California offers $100 million to aid legal cannabis industry - Los Angeles Times
SACRAMENTO — The California Legislature on Monday approved a $100-million plan to bolster California’s legal marijuana industry, which continues to struggle to compete with the large illicit pot market nearly five years after voters approved sales for recreational use.
Los Angeles will be the biggest beneficiary of the money, which was proposed by Gov. Gavin Newsom to be provided as grants to cities and counties to help cannabis businesses transition from provisional to regular licenses...Read all.

Mother unloads on school board over young children being taught about masturbation, anal sex, transgenderism - TheBlaze

Mother unloads on school board over young children being taught about masturbation, anal sex, transgenderism - TheBlaze
But Swan wasn't finished yet. Before her time expired, she unloaded on the district superintendent, Barry Reilly, for attempting to cut her off and for dismissing her concerns during a previous meeting. Holding up a book purportedly used as a part of sex education curricula in Illinois schools, Swan charged that if the content is too sensitive for discussion at a board meeting then it is surely too sensitive to be taught to young children.

oftwominds-Charles Hugh Smith: The Fed Is Wrong: Inflation Is Sticky

OfTwoMinds-Charles Hugh Smith: The Fed Is Wrong: Inflation Is Sticky
The Fed's god-like powers will be revealed for what they really are: artifice and illusion.
  • "The Fed will be proven catastrophically wrong about inflation for the simple reason that inflation isn't transitory, it's sticky: when prices rise due to real-world scarcities and higher costs, they stay high and then move higher as expectations catch up with reality.
  • Consider the dynamic of Fed-inflated bubbles raising rents. The house that once sold for $200,000 is sold to a pool of investors for $800,000, and the property taxes, insurance and debt service rise accordingly: even though the house didn't change, thanks to the Fed's bubble, the entire cost structure is higher.
  • So what happens next? The investors jack the rent up to cover the higher costs. As for refinancing to lower the monthly mortgage payment--that trend has reached the end of the line. As inflation gathers steam, mortgage rates can only go up, not down.
  • As for getting the county assessment office to lower the valuation on the house--good luck with that. The Ratchet Effect is in full force: assessed values rise easily and decline with great resistance...Read all.

"Appalling to Watch": Australian Media Tears American Media Apart Over Its Fawning Over Biden

"Appalling to Watch": Australian Media Tears American Media Apart Over Its Fawning Over Biden
"American media is so infected with leftism that it’s ideologically slanted to the point of tipping over and it’s highly possible that the media doesn’t even know it.
...The media in other countries can see it, though, and Australia’s, in particular, can’t help but dedicate a segment to it.
On a segment during Sky News’s Kenny on Media, Australian anchors and commentators took aim at the American media for its simpering and fawning over Joe Biden during the G7 summit while the same media bashed President Donald Trump in 2018 against all reason.
...“They drive to give the illusion that he doesn’t have any disputes with any of these international leaders,” said the lead anchor.
...“It’s really quite appalling to watch,” said Elsworth.
“And what happened to straight news reporting which doesn’t seem to be existent there?...

Depositions of election workers in Georgia ballot case delayed | Washington Examiner

Depositions of election workers in Fulton County, Georgia, have been postponed in a lawsuit alleging that thousands of fraudulent ballots might have been cast there. The plaintiffs said they consented to allow the depositions to be rescheduled until after a judge holds a hearing on a motion to dismiss the case, according to a filing submitted to Fulton County Superior Court on Thursday.

New Reports Reveal Democrat Mayor, Not Trump, Teargassed Protesters
  • Flashback: DC Mayor Honored At DNC For Riot Response. New Reports Reveal She, Not Trump, Teargassed Protesters
  • For more than a year, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser allowed President Donald Trump to take the blame for what her police forces had done.
"...Amazingly, new reports confirm it was Bowser — not Trump — who teargassed the protesters a few blocks away from the White House on the evening in question, that the protests had repeatedly devolved into violence and arson, and that the clearing was done for major security concerns and not a photo opportunity.
For more than a year, Bowser allowed Trump to take the blame for what her police forces had done.
In her nationally broadcast speech, Bowser inaccurately called the violent riots — marked by widespread looting, arson of historic buildings, arson of White House buildings, and assaults on scores of police officers — safe and peaceful.
Then she blamed Trump for her own police force’s teargassing of protesters...Read all.

