Mike Bloomberg Is Paying ‘Influencers’ to Make Him Seem Cool
- The Bloomberg campaign is trying an ad strategy familiar to every other startup with a ton of cash and a questionable business model: Paying influencers to make it seem cool.
The Bloomberg campaign has quietly begun a campaign on Tribe, a “branded content marketplace” that connects social-media influencers with the brands that want to advertise to their followers, to pitch influencers on creating content highlighting why they love the former New York City mayor—for a price..."

'The View' host insults SOTU Tuskegee Airman by calling him a 'political prop' - WND:

An American hero was denigrated Wednesday as a "political prop" by one co-host on "The View" who objected to the fact that President Donald Trump honored retired Air Force Brig. Gen. Charles McGee, one of the last surviving Tuskegee Airmen, during the State of the Union address Tuesday night.
"I saw reality TV being produced, and I don’t think that’s the place for the State of the Union, and I saw him touting his accomplishments with the black community, and I was offended by the fact that he was trying to use a Tuskegee Airman as a prop, as a political prop," co-host Sunny Hostin said.

California Democrat Introduces Bill That Could Fine Or Jail People For Not Voting | The Daily Caller
California Democrat Introduces Bill That Could Fine Or Jail People For Not Voting | The Daily Caller:

The bill would require anyone who is at least 18 years of age and qualified to vote by the next election to cast a ballot. The Secretary of State would decide how to enforce the law, and the San Francisco Chronicle reports that voting would be similar to jury duty, where fines or incarceration would be penalties for neglecting to fulfill the obligation. “This bill would instead require a person who qualifies and is registered to vote to cast a ballot, marked or unmarked in whole or in part, at every election held within the territory within which the person resides and the election is held. The bill would require the Secretary of State to enforce this requirement,” the bill reads.

High-tax states' bonds are so in demand that ratings don't matter
- There’s so much money chasing after the bonds sold by America’s high-tax states that buyers don’t seem to care too much about what credit-rating companies think.
"The heavy demand overall has driven municipal yields to their lowest in more than six-decades.
And with rates so low, the yield penalties that would typically differentiate a deeply indebted state from a thrifty one have become little more than rounding errors that in some cases contrast with their standing in the ratings pecking order.
...This dynamic shows how dramatic the demand has become for tax-exempt securities since President Donald Trump’s 2017 tax law limited state and local deductions.
That change drove investors in high tax-states like California, New York and New Jersey into municipal bonds as an alternative way to drive down what they owe..."

Kurt Schlichter---Democrats' Total Failure and Utter Humiliation Delights All Real Americans
Democrats' Total Failure and Utter Humiliation Delights All Real Americans"Now that the Democrats’ dream of stealing the 2016 election through the power of MSNBCNN-fueled outrage, and through plots by fussy lib bureaucrats, lies in ruins, some people might argue that we should be gracious in our total victory and not mock the stinging pain that accompanied this latest agonizing failure.
Some people are sissies.

"A caller to Rush’s show made an excellent point: If Romney believed just a week ago that there was not enough evidence to convict Trump without additional witnesses, how can he vote to convict today when there have been no additional witnesses?”
There’s nothing sadder than people who talk about standards and principles while engaging in transparently self-serving doubletalk.
You can get the same point, made rather more pungently, at Ace’s.--Posted by Glenn Reynolds"
