather stations all day!”...

Brutal wipeout for Democrats in Louisiana, and the press trying to keep it quiet

Brutal wipeout for Democrats in Louisiana, and the press trying to keep it quiet
"The last of the Louisiana state election numbers are in, and it's not pretty for the Democrats.
Not only does its moderate Democratic governor, John Bel Edwards, face a runoff, as noted here, but the state Senate has taken a supermajority.
And a whole bunch of key state offices went squarely to Republicans.
Funny how the press isn't covering this much.
But Guy Benson at Townhall is, and he found a Democratic Party "decimated":
Among statewide office-holders, the incumbent GOP Lieutenant Governor (68 percent), Attorney General (66 percent), Treasurer (60 percent, and Agricultural Commissioner (58 percent) were all re-elected without the need for a run-off, under the state's 'jungle primary'-style system.  It also appears that the solid Republican majorities in both state legislative chambers will remain intact — with the GOP expanding its Senate advantage into super-majority territory by picking up a pair of Democratic seats:
...And not only did the Republicans take a Senate supermajority, but they almost snapped away the state House, too...
...This makes the whole thing sound like a wave election, with a big warning to the Left for 2020.
And that ought to be big news — a warning to the impeachment-obsessed Beltway Democrats that the voters aren't buying into their repeated stunts to unseat President Trump.
The lack of press coverage of what ought to be a front-page story almost seems delusional.
Trump has noticed that one:
The Media is not talking about the big Republican victory last night in Louisiana where a sitting Democrat Governor was forced into a runoff by not getting 50%. Big upset! Now @EddieRispone, who will be a great Governor, will win!

Several Democratic presidential candidates called for the repeal of laws that require HIV-positive individuals to disclose their status to sexual partners during last week's CNN town hall on LGBTQ issues, according to the Washington Examiner.
These HIV disclosure laws exist to make it illegal for someone to expose another person to the virus without them knowing about it and having an opportunity to give informed sexual consent with knowledge of the risk.

We Teach Nothing, We Know Nothing—and That Could Cost the United States Everything | Trending:
See the source image"...Teaching to the test is shallow.
Add in that history teaching is being watered down overall across our public education system, and we have a problem.
That problem was exposed, unintentionally, by an Obama administration official.
Far be it from me to agree with an Obama acolyte, but Ben Rhodes infamously said, "They literally know nothing" about the journalists he manipulated to sell the awful Iran nuclear deal.
This, he said, made it easy to sell that deal.
He was a liberal, most journalists are default liberal, so they believed whatever he told them.
Lack of knowledge makes a whole lot of things easier for crafty people.
He wasn't wrong.
And he wasn't just talking about journalists.
Most people literally know nothing about history.
And along with losing foundations in history, public schools no longer teach rhetoric or critical thinking.
So people don't know what they don't know, and don't know what that means..."
