Donor backlash devastates Ivy League as Harvard, Columbia seek bailouts | Blaze Media

The Ivy League schools, especially Harvard and Columbia, have exhausted their reputational capital, and now they are exhausting their working capital. They have shown themselves to be morally and ethically bankrupt. If their liquidity problems can’t be rectified, and if donors have permanently slashed their recurring cash lifelines, perhaps financial bankruptcy is also in the offing for Harvard and Columbia. It would be a long time coming.

Says much about the Hollywood crowd, doncha think?

Things Worth Remembering: Ayaan Hirsi Ali and the ‘Strange Death’ of Europe

Thursday’s mob in Amsterdam, which viciously attacked Israeli soccer fans, is a reminder of how little has changed in two decades—and what must be done. - Douglas Murray
Twenty years ago, as the world was focusing on an election in America, something happened in Amsterdam that, in many ways, was even more important.
  • On November 2, 2004, the Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh was murdered in the city center, in the morning, while bicycling to work. His killer, Mohammed Bouyeri, then 26, explained in a note stabbed into van Gogh’s stomach that van Gogh’s film Submission was guilty of “blasphemy”—it criticized Islam’s treatment of women—and he threatened that van Gogh’s colleague Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the Jews, and other nonbelievers would meet a similar end.
  • Van Gogh’s murder came two years after that of gay right-wing politician Pim Fortuyn—shot to death nine days before a general election, which the party he led looked likely to win. His killer, Volkert van der Graaf, said he killed Fortuyn, who had called Islam “backward” and supported ending immigration, as a favor to the Netherlands’ Muslim community.

Heating with electricity is idiotic!-----National energy association warns of higher winter heating bills

Colder weather, bad policies to blame - Jamie A. Hope
Some energy analysts, though, say the crisis has another cause: government policies that are driving up costs.
  • “Prices for home heating this winter on average are estimated to increase by about 10.5% from last year’s winter heating season due to expected colder winter weather in the Northeast and Midwest states from $889 to $982,” the association said in a press release.
  • Families who heat with electricity will see their costs rise from $1,063 to $1,208, a 13.6% increase, the association said. Households heating with propane can expect a 7.3% increase, with costs going from $1,343 last winter to $1,442.

Must read!!-----Curtain Pull: How Trump’s Election Produced a Moment of Unintended Honesty - Jonathan Turley

That curtain pull offered a glimpse of the Great Oz that some will be difficult to unsee.
The meltdown was a moment of honesty for some in revealing the bias harbored by many in the industry.
The philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche once said, “I’m not upset that you lied to me, I’m upset that from now on I can’t believe you.”...
It was not surprising that the sweeping Trump victory last week produced near hysteria among some Harris supporters from women pledging to break up with men to others cutting off their hair to those pledging to flee the country (including one curiously announcing that he was “leaving the United States” for Hawaii)...

Hmmm. See any correlation?

The open door to the revitalization of civic education * WorldNetDaily * by Michael Poliakoff, Jack Miller, Real Clear Wire

Over the last 60 years, there has been unconscionable neglect of civics and American history at both the K-12 and university levels. Surveys by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA) show that fewer than 20% of colleges nationwide require an American history or government course for graduation. Unsurprisingly, this deficit has made its way into the training of teachers too. Future K-12 teachers are unlikely to learn the basic facts about our founding principles and our long history of working toward that more perfect Union our founders envisioned. Fortunately, more and more public universities are doing their part to reverse this trend.

Here Are the Uncalled House Races That Will Determine Control of the Chamber | The Epoch Times
As the last remaining votes are tallied nationwide, several key House races that are yet to be called will decide which party controls the chamber in 2025.
  • As of Saturday evening, The Associated Press still hasn’t called 20 seats in 10 states. The current status has Republicans leading Democrats by 213 seats to 202. A majority is reached at 218 seats.
If the current margins endure once all votes are counted, Republicans could net 11 more seats, for a total of 224. Democrats could add 9 seats, for a total of 211 as the new Congress is sworn in next year.

FEMA official fired for directing hurricane relief away from Trump supporters' homes | Fox News

A Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) official who instructed Hurricane Milton relief workers to skip homes with Trump signs has been fired from her role, a FEMA spokesperson tells Fox News, while Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is investigating the federal agency over the controversy. And you wonder why the GOP has sucked for so long??!!-----Chairs of the Republican National Committee

Chairs of the Republican National Committee

Loser!--Ronna Romney McDaniel - During McDaniel's tenure as chair of the RNC, the Republican Party lost eight gubernatorial elections, four seats in the United States Senate, 20 seats in the House of Representatives, and the presidency. In December 2022, Axios wrote that McDaniel "has thus far failed to preside over a single positive election cycle."[1]

Traitor!--Reince Priebus - According to author Michael Wolff's book Fire and Fury, Priebus referred to Trump as "an idiot".[85]

RINO TRAITOR EXTRAORDINAIRE!--Michael Steele - In 2020, he formally endorsed Joe Biden for the presidency, after previously starring in an advertisement aired by The Lincoln Project.[8][9]

SWAMPER!--Robert Michael DuncanThroughout his career, he has served on the boards of a variety of public- and private-sector organizations.

DEMOCRAT PLANT/TRAITOR!--Ken Mehlman - In 2016, Mehlman was a vocal opponent of Donald Trump's in the primary and general election, and he publicly vowed to vote for Hillary Clinton.[27][28]

Michael Smith - I'm really serious. I'm talking about the clear evidence of mental illness in the Democrat Party.

People are committing self-harm.
The first couple of times it was entertaining, but we have had a couple of decades of this and it is getting progressively worse.
People are committing self-harm.
I'm shocked at how mentally weak some people are.
  • Jim Riley - When EVERYONE you associate with (including your choice of media EXPERTS) assures you that (fill in the blank) has ruined your life and will do worse soon, ya go nuts! Mass hysteria...

We need to recognize Matt Walsh for his role in the 2024 landslide.

For years, many conservatives were terrified to touch the trans issue. - Charlie Kirk @charliekirk11
It was on pace to be socially and politically accepted — a hate crime to even question it.
Matt courageously and effectively set out on a one-man mission to expose the Trans mafia at great personal risk to himself and his family.
His film “What is a Woman?” is a masterpiece.
  • Polling suggests that Kamala's support for radical transgender policies was the single most-important issue for swing voters who picked Donald Trump, narrowly beating out even the economy and the border.
  • "Kamala is for they/them, Trump is for you" deserves to go down as one of the all-time great closing pitches in American history...

Half of migrants in U.S.-bound caravan turn around on learning Trump won * WorldNetDaily * by Jason Hopkins, Daily Caller News Foundation

A migrant caravan heading for the U.S.-Mexico border has shrunk to roughly half its size as members accepted the fact that Trump would be re-taking the reins at the White House, according to a report from Reuters. An official from Mexico's National Migration Institute told the outlet that the caravan dwindled to under 1,600 migrants, a sharp drop from its original size of 3,000 when it embarked on its northward journey on Tuesday in the southern Mexican city of Tapachula.
