Whom to Believe: Big Brother or Your Lying Eyes? | The Pipeline
"... Among the minority who deal in facts is Mark Mills, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute. If you haven’t already, it is well worth while keying in to his presentation on February 9, 2021 to the U.S. House Energy Subcommittee on Environment and Climate Change. Here’s just a taste:
- Building a single 100-MW wind farm requires some 30,000 tons of iron ore and 50,000 tons of concrete, as well as 900 tons of nonrecyclable plastics for the huge blades.
- A storage system to back-up such a wind farm would require using at least 10,000 tons of Tesla-class batteries.
- The tonnage in cement, steel, and glass is 150% greater for solar than for wind, for the same energy output.
- Under the scenarios for clean energy imagined by the World Bank, the 700 tons of neodymium currently mined would need to increase by between 1,000 and 4,000 percent. Indium by as much as 8000%. Cobalt by 300 to 800%. Lithium by more than 2,000%.
- The Institute for Sustainable Futures at the University of Technology Sydney, concluded last year that the supply of elements such as nickel, dysprosium, and tellurium will need to increase by 200 to 600%.
As Mills explains, while the minerals required are there, digging them up will be daunting and pricey. Count among the costs: environmental degradation; increased threats to the West’s national security in view of China’s dominance in many of the supply chains; the use of child labour in countries not so sensitive to human rights; the massive amounts of energy required to mine, transport and process these exotic minerals; and, the bottom line, the demise of reliable and affordable hydrocarbon power...Read all.

REvil, the group blamed for the May 30 ransomware attack of meatpacking giant JBS SA, is believed to be behind hacks on at least 20 managed-service providers, which provide IT services to small- and medium-sized businesses.
...Biden said he had ordered a “deep dive” by U.S. intelligence officials on what happened in the attacks.

The long knives are out!-----Kamala Harris Facing White House Sabotage as Establishment Media Lay Out Pete Buttigieg’s Path to Presidency
- Vice President Kamala Harris is facing White House sabotage as the establishment media lay out Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg’s path to the presidency.
“It’s a whisper campaign designed to sabotage her,” Biden’s senior adviser Cedric Richmond said, admitting Friday to the Hill the infighting is real.
Axios reported Friday Harris’s aides are panicked that she is “fucking up” and perhaps “shouldn’t be the heir apparent” for 2024’s presidential race because she “could not defeat whomever the Republican Party puts up.”...Read all.

Dead last!-----U.S. Has Lowest Trust of Media In 46 Countries Surveyed, According to Reuters Institute Report
As a collective industry, our mainstream corporate predominantly liberal and leftist media is manipulative, arrogant, elitist, demeaning, smug, and manipulative (but I repeat myself).
It’s no surprise that a just-released Report by the Reuters Institute and the University of Oxford finds US ranks last among 46 countries in trust in media:
The United States ranks last in media trust — at 29% — among 92,000 news consumers surveyed in 46 countries, a report released Wednesday found. That’s worse than Poland, worse than the Philippines, worse than Peru. (Finland leads at 65%.)...Read all!

"A retired Army colonel with combat tours in Afghanistan (and Iraq) told me that this is going to be an "epic catastrophe."

Never trust the "american" media. NEVER!-----Are We Nazi Germany? - American Thinker
"I've noticed that whenever the subject of Nazi Germany is raised, someone always says something like this: "It's unbelievable that Adolf Hitler was able to manipulate and control the entire German population. It just seems impossible." Yet that's exactly what he did.
...Like a lot of Americans, I always assumed that America was safe from the kind of tyranny the German people experienced under the heavy hand of the Third Reich.
Yet, for the past eighteen months, that's exactly what has happened in America.

A nation that always prided itself on its independence and individuality was suddenly locked down.
- Travel was restricted,
- schools and businesses were shuttered,
- we were commanded to wear face masks,
- voting laws were altered,
- isolation and quarantines were mandated, and
- speech was censored by social and mainstream media if Big Tech oligarchs judged what was said or written as "misinformation."
- A public health emergency was declared,
- borders were closed, and
- large gatherings were forbidden — including church attendance, funerals, and weddings.
