NYT Insider Reveals Who Drafted And Sent The Vile Tweet About Kavanaugh

NYT Insider Reveals Who Drafted And Sent The Vile Tweet About Kavanaugh:
"After the New York Times published an excerpt from “The Education of Brett Kavanaugh: An Investigation," a book co-written by Times reporters, Robin Pogrebin and Kate Kelly, a vile tweet was published on the Times' Opinion Twitter feed to promote the piece.
"Having a penis thrust in your face at a drunken dorm party may seem like harmless fun. But when Brett Kavanaugh did it to her, Deborah Ramirez says, it confirmed to her that she didn't belong at Yale in the first place," the now-deleted tweet read.
The Times deleted the tweet once they began receiving flak for what was said.
What are they thinking at the New York Times? 1) It's a discredited allegation. 2) If it had happened, such things are 'harmless fun'?

When the Times' public relations department decided to "clarify" what happened, they apologized for the tweet and said they would investigate.

The new revelations contained in the piece were uncovered during the reporting process for the book, which is why this information did not appear in The Times before the excerpt.
...From Mollie Hemingway at The Federalist (emphasis mine):
The only supposedly new claim made in the book isn’t new and comes from Democrat attorney Max Stier, a Yale classmate of Kavanaugh’s with whom he has a long and contentious history. In the words of the Yale Daily News, they were “pitted” against each other during the Whitewater investigation in the 1990s when Kavanaugh worked for Independent Counsel Ken Starr. Stier defended President Bill Clinton, whose legal troubles began when a woman accused him of exposing himself to her in hotel room she had been brought to. Clinton later settled with the woman for $850,000 and, due to a contempt of court citation for misleading testimony, ended up losing his law license for five years
...To repeat: Several of her friends said she does not recall it.

Bill would allow victims to sue sanctuary cities - Washington Times

See the source imageBill would allow victims to sue sanctuary cities - Washington Times
"Senate Republicans announced new legislation Tuesday that would allow victims of illegal immigrant crimes to sue sanctuary cities for damages.
The bill, sponsored by Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina, would create a private right of action for the victims.
And it would punish states or localities that try to hide behind sovereign immunity by withholding block grant money.
...In one instance the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office released an illegal immigrant charged with trying to strangle a woman in a domestic violence incident.
The bill would for the first time define in law what a sanctuary city is.
...“If politicians want to prioritize reckless sanctuary policies over public safety, they should also be willing to provide just compensation for the victims,” Mr. Tillis said..."

"U.S.—Many on the right have reacted with outrage to The New York Times on its story about Brett Kavanaugh where it basically made up a new charge against him.
This is being looked at as hypocrisy, though, as many of those same people enjoy it when Christian satire site The Babylon Bee makes things up.
...Both The Babylon Bee article and The New York Times article were given the “Labeled Satire” designation by Snopes, proving that The New York Times is no less accurate than The Babylon Bee. Yet many on the right are calling for recriminations from the Times while they are perfectly happy with the Bee.
“Conservatives are stupid. I hate them!” said Vox writer Ian Millhiser, expressing a common sentiment..."

Really I had no idea that prior to this resolution they did not consider themselves a “welcoming community”, some apparently believe they need this resolution to prove it.  Has it been that bad to live in Muskegon County, a County that apparently some on their board believe it was not a “welcoming community”.

Time To Drop An Info-Bomb On The Global Climate Strike | Climate Dispatch
"...It’s very difficult to discuss things or argue with environmentally radical brainwashed children. Especially ones holding signs and placards with cute polar bears on them.
No matter that polar bears are thriving, we won’t make headway with the strikers unless we use pictures too.
...The picture is an amazing chart put together by Dr. Jay Lehr, Senior Policy Analyst for the International Climate Science Coalition.
It shows clearly the insanity of the idea that man-made CO2 could be influencing the climate of the earth since the amount of CO2 is so small relative to the entire atmosphere.

