Enemy states and bioterrorists have learned a lot from COVID-19 crisis - Washington Times
"...But while there is no consensus on the origins of COVID-19, there is no doubt that it has been a bonanza for states and terrorists who now know a lot more about critical vulnerabilities of big powers including the United States and NATO, as well as Russia and China.
Image result for Enemy states and bioterrorists• The spread of biological toxins, including viruses, can be very broad, even global.
Manufacturing and distribution systems can be significantly harmed.
• First Responder and hospital systems lack surge capacity and can be overwhelmed.
• There is a shortage of medical supplies from simple facial masks and hand disinfectants to critical equipment such as ventilators and pharmacological supplies.
• Military operations can be delayed, re-purposed or simply halted; China is ramping up military operations in the South China Sea.
• Economic activity is severely reduced and markets in capitalist countries are stressed and losing value at depression levels..."

Are COVID-19 Deaths Being Overreported? - American Greatness

Are COVID-19 Deaths Being Overreported? - American Greatness
  • Playing loose with the number of fatalities or giving local officials the greenlight to inflate those figures is inimical to the public’s need to get a firm grasp on the danger of the disease.
"According to some tracking sites, the U.S. death toll from the novel coronavirus reached 10,000 victims on Monday.
...But there is little information available as to what qualifies as a coronavirus fatality for official counts.
See the source imageAnd there is good reason to approach such tallies with skepticism since reporting from states like New York is suspiciously vague.
Health officials have confirmed that older people and those with underlying medical issues such as heart disease or diabetes are most at-risk; the concern, however, is that fatalities in such cases are always attributed to coronavirus as the main cause of death instead of just noting it as a contributing factor.
  • Questionable Guidance
Guidelines recently released by the Centers for Disease Control bolster concerns that the death toll is being rigged to show a higher fatality rate.
  • “In cases where a definite diagnosis of COVID–19 cannot be made, but it is suspected or likely (e.g., the circumstances are compelling within a reasonable degree of certainty), it is acceptable to report COVID–19 on a death certificate as ‘probable’ or ‘presumed’,” the agency advises. “In these instances, certifiers should use their best clinical judgment in determining if a COVID–19 infection was likely.”
That clinical judgment, alarmingly, does not require administering a test to confirm the presence of the virus.
  • “Ideally, testing for COVID–19 should be conducted, but it is acceptable to report COVID–19 on a death certificate without this confirmation if the circumstances are compelling within a reasonable degree of certainty,” the guidelines state.
The CDC provided three examples to help officials determine how to properly document the cause of death.

  • One scenario described an 86-year-old female nonambulatory stroke victim who developed a fever and cough days after being exposed to a sick family member later diagnosed with COVID-19. Even though the decedent wasn’t tested, the coroner nonetheless determined that the woman’s underlying cause of death was COVID–19, “given the patient’s symptoms and exposure to an infected individual.”

Let’s just say that kind of bureaucratic guesswork is unacceptable while the economy is in chaos, tens of millions are suddenly out of work, and power-hungry government tyrants arrest surfers and pastors for daring to violate “social distancing” decrees handed down to their local authorities by Beltway lifers.
But even with such leeway, the death toll tallied by the CDC isn’t close to the number of COVID-19 fatalities reported by sites such as the New York Times or Worldometers..."

A Democratic representative in Detroit, Michigan, is crediting hydroxychloroquine for saving her life after she began suffering from coronavirus, and she is thanking President Donald Trump.
State Rep. Karen Whitsett says that she likely would not have received the drug had the president not publicized it so greatly.
"It has a lot to do with the president ... bringing it up," Whitsett said to the Detroit Free Press. "He is the only person who has the power to make it a priority."

  • “this epidemic may be new, [but] the racist and xenophobic discourse and images on the news and social media are all too familiar.”
In an email sent by Michigan State University on April 2, eight recommendations were given to handle COVID-19.

  • MSU encourages students to be an “upstander" by standing up to “racist, dog-whistle, ageist, xenophobic, classist or other speech that divides our community.”
  • Further, the MSU community should, “especially stand up against the denigration of anyone in our Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi American (APIDA) community at this time and in the future days... because we are seeing a rise in anti-APIDA racism.”

As I recently argued elsewhere, America’s educational system has not prepared us for the government power grab because it does not create enough Emersonian independent thinkers or, frankly, even adult thinkers.

Epidemiologist: Coronavirus could be 'exterminated' if lockdowns lifted - WND:

The virus could be "exterminated" within weeks if people were allowed to lead normal lives and the vulnerable were sheltered until the virus passes, said Knut Wittkowski, Ph.D., the former head of the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design at the Rockefeller University in New York City.
"[W]hat people are trying to do is flatten the curve. I don’t really know why," he said in an interview with The Press and The Public Project that was featured by The College Fix.

A Party of Haters | Power Line

"The Democrats are hysterically blaming President Trump for the fact that the Wuhan virus is killing some Americans.
No doubt, they also will blame Trump for the recession that will be caused, not by the virus, but by government’s reaction–overreaction, in my opinion–to the virus.
In doing this, the Democrats are making some critical assumptions.

  • They assume that voters won’t remember that when President Trump banned travel from China at the end of January, Democrats unanimously (including Joe Biden) denounced his action as racist and xenophobic.
  • While, on the other hand, as late as February 24, Nancy Pelosi did a photo-op for San Francisco news stations in Chinatown, strolling down the sidewalk surrounded by community “leaders” and cameramen, urging everyone to come to Chinatown, the rumored virus is no problem, no one is sick here.

...So the Democrats are doing what they do best: they are resorting to hate.
They rely on blind, irrational hatred of President Trump to win back the White House and empower their socialist dreams.
Examples could be multiplied endlessly–just go on Twitter!–but here are a couple.
Haley Stevens is an actual Congresswoman from Michigan. She tweeted this, and apparently has deleted it since her Republican opponent started using it in his fundraising appeals:

Mooney told the FOX31 Problem Solvers he refused to provide his identification to three police officers because he was confident he wasn’t doing anything unlawful by playing tee-ball with his wife and daughter at the park.
“She's like, ‘Daddy, I don't want you to get arrested.'
