Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, a Democrat, reinstituted mask mandates last month for the unvaccinated and vaccinated alike.

Donations to fund a border wall being built by the state of Texas have already surpassed $54 million, according to the Texas Governor’s office. In August, the state legislature passed a $1.8 billion bill for efforts to fight illegal immigration, with almost half that amount going toward wall construction, the Examiner reported.

A New York hospital announced that it will be "unable to safely staff" its maternity department and will halt its baby deliveries later this month after 30 staff members quit due to the facility's COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