Drop this picture on the climate fraudsters whenever and however you can.
For those in the climate fraud camp, it shows that CO2 in terms of the entire atmosphere is like standing on the seashore with an eyedropper and putting a drop of orange juice in the ocean.

The ocean is our atmosphere and the drop of orange juice being CO2.
Even children holding a polar bear photo can understand the orange juice example and the chart:

What it was like to fly the baddest airplane the world has ever known | Ars Technica

  • “The X-15 was the most demanding airplane I’ve ever flown."

"...The US Air Force and NASA developed the X-15 to better understand flight under extreme conditions, including reentry through the Earth’s atmosphere.
Image result for Engle x-15Yet more than half a century later, the exceptional plane still holds the world record for speed by a piloted, powered aircraft after William Knight flew the vehicle at Mach 6.70 in 1967.
The X-15 program also boasts an exclusive club of pilots—only a dozen aviators can claim to have flown the aircraft, which made 199 flights in total.
(They were all men, given the era.)
Another X-15 pilot, Joe Engle, also went on to a remarkable career at NASA.
Slated to land on the Moon during Apollo 17 alongside Eugene Cernan, Engle got booted from that mission for largely political reasons so that a scientist, Harrison Schmitt, could be added to the final Apollo mission.
Later, Engle would command the second space shuttle mission.
Engle is also the last of the X-15 pilots still alive.
So to mark the 60th anniversary of the X-15’s first powered flight, during which Scott Crossfield took the plane up to 52,000 feet on September 17, 1959, Ars spoke with Engle about flying the baddest airplane the world has ever known.
Spoiler alert: It was thrilling...."

Are We Over-Medicating Children? | Intellectual Takeout

Are We Over-Medicating Children? | Intellectual Takeout
A year or so ago, my sister was tasked to look after two children in a classroom/tutorial type of setting.
After ignoring repeated instructions to sit down and perform the task at hand, the child on my sister’s right grinned mischievously and said, “I can’t. I didn’t have my medication today.”
The child on her left, however, rolled her eyes and muttered, “Well, I didn’t have my medication today, either, and I can still control myself.”
Such a scenario makes one wonder: is our society becoming too dependent on medicating today’s children?
Is it sometimes easier to thrust a pill into their mouths rather than put up with their energy or train them to restrain themselves at the appropriate times?...

Ms Packwood said: “It didn't go brilliantly well. We tried and we failed to launch a non-fried product..."

Will it be WAR?-----Everything You Need To Know About The Attacks On Saudi Arabia's Oil Facilities (Updated) - The Drive

Everything You Need To Know About The Attacks On Saudi Arabia's Oil Facilities (Updated) - The Drive:
  • The U.S. has disputed Yemeni rebels' claims that they were responsible, while the Saudis also say the strikes originated outside Yemen.
"Two days after major attacks on two oil industry sites in Saudi Arabia, significant questions remain about who was actually responsible and how they prosecuted the strikes.
Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen have taken credit for the operation, which caused extensive damage to the world's largest oil processing facility and led to a partial shutdown that has immediately resulted in a five percent cut in global oil production.
The United States has disputed this, accusing Iran of being directly involved and saying the strikes did not appear to have originated on Yemeni territory.
President Donald Trump has pledged to help the Saudis defend themselves, but has also said that he's in "no rush" to respond to the incidents..."

"On Sept. 11, a Kenyan lawmaker put forth a plan to end what she considers a big problem — mile-high flatulence.
Range Constituency representative Dr. Lilian Gogo of Nairobi called for resolution to people passing gas in airplane cabins during a parliamentary debate Wednesday regarding the National Assembly Committee on Transport, Public Works and Housing, according to Nairobi News.
“There is one irritant that is often ignored, and this is the level of farting within the aircraft," Gogo said.
“There are passengers who literary irritate fellow passengers by passing bad smell and uncomfortable fart. If there is anyone given irritant that makes people fight on board, it is the fart, it is terrible within the plane.”...
