The University of Pennsylvania launched a task force to address anti-Asian racism.
Some Penn students responded by saying the university doesn't do enough to address racism.
The University of Pennsylvania recently launched a task force to address potential anti-Asian and anti-Asian American racism arising due to the coronavirus.
...UPenn refers to the hashtags #WuhanVirus and #ChinaVirus, which trended on Twitter in mid-March, as justification for the task force.
It also cited an article from the New York Times that criticized President Donald Trump’s continued use of the monikers “Chinese Virus” and “Kung Flu,” further asserting that “inflammatory statements from leaders can exacerbate racist behavior.”...Read all.

Judge orders release of ISIS terrorist who plotted to behead writer, citing ‘concerns’ he might catch coronavirus – LeoHohmann.com "An American Muslim terrorist who plotted to behead anti-Sharia activist Pamela Geller in 2015 has been granted early release from prison by a Boston judge after serving only five years of a 15-year sentence.
The judge was worried that the terror-plotter might contract the COVID-19 coronavirus.
At the time of his trial, Nicholas Rovinski faced a maximum sentence of life in federal prison, but instead was handed the minimum sentence of 15 years.
Now, he has been released after serving only one-third of that 15-year term.
Rovinski was one of three Muslim men who targeted Geller, editor-in-chief of the Geller Report, for a brutal Islamic beheading because they didn’t like her outspoken criticism of Sharia law. Geller writes articles that demonstrate how Sharia is antithetical to U.S. free-speech rights under the First Amendment...Read all.
REPORT: Biden Was Often Left Out Of Obama White House Conversations, Despite ‘Best Friend’ Relationship | The Daily Caller:
“Obama urged Biden not to run for president in 2016 and didn’t think he was tough enough to take on Hillary. He again tried to convince Biden not to run in 2020, and only endorsed Biden after every other candidate had dropped out,” Trump campaign Communications Director Tim Murtuagh told theDC. “Now we’re learning Obama frequently froze Joe Biden out of sensitive conversations and dismissed him as an old and out-of-touch career politician. Obama knew for years what the American people are coming to realize now: Joe Biden is just a shell.”
Byron York: A reality-based look at Trump and the post office "The news is filled with reports of President Trump's "assault" on the U.S. Postal Service.
The president, Democrats and some in the media say, is deliberately slowing mail delivery and crippling the Postal Service so that it cannot handle an anticipated flood of voting by mail in the presidential election.
Former President Barack Obama said Trump is trying to "actively kneecap" the Postal Service to suppress the vote....
Some of the accusations have grown so frantic that they resemble the frenzy of a couple of years ago over the allegation, from many of the same people, that Trump had conspired with Russia to fix the 2016 election. Now, it's the Postal Service.
But what actually is going on?
Here is a brief look at some of the issues involved...Read all!

The Austin City Council voted unanimously Thursday to gut its police budget. The Austin Police Department, which is already about 200 officers below full strength, will have its budget cut by one-third.
...Not only will defunding police get innocent people killed, but the city council doubled down on that: Some of the funds that would have been devoted to law enforcement will be diverted to cover abortion in the city.
The proposal to cut police funding by about one-third of its total $434 million budget calls for immediately cutting around $21.5 million from the department. This would include reallocating these funds to areas like violence prevention, food access, and abortion access programs...
Bryan Preston, who wrote the above post, believes that it’s about money and power. Having relayed the facts about Austin’s financing decisions, he adds:
In crass political terms, the Austin City Council has moved public funds from police, who tend to be conservative, over to abortionists, who tend to pour millions of dollars into Democrat campaigns...

Cuccinelli cited multiple nights where local law enforcement had declared riots as evidence against the idea that ongoing violence is because of the federal government being on the ground. He said these narratives are “myths” and noted that DHS officers are still in Portland “to protect the federal facilities.”
“The law charges us with protecting these facilities,” Cuccinelli explained. “And that is a mission we have successfully fulfilled up to this point. If we hadn’t, we wouldn’t have a courthouse anymore in Portland, not functionally. It’d have been burned down or damaged so badly it that it couldn’t be used.”
Defeat COVID-19 by requiring vaccination for all. It's not un-American, it's patriotic.
Make vaccines free, don't allow religious or personal objections, and create disincentives for those who refuse vaccines shown to be safe and effective.
"To win the war against the novel coronavirus that has killed nearly 163,000 people in this country, the only answer is compulsory vaccination — for all of us.
And while the measures that will be necessary to defeat the coronavirus will seem draconian, even anti-American to some, we believe that there is no alternative. Simply put, getting vaccinated is going to be our patriotic duty...Read all.
