Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten told ABC News his office simply relied on Cornell's own campus police and did not 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘦 the allegations, calling it standard practice for upstate New York counties.
