Federal prosecutors announced the arrest of a man charged with conspiracy to commit civil disorders after he was allegedly caught on video passing out riot gear to protesters in Los Angeles. Protests against deportation operations from Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents erupted into violence and vandalism that lasted several days, beginning Friday. One widely circulated video showed a man handing face shields from a carton in a truck to protesters.

In July 2024, Deborah White, a federal employee of the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Refugee Resettlement went on record to report, 

“What I discovered was horrifying: children were being trafficked with billions of taxpayer dollars by a contractor failing to vet sponsors and process children safely, with government officials complicit in it.
“Children were sent to addresses that were abandoned houses or nonexistent in some cases,” White said. “In Michigan, a child was sent to an open field, even after we reported making an 911 call after hearing someone screaming for help, yet the child was still sent.”...

Particularly egregious were the Greenhouse Gas Standards and Guidelines for Fossil Fuel-Fired Power Plants, implemented in May 2024, that required new baseload gas-fired plants to control 90% of their carbon dioxide emissions starting in 2032.
The assumption was that this would be through carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) technology. 

• However, since CCS is not currently commercially viable, these rules effectively made the construction of new baseload natural gas generation uneconomic...

Luckily, the 2024 presidential election halted the Biden administration’s disastrous energy policies.

• They argued that it would be "cheaper" to provide unlimited legal fees for immigrants than to detain them. And the Biden administration did redirect that funding.

CAIR and Vera created a spin-off, Acacia, which operates under CAIR's strict control. 

Acacia would go onto receive nearly a billion in taxpayer funding.
