Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage has said that President Donald Trump was right to halt funding of the World Health Organization over its handling of the Chinese coronavirus, saying the WHO had “actively helped to spread this disease around the world” through its irresponsibility.
President Trump announced on Tuesday: “Today, I’m instructing my administration to halt funding of the World Health Organization while a review is conducted to assess the World Health Organization’s role in severely mismanaging and covering up the spread of the coronavirus.

My concern is the "precedent" that's been set.
  • Given that some flu versions are as bad/worse than COVID, and no one will know "how bad" until it's over, what will the "trigger point" be for future PPBWRDHACs (Possible Pandemic But We Really Don't Have A Clue).
  • RINOs/democrats/media seem to love the new, seeming unlimited power to crash businesses.
  • And millions more seem giddy as neighborhood "Snitch-NAZIs".
  • Seems to be much support for "if it saves just one life" moronism.

More power to FB? Think that's good?

New Data Suggest the Coronavirus Isn’t as Deadly as We Thought - WSJ

New Data Suggest the Coronavirus Isn’t as Deadly as We Thought - WSJ
"The Covid-19 shutdowns have been based on the premise that the disease would kill more than two million Americans absent drastic actions to slow its spread.
Image result for Coronavirus expertsThat model assumed case fatality rates—the share of infected people who die from the disease—of 1% to 3%.
The World Health Organization’s estimated case-fatality rate was 3.4%.
...The preliminary results—the research will now undergo peer review—show that between 2.5% and 4.2% of county residents are estimated to have antibodies against the virus.
That translates into 48,000 to 81,000 infections, 50 to 85 times as high as the number of known cases.
That may sound scary, but it’s great news.
It suggests that the large majority of people who contract Covid-19 recover without ever knowing they were infected, and that the U.S. infection fatality rate may be more than an order of magnitude lower than authorities had assumed.
Based on this seroprevalence data, the authors estimate that in Santa Clara County the true infection fatality rate is somewhere in the range of 0.12% to 0.2%—far closer to seasonal influenza than to the original, case-based estimates.
...Yet if policy makers were aware from the outset that the Covid-19 death toll would be closer to that of seasonal flu than the millions of American deaths predicted by early models dependent on inputs that now look inaccurate, would they have risked tens of millions of jobs and livelihoods?...

Trump accuses NYC of padding its coronavirus death toll

Trump accuses NYC of padding its coronavirus death toll
"President Trump on Wednesday questioned Mayor Bill de Blasio’s revised coronavirus death toll — a day after New York City revised how it tracks fatalities by adding more than 3,700 victims who died of apparent coronavirus symptoms and were never tested.
“I see this morning where New York added 3,000 [sic] deaths because they died. Rather than [a] heart attack, they say heart attack caused by this,” he said during the daily briefing of the Coronavirus Task Force, referring to COVID-19.
Responding to a question about the staggering US death toll, which topped 27,000 Wednesday, the president suggested that the Big Apple added the new deaths to the tally “just in case” the victims had the virus..."

The Trump administration is reportedly going to court in order to complete the U.S.-Mexico border wall, not letting the coronavirus pandemic get in the way of its most lauded campaign goal.
While the coronavirus crisis has altered the way of life for most of the country’s workforce, the Trump administration is only gaining steam in its effort to build barriers along the southern border, according to federal court records reviewed by Reuters. The White House repeatedly turned to the courts to seize land from private owners.

"I saw this on a friend’s page today.
I have never read a post so worth the time."
"I want you to stop for just a minute and look at this picture and pray.
If our country would PRAY for the man instead of scrutinizing EVERY word or thing he does it’s unimaginable what could be done because a nation decided to pray...
This is NOT a political post.
This is simply a post that I hope you can find in your heart to think about. Put aside your opinions just for a minute.
It was overwhelming today just thinking about the weight that he must be carrying.
I have my little family and they are the only ones who truly depend on me day in and day out.
Even with so few, my anxiety level at times is through the roof and I feel like the weight of the world is on me.
I know when he signed up for this role, he was willing to take on whatever, but the magnitude of what we’re experiencing has got to be paralyzing.
Maybe it is- maybe it isn’t- but can you imagine?
I sat and wondered how he must be dealing with it all.
When it’s quiet and his head finally hits a pillow after he’s been on his feet all day, press conference after briefing after press conference...
Does he cry?
Is he even able to sleep?
Is he scared?
Can he shut his mind off?
When I look at our President, I want to see him the way God sees him and I want the Lord to use him for His glory!
Whether he’s making you proud or not, I’m urging you to look at this photo and ask the Lord to soften your heart to him, lift him up in prayer.
He needs them.
He’s carrying the weight of the world!
Once again... not a political post just want to share what’s been heavy on my heart today.
I have been forced to rise above my best capabilities many many times... yet nothing like this man is being challenged to do.
I am personally pulling for him to do an AMAZING JOB for all of us."

"Way back on Feb. 23, The Post ran an opinion piece by Steven Mosher saying that we couldn’t trust China’s story about the origins of COVID-19.
He argued that the virus might — might — have jumped to the human population thanks to errors at a Chinese laboratory in Wuhan, rather than via that city’s now-notorious “wet market.”

"China’s notorious “wet markets,” the open-air wildlife slaughterhouses that were supposedly the mechanism for the Wuhan coronavirus jumping from animals to humans, are back in business with the approval of the World Health Organization (WHO).
The WHO seal of approval stunned government officials and health experts around the globe.

Four county sheriffs in Michigan have announced opposition to Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's restrictive stay-at-home orders, arguing that the governor is "overstepping her executive authority" amid the coronavirus pandemic.
In a news release Wednesday afternoon, the sheriffs from Manistee, Benzie, Leelanau, and Mason counties, asserted that they would not strictly enforce the governor's orders but instead "deal with every case as an individual situation and apply common sense in assessing the apparent violation."
