"Predictive modelling is fortune telling NOT science"--Air-Climate-Energy

Air-Climate-Energy--Janet Evelyn
"Your thoughts?
Stanford is being raked over the coals partly because the study isn't peer-reviewed.
But where are the peer-reviewed studies that Fauci, CDC, WHO, Birx based their decisions on to shut down the economy?
Predictive modelling is fortune telling NOT science - whether used for viruses or Global Warming/Climate Change.
If any good has come out of this debacle, it is this realization.
Where is the accountability for CDC/WHO making wrong predictions & destroying the economy?"

At his April 15 press conference, President Donald Trump launched into a fierce attack on the Voice of America, the U.S. government’s broadcasting entity that reaches out to the world in 47 different languages and is a part of the U.S. Agency for Global Media.
The president called the VOA’s coverage of the COVID-19 crisis “disgusting” and a “disgrace,” and accused it of bias and of spreading Chinese propaganda about the coronavirus.

New evidence points to Chinese lab as possible source of COVID-19 — The National Telegraph

New evidence points to Chinese lab as possible source of COVID-19 — The National Telegraph
"What started out seemingly like a very unrealistic theory on how the COVID19 virus first started to spread, may have more merit to it than first assumed due to new evidence.
...The only high-security infectious disease laboratory in China is located in Wuhan, the city where the first COVID19 infections were reported.
Not only that but this laboratory, known as the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), near the wet markets first suspected of spawning the virus, but a report was released showing that in 2018 US diplomats had voiced serious concerns over the safety of the laboratory.
...Multiple pandemics from other years have been spread from China due to mishandling of infectious diseases within labs, all the way back to the 1970’s, if the virus did originate from the lab this would be a likely explanation.
...There has also been reported that some Chinese researchers have had the habit of selling laboratory animals to street vendors after experimentation on them is finished...

Nolte: Neither Trump Nor Cuomo Nor Anyone Can Be Blamed for a Single Coronavirus Death

Image result for Flicker commons images Hospital Emergency RoomsNolte: Neither Trump Nor Cuomo Nor Anyone Can Be Blamed for a Single Coronavirus Death:

The bottom line is this: if the healthcare system doesn’t crash, our public officials did their jobs. And our healthcare system didn’t crash, not even in New York City, so no one can be blamed for a single coronavirus death — not President Trump, not Andrew Cuomo, not anyone.
Here are the facts:

Can’t Find Real Nazis? That’s Ok, Just Make Them Up! | The Illustrated Primer
"It can happen to anyone.
You urgently need a Nazi to support some progressive narrative but alas, there are no actual Nazis to be found?
No worries!
Follow these easy steps and you will no longer have to depend on the volatile market inventory.
Instead, you can continue to play imaginary anti-fascist warrior and still collect all the medals that you deserve.
Here is our five step program to get you there:
  1. Get a large Nazi flag on eBay
  2. Add Trump’s and Pence’s names to your flag
  3. Stand with your flag in front of some Trump supporters and have a colleague take a picture
  4. Upload the image to social media with a caption like: “I just came back from a walk in the park and you won’t believe what I saw—a Nazi Trump Supporter!!.”
  5. Sit back and enjoy the likes and the synthetic outrage

One example of this five step program, is the content generated by the progressive Twitter account “Thunder Walks About”.
On the April 15, 2020, Operation Gridlock event where hundreds of Michiganders turned up in the state’s capitol for a protest against the stay-at-home orders implemented to combat the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus disease.
One of the images posted about this event shows a flag bearing a swastika and the words “Trump” and “Pence”.
The text in the post stated:
“Today I witnessed a bunch of trump supporters crashing a peaceful rally I was attending with my family. They were profane, disrespectful & crowded behind a nazi flag. Not one trumpster confronted him on his racism. They all stood behind him of course, showing their true selves”.
Several other media outlets also misidentified the context of the image and the man holding the Nazi flag as Robert Sterkeson, who during the Bernie rally in Arizona, unfurled a similar of flag.,,"

New Michael Moore-Backed Documentary On YouTube Reveals Massive Ecological Impacts Of Renewables
"Over the last 10 years, everyone from celebrity influencers including Elon Musk, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Al Gore, to major technology brands including Apple, have repeatedly claimed that renewables like solar panels and wind farms are less polluting than fossil fuels.
But a new documentary, “Planet of the Humans,” being released free to the public on YouTube today, the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, reveals that industrial wind farms, solar farms, biomass, and biofuels are wrecking natural environments.
“Planet of the Humans was produced by Oscar-winning filmmaker Michael Moore.
“I assumed solar panels would last forever,” Moore told Reuters.
“I didn’t know what went into the making of them.”

