• The collective media response is one of outrage, and of course yet more hysterical exaggeration and lies regarding what the administration is doing.

Due to the Acosta verdict precedent and the nature of judicial activism in Washington DC, Trump has already stated that he expects to lose the lawsuit. 

Presumably since the administration has always strictly honoured rulings that go against it, this would mean a fairly rapid reinstatement of the press passes of the affected journalists and networks and their return to White House press duties.

• So why has Trump and the administration done this?...

but Republicans will blame Republicans and whine about not being inspired to vote because “gas prices are too high!

Yes, gas prices are temporarily high, but that’s a small price to pay for the security of our nation, for our children and our grandchildren. Americans need to stop living only for today, and start thinking about which candidates will make the best decisions for the future of our state and nation...
