The official poverty rate landed at 10.2%, matching the lowest level ever measured — first hit in 2019, during Trump’s own first term.
- Median household income climbed 2.6% to $87,460, 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝, which was also set under Trump.
- Child poverty fell to a historic low of 13.4%, and
- Hispanic poverty hit a record low of 13.9%.
Bessent didn’t stop there.