Publications that spent years reporting on the Steele dossier have either largely underreported or completely ignored the recent news showing evidence of Russian disinformation.
A GOP-led fact-checking campaign resulted in previously-classified footnotes being released. Some of the news came out April 10, followed by more being released April 15. The footnotes indicate that an organization not named in the IG report gave the FBI evidence about Russian operatives’ disinformation campaign, which ended up in the dossier.

Behind protests: two Americas, one unemployed, one still getting paid

Behind protests: two Americas, one unemployed, one still getting paid
  • People don’t appreciate being condescended to and bossed around, especially when the leaders ask them for sacrifices without empathy and humility.
"...Others shame them as “virus deniers” and accuse the protesters of wanting people to die.
But it’s hard not to notice a class divide here.
As with so many of America’s conflicts, the divide is between the people in the political/managerial class on the one hand and the people in the working class on the other.
And as usual, the smugness and authoritarianism are pretty much all on one side.
The divide is best summed up in a tweet by Brian Stelter of CNN, and a response.
  • Stelter tweeted: “I crawled in bed and cried for our pre-pandemic lives. Tears that had been waiting a month to escape. I wanted to share because it feels free to do so. Now is not a time for faux-invincibility. Journos are living this, hating this, like everyone else.”
...Some people mocked this as unmanly — and in fact, it’s hard to imagine hearing this from, say, a British journalist during The Blitz — but one response cut deep:
See the source image“Such bravery. Let's all take a moment to think about the journos working from home while millions have lost their jobs.”
Likewise, in Los Angeles — where less than half the county is working now — radio journalist Steve Gregory asked the L.A. County Board of Supervisors whether any of them were willing to take voluntary pay cuts during this crisis.
He was told by the chair that his question was “irresponsible,” which is to say embarrassing and inconvenient.
There really are two Americas here:
  • Those still getting a paycheck from government, corporations or universities, and
  • those who are unemployed, or seeing their small businesses suffer due to shutdowns.
  • And the America still getting paid is, so far, not showing a whole lot of sympathy for the America that isn’t.
...It’s no surprise that a major center of resistance to the shutdown has emerged in Michigan, whose Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has shown all the sensitivity of an angry third-grade teacher in administering a shutdown regime that often makes no sense — banning sales of seeds in stores that are open for other purposes, or allowing sailboating but banning powerboating.
Her response to the protests, a threat to extend shutdowns further, seems calculated to inflame things further..."

"...Some stars not only trashed President Donald Trump in various media outlets, they took their anger out on his voting block, also known as roughly half the country.

  • The host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” took a hard-left turn after Trump’s election, and he said losing a large swath of his audience was a worthy sacrifice.

  • “A Nazi prison guard has been sent back to Germany after years of living in the United States,” Conan O’Brien said. “After a long manhunt, authorities found him hiding at a Trump rally.”
  • “Saturday Night Live” took that a step further, crafting a fake Trump campaign commercial in which supporters donned swastikas and KKK hoods.
More recently, stars began bludgeoning Trump fans with pandemic-related taunts...

Disagree with authority and you are killers!-----University lecturer: White men are COVID-19’s ‘ally’ in helping the virus spread | The College Fix

University lecturer: White men are COVID-19’s ‘ally’ in helping the virus spread | The College Fix
"White males are considered the top-of-the-heap boogymen among contemporary academics, and a college lecturer is adding yet another notch to that, er, distinction.
Writing in the Huffington Post, University of South Wales’ Richard Stokoe claims something dubbed the “White Male Effect” causes that demographic to “disobey warnings in a crisis far more than any other.”See the source image
Stokoe, who teaches about “planning for disasters, civil contingencies and strategic leadership,” links to a 2011 study which asserts white men’s “privileged position” gives them a “low perception of risks.”
...Mr. Stokoe contends white guys have a “greater distrust of officialdom and experts, believe more in their own instincts to be right over anyone else’s and, have a higher tendency to not do what they are told even if it is for their own good or the good of others.”
He adds: They think they’re “invincible and immortal.”
This translates into them “costing lives” by refusing to stay put during the coronavirus pandemic. They’re the virus’s “ally,” so to speak.".
