While the President shares a message of unity and reaches across the aisle to prioritize Americans’ health and safety, some Democrats and partisan hacks in the media are viciously cheering the number of coronavirus cases in the United States:

• Failed Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton: He did promise “America First.”
• The Guardian: Trump’s America first is working: the US now leads the world in coronavirus cases
• Sirius XM Radio Host Dean Obeidallah: Trump wanted to make America First – well he did it… the US is #1 in terms of [coronavirus] cases
• GQ Magazine Correspondent Julia Ioffe: Who’s the shithole country now?
• Daily Beast Columnist Julia Davis: Is that what Trump meant by “America First”?

Even worse, the mainstream media is working overtime to spread disinformation:

• CNN dismissed China’s role in the crisis saying it was a “waste of time” and “just ridiculous” to talk about. (Reminder: China lied about the Wuhan virus and tried to blame the United States.)
• CNN aired a false chyron attempting to “fact check” the President’s claim that the U.S. tested more than any other country.
• MSNBC pushed the blatant lie that President Trump was responsible for the death of a man who tragically died after ingesting fish tank cleaner.
• CNN hosts failed to fact check guests who claimed President Trump called coronavirus a hoax, despite admitting they know it’s a lie."

"Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said this week that “snitches” in his city will get “rewards” if they tattle on neighbors who could be violating the stay-at-home order put in place to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
...“If any non-essential businesses continue to operate in violation of the stay at home order, we’re going to act to enforce the safer at home order and ensure their compliance,” Garcetti said, according to CBS Los Angeles.

"...The amount of Americans who are reported to have died from the Coronavirus is based on a CDC coding system that will “result in COVID-19 being the underlying cause more often than not.”

A new ICD code was established to keep track of Coronavirus deaths.
The U07.1 code will be used for death by Coronavirus infection.

• However, there’s another secondary code, U07.2, “for clinical or epidemiological diagnosis of COVID-19 where a laboratory confirmation is inconclusive or not available,” the CDC guidelines read.
• “Because laboratory test results are not typically reported on death certificates in the U.S., NCHS is not planning to implement U07.2 for mortality statistics.”

This is a huge problem.
“The underlying cause depends upon what and where conditions are reported on the death certificate. 
However, the rules for coding and selection of the underlying cause of death are expected to result in COVID- 19 being the underlying cause more often than not,” the guidelines read.

• “COVID-19 should be reported on the death certificate for all decedents where the disease caused or is assumed to have caused or contributed to death,” CDC guidelines issued March 24 read. “Certifiers should include as much detail as possible based on their knowledge of the case, medical records, laboratory testing, etc.,” the guidance continued.

“If the decedent had other chronic conditions such as COPD or asthma that may have also contributed, these conditions can be reported in Part II."
