Predatory government! Using the power of the state to silence and intimidate the citizens!

"If you wonder why government no longer seems to work for the little guy, read this.

Maybe it's because government is too busy using its power to harass their political "enemies?
Maybe because, in its current form, our government has morphed from defender of the people into predator upon the people?

OK, here's a classic case of predatory governance by big and little government democrats.
In a nutshell:
  • A republican county commissioner, Zach Lahring, wears a Trump hat to a county board meeting (the hat said "Trump 2020").
  • A local democrat activist complains, demands the STATE intervene with full investigation.
  • State SOS bosses keep case alive for 16 months, finally "decide" the case. But not really "decide". (see below "potential violation")
 The facts:
  • President Trump was, at the time, the President of the United States of America. (Oct 2019)
  • At the time of the hurtful-hat incident, Donald J Trump was not an announced candidate for any political office.
  • To satisfy an activist democrat's complaint, a very long, taxpayer funded "investigation" was commenced.
  • The commissioner was forced to employ, at his own expense, an attorney to defend his wearing of a hat at a public meeting. A hat, bearing the name of the President of the United States.
  • The final determination was..."a potential violation of section 57 has occurred." No fine. No storm troopers invading Zach's home to seize offending hat. The process WAS the EXPENSIVE penalty!
  • An interesting aside: During the 2020 campaign, after organizations had declared their support of Presidential choices, Muskegon county moved to ZOOM meetings. Democrat commissioner, Charles Nash, used this background for many of those official meetings. There was no outcry. No official inquisition.
The real point is not this little incident, it's about big government forcing a "little guy" to pay big money to comply with ever changing speech and elections rules.
Rules that seem to be overwhelmingly intended to suppress conservative speech.
And to send a message to those who would dare to speak in public, "You may win, but it will cost you! And since it's government money, it won't cost us a cent!"

But one Republican senator is offering legislation he says will actually stop violent criminals from getting their hands on firearms.

He indicated that if a private business still wishes to limit its capacity or enforce other virus safety precautions, the business would be free to do so without a government mandate. "It is their business, and they get to choose to operate their business the way they want to," Abbott said. "At this time, however, people and businesses don't need the state telling them how to operate."

Biden admin locks ICE Twitter account used to alert public to fugitive illegal immigrants | American Military News:

"The Biden administration locked one of the Twitter accounts this week for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Tuesday, stopping public safety alerts for fugitive illegal immigrants in the United States.

Former ICE senior advisor Jon Feere tweeted on Tuesday, “It seems the Biden Admin locked [ICE Alerts] because if you were to report the location of one of these dangerous aliens to ICE, it would become too obvious that these assaulters, drug dealers, thieves, and drunk drivers are now allowed to go free under Biden’s policies.”...Read all.

WH Cuts Feed When Biden Says 'Happy to Take Questions ...' - Louder With Crowder

WH Cuts Feed When Biden Says 'Happy to Take Questions ...' - Louder With Crowder

If you don't have confidence in President Biden's abilities, this video won't help. It's one thing to be afraid of hard questions. Our dude is already breaking records by avoiding press conferences long than anyone else. Not that those questions would be hard either, because it would be a PRESS conference. But this is Biden speaking at a virtual event with House Democrats. The topic appears to be the COVID relief bill that critics say barely provides actual relief and bails out Democrat special interests. Surely, we can trust Biden to take questions from DEMOCRATS, right?

How do you Extinguish a Lithium Battery Fire?

How do you Extinguish a Lithium Battery Fire?

"A few weeks ago I asked a fire fighter friend how they extinguish electric vehicle battery fires.
He said “Oh you mean like a Tesla or something? The answer is you can’t. You cordon off the area, and spray a fine mist of water on the fire to try to keep the temperature down until it finishes burning. Takes a few days until it is safe”.
...The fumes from a burning lithium fire are highly toxic, capable of causing death or long term dementia like brain injuries – so you need to keep members of the public at a safe distance.
Fire fighters need to wear respirators if they approach the flame...Read all!

Poll: While Republican Voters Care About Issues, Democratic Voters' Top Concern Is Absolutely Ridiculous

Poll: While Republican Voters Care About Issues, Democratic Voters' Top Concern Is Absolutely Ridiculous
"The priorities of the Democratic Party have always been hard for me to understand, and a recent survey from Echelon Insights once again has me scratching my head wondering how Democrats’ priorities can be so out of wack.
What do you think the Democrats’ number one issue of concern is?
Jobs?
Poverty?
COVID-19?
The environment?
Health care?
Pfft.
You’re not even close.
According to Kristen Soltis Anderson, the cofounder of Echelon Insights, Democrat voters’ number one issue is none of those issues.
Nor is it police brutality or LGBT issues.
In fact, the number one issue for Democrat voters isn’t even a public policy issue at all.
Democrat voters are more concerned about “Donald Trump’s supporters” than anything else.
I kid you not.
According to their survey, a stunning 82 percent of Democratic voters are Extremely/Very Concerned about “Donald Trump’s supporters.”
What does this mean?
What can we assume from this?
The answer is obvious.
Democrats are less concerned about policy issues than they are about people with whom they disagree politically...Read all!

Reporter Charlie LeDuff to sue Michigan Gov. Whitmer over nursing home coronavirus data | Fox News

"The public has a right to know. Above all, the public has a need to know. We shut down the entire economy, we interrupted our children's lives, all in the name of protecting the most vulnerable. We now know this was the institutionalized elderly. If we could not protect them, at the very least we deserve an explanation from Madam Governor," LeDuff told Fox News in an email on Monday. "If there's something more to it than that, let's say gross incompetence or gross negligence or gross press conferences designed to cover the facts, then she needs to answer for it. As I've always said, the power lies with the people, not the political parties," he added. Whitmer has come under fire recently for her handling of nursing homes and other long-term care facilities during the coronavirus pandemic.
