New Study Says Kids Unaware Bacon Is Meat and French Fries Are Plants | Food & Wine

• Over 40% of Children Think Bacon Comes from Plants and French Fries Are Some Kind of Meat, According to a New Study
• That childhood naivety could be an opportunity to fight climate change, the paper suggests.

"...All animal-based foods — with the sole exception of milk — were sorted incorrectly by at least 30 percent of children," the paper states. 

"With respect to meats, the percent of children claiming that hamburgers, hot dogs, and bacon come from plants ranged from 36 percent to 41 percent.
