Ford Donates Eye-Watering Amount of Cash for Trump's Inauguration Along with Vehicle Fleet

In politics — as in other aspects of life — hefty financial contributions usually come with strings and expectations of quid pro quos.

“While inaugural donations from companies are not new, the flood of cash — coupled with meetings with Trump at his Florida residence — signal a shift among companies looking to curry favor with the president as he prepares to take office,” Politico reported.

'Dogfaced' Furry Aide Helps Democrat Billy Jones Explore House Race

‘Creepshow’ Chief of Staff Who Enjoys Furry Drag Helps Democrat Billy Jones Explore House Bid to Replace Stefanik
A self-described “dogfaced boy/a werewolf” could be the next “creepshow” to trot the halls of Congress.
Update: Since our query about Connie Mandeville’s public conduct, Mandeville’s social media accounts on Meta have disappeared or been set to “private.”
  • Connie Mandeville, chief of staff for New York Assemblyman Billy Jones (D), is a self-described “creepshow” who publicly boasts about dressing in drag as a “dogfaced boy” furry, an often described sexual fetish.
  • Mandeville’s kinky preferences arise as Assemblyman Jones weighs a potential campaign to capture New York congressional district 21, House Conference Chair Elise Stafanik’s (R-NY) district she will likely vacate upon confirmation as President-elect Donald Trump’s ambassador to the United Nations...

Mark Calabria on Mortgages, Interest Rates, and Debt

Critics argue they serve mostly to make the financial system riskier and more statist. - Christian Britschgi
  • Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac distort the housing market, explains Mike Pence's former chief economist.
One such critic is Mark Calabria, the former head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency that has acted as conservator of the GSEs since 2008. In an interview with Reason's Christian Britschgi, he argues that Fannie and Freddie do little to expand homeownership.
What Fannie and Freddie provide is not a homeownership subsidy but a home debt subsidy. And we have seen this repeatedly, whether it's the mortgage introduction, whether it's mortgage credit subsidies—these things work through the demand channel, not the supply channel. To the extent that it is increasing the mortgage market, it's increasing mortgage demand, which if you're not doing anything about supply is only going to run up prices...

A report at CBN News explains that on that Christmas Eve, three astronauts, Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, and Bill Anders, were on NASA's first manned mission to the moon.

CBN reports, "No one, not even the astronauts aboard, was certain that they'd be able to return safely. Their journey, the most hazardous and dangerous ever embarked upon, took them to the boundaries of another world…"

  • The situation reflects an alarming regression of an industry that, in its golden age, positioned Cuba among the leading exporters of sugar worldwide. With only 15 sugar mills operating in the current harvest, the sugar industry faces an uncertain outlook, and citizens continue to bear the consequences of the crisis...

Blaze News original: 12 times leftists have sought to twist, hijack, and stomp on Christmas | Blaze Media

'The default to "Merry Christmas" as a normal greeting is also white supremacy culture at work.'
The Freedom from Religion Foundation recently set up its annual "Winter Solstice" exhibit at the Wisconsin Capitol in opposition to religious displays, which is accompanied by a sign that reads, "At this season of the Winter Solstice, may reason prevail. There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world. Religion is but a myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds."

The Catholic League responded to the display with a billboard in the vicinity of the FFRF's headquarters in Madison that reads, "ATHEISTS STRIKE OUT AT CHRISTMAS. Celebrating Winter Solstice is a Child's Game. This Is Our Season — Not Theirs. Celebrate the Birth of Christ. Merry Christmas."

Hmmm. Interesting thought.

If you are not one of the 65M on Medicare or the 92M on Medicaid consider the question: Why Are Americans Paying So Much More for Healthcare Than They Used To?

The answer is Government regulation and distortion of the market. - Will Larson
  • And as one of the people who actually pay for Healthcare insurance you might have noticed your premiums up again this year.
Also consider, you are only paying about 20% of the premium and your employer is paying 80%!
Now go back and read the top line again and ask why you are paying so much...

But now nuclear power is on the verge of a comeback, with Silicon Valley leading the way...
  • Artificial intelligence (AI) devours electricity. A ChatGPT search requires about 10 times more watt-hours than a traditional Google search. Training GPT-3, a large language model that uses AI to generate text, requires about 1,300 megawatt-hours (MWh)—the same as the annual energy consumption of 130 households.
  • Our grids will need an additional capacity of at least 18 gigawatts (GWs) to service AI's data centers by 2030. New York City's grid is about 6 GW annually, so the grid needs about three Big Apples' worth of capacity to satiate AI's energy needs.
  • Intermittent sources, such as wind and solar, cannot meet that need...

Biden Now Considering Commuting Sentences for 2 Child Murderers, Boston Bomber, Synagogue Shooter, and Congregation Killer: Report

According to a Friday report in The Wall Street Journal, “President Biden is considering commuting the sentences of most, if not all, of the 40 men on the federal government’s death row, people familiar with the matter said, a move that would frustrate President-elect Donald Trump’s ability to resume the rapid pace of executions that marked his first term.”

“During his 2020 campaign, Biden listed abolition of the federal death penalty as a campaign plank, and over his term no executions have been carried out,” the Journal noted.