Why are we Americans allowing this hate to destroy our schools?-----Washington State Mandates Critical Race Theory In All Public Schools

Washington State Mandates Critical Race Theory In All Public Schools:
  • While critical race theory training is pitched as a way to ensure 'equity' in the classroom, in truth, it’s far more sinister.
"As several states move to ban toxic critical race theory from indoctrinating students, the state of Washington is leaning in.
The race-obsessed framework isn’t relegated to schools in Seattle, where you’d expect a victim-centered ideology like critical race theory to flourish.
Thanks to the state’s Democrat-controlled legislature, a trio of bills just signed into law mandates critical race theory training for all public school teachers.
Another even requires training for medical students, teaching them it’s as essential to be social justice activists as it is to treat patients.
While the critical race theory mandates go into effect in the 2022-2023 school year, many districts are already jumping on board...Read all.

Evidence Mounts — Chauvin Did Not Murder Floyd

Evidence Mounts — Chauvin Did Not Murder Floyd
  • The strange evolution of the prosecution’s asphyxiation charge.
"...Prosecutors knew they had a problem.
To make the murder charge stick in the Chauvin case, they had to secure an “asphyxia” diagnosis from a physician.
If justice were the goal, prosecutors would have taken two critical steps to assure that the medical testimony supported the charge of murder.
  • The first was to run a controlled experiment to see if Chauvin’s actions could possibly have resulted in the death of George Floyd.
  • The second was to make the court and the defense aware of the potential compromise of its star medical witness, Hennepin County Medical Examiner Dr. Andrew Baker.
Dr. John Dunn did run such an experiment, and he made a video of the same.
...Not content to speculate, Dr. Dunn enlisted the help of two men to determine whether or not the prone restraint used by Chauvin on Floyd could have asphyxiated and killed him
He recruited a 230-pound man to play the role of Floyd and a 170-pound man to play Chauvin’s role.
At the time of the incident, Floyd weighed 223 pounds, and Chauvin, with his gear, weighed about 170...Read all.

Corruption, the Biden family "business"-----Corruption Concerns Mount as Hunter Biden's Artwork to Go on Sale for Up to Half a Million Dollars Per Painting

Corruption Concerns Mount as Hunter Biden's Artwork to Go on Sale for Up to Half a Million Dollars Per Painting
  • Corruption Concerns Mount as Hunter Biden’s Artwork to Go on Sale for Up to Half a Million Dollars Per PaintingHunter Biden
"President Joe Biden’s scandal-plagued son Hunter Biden is reportedly now engaged as a “full-time artist” and is working with Soho art dealer Georges Bergès to hold an exhibition in New York in the coming months, with prices for Hunter’s artwork ranging from $75,000 to $500,000, according to Artnet.
...Schweizer suspects Hunter’s latest venture could potentially be another form of pay-for-play for the Biden family.
...Money laundering in the art world has been identified as an issue, as detailed by a bipartisan Senate investigation last year:
The Senate report details how a pair of Russian oligarchs with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly seized on the secrecy of the art industry to evade sanctions by making more than $18 million
in high-value art purchases.
...The Rotenberg example and many other investigation details highlight the fact that, unlike selling stock or making routine bank transfers,
  • art sales through auction houses are not subject to anti-money laundering provisions in the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • When art is sold, according to the report, sellers are not required to confirm the identity of the buyer nor to make sure the artwork isn’t being used to launder dirty money...Read all.

Net-Zero: the West's Suicide Note | The Pipeline

Net-Zero: the West's Suicide Note | The Pipeline
"In the 1983 U.K. general election, the Labour Party under the amiably leftish leadership of Michael Foot published a manifesto that amounted to a wish-list of extreme socialist policies long sought by the party’s Marxist wing.
It leant so far to the left that one of Foot’s closest colleagues, the late Gerald Kaufman, described it privately (in a bon mot that was soon leaked) as “the longest suicide note in history.”
Not any longer.
The last few weeks have seen two longer suicide notes by two organizations more important than an opposition U.K. party.
  • They are the G7 nations, which Marx might have described as “the executive committee of the global capitalist democracies”—aka the West—

  • and the International Energy Agency which is a specialized committee of the United Nations system and as such the globalist bureaucracy serving all U.N. member-states.
...It is simply unrealistic to expect the world’s politicians to rally support for net-zero emissions by 2050 by telling them there can be
  • no more oil and gas furnaces for sale by 2025,
  • half of air travel will have to cease unless emissions-free fuels are developed,
  • car trips must be replaced with walking and cycling,
  • no permits will be issued to develop new oil and gas fields,
  • and no coal plant will be constructed unless fitted with currently unavailable emission-catching equipment...Read all.
