Report: Networks Ignore New IRS Documents

Report: Networks Ignore New IRS Documents | Truth Revolt:

The release of emails that show “extensive pressure on the IRS by Senator Carl Levin (D-MI) to shut down conservative leaning organizations,” didn't warrant any mention on the major network morning shows, according to a report by the Media Research Center.
Wednesday, government watchdog group Judicial Watch released emails that showed "officials in the IRS headquarters were responsible for the illegal delays of Tea Party applications,” according to Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton. The documents released by Judicial Watch Wednesday include a letter to IRS officials from Sen. Levin in which he "singles out" 12 groups he'd like to see investigated for "political activity." The documents also indicate that IRS attention toward conservative groups originated from its DC office, rather than the Cincinnati branch.
None of that was interesting enough for the network morning shows, though. Instead, as MRC notes, they devoted significant time to another political story:
While the networks refused to cover the new revelations in the IRS scandal they did devote a total of 11 minutes (ABC: 4 minutes,19 seconds; CBS: 4 minutes, 19 seconds; NBC: 4 minutes, 8 seconds) to defending Hillary Clinton from Republican attacks on their Wednesday evening and Thursday morning shows.

The Cost of Regulations

The Cost of Regulations | MyGovCost | Government Cost Calculator:
Mark Tapscott describes how one economist calculated the cost of regulations on American household consumers:
Wayne Crews of the Competitive Enterprise Institute provides a definitive answer to that question today with publication of the latest edition of his annual compilation, “10,000 Commandments: An annual snapshot of the federal regulatory state.”
Crews estimates the annual cost of compliance with the record number of new federal rules and regulations issued under President Obama at $1.863 trillion.
That works out to a $14,974 “hidden tax” every year for the average U.S. household. That’s 23 percent of the $65,596 annual average household income in America.

Here Are The Top 10 Questions To Ask A Liberal

Read 'em all and ask your lib friends!
Here Are The Top 10 Questions To Ask A Liberal | The Federalist Papers:
Brian Anderson over at Downtrend has ten questions that liberals can’t answer, and they are awesome.  Liberal policies are filled with contradictions and hypocrisy all over the place.
10. How many people should we let into this country? Liberals want amnesty for the 11-20 million illegal aliens currently living in America. Let’s say that happens, then what? Do we grant amnesty to the next 20 million illegals that come looking for a better life? There are over 7 billion people on the planet, most of which would certainly have a better life if they moved to the US. I’ll ask again: how many of these people should we let immigrate to our country?
9. How are rules that apply equally to everyone discriminatory and racist? Liberals say that everything from the justice system to education is racist. They whine that voting laws that apply to everyone equally are somehow discriminatory. Why? I have no idea. If everyone is playing by the same rules there is no disputing that the playing field is level.

New Emails Reveal Further Democrat Collusion in Obama IRS Targeting of Tea Party

New Emails Reveal Further Democrat Collusion in Obama IRS Targeting of Tea Party:

"Democrat Elijah Cummings was proven to have been in collusion with the IRS in the scandal of the agency targeting, harassing, and intimidating the Tea Party and other conservative groups. According to new emails obtained by Judicial Watch, Democrat involvement in the IRS scandal runs even deeper than once thought. The new emails also prove that the claim made by Barack Obama that the IRS scandal was a ‘phony’ scandal and just the work of a few ‘rogue agents’ in Cincinnati is a flat out lie.

Democrat Senator Carl Levin (Michigan) applied unusual pressure to the IRS to target any Tea Party and conservative groups in order to shut them down. After the Republican wave of 2010 in which the GOP regained control of the House, it looks like Levin wanted to make sure the Democrats didn’t experience even worse defeat in the 2012 election. After all, the Democrats were not only trying to maintain control of the House, but Barack Obama’s second term as president was at stake. "

Orr to state lawmakers: 'We need your money'

Orr to state lawmakers: 'We need your money' | Crain's Detroit Business:
"Detroit Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr was in Lansing for the third straight week today, this time to testify before the new House committee debating sending financial aid to the city.
He came bearing a blunt message.
“We need your money,” Orr told the lawmakers.
Orr spoke before the Detroit’s Recovery and Michigan’s Future Committee, and reviewed the city’s plan of adjustment, which he said puts Detroit on an ambitious schedule that could result in the city exiting bankruptcy this summer or fall.
........The bills would send the city $194.8 million from the state’s Rainy Day Fund, as well as provide 20-year oversight of financial operations."

Matt Walsh’s “homophobic rant against Michael Sam” is absolutely brilliant

Matt Walsh’s “homophobic rant against Michael Sam” is absolutely brilliant | Young Conservatives:
Matt Walsh weighed in on Michael Sam, and as usual, he is spot on.  He starts off by noting that “if you do anything less than fall to your knees weeping tears of jubilation that a man who is sexually attracted to men was picked to play a game for a living — you’re a homophobe.”  He’s absolutely right.
He then outlined why he isn’t celebrating Michael Sam, and knows that the Left will immediately call him a homophobe and bigot, when of course, that couldn’t be further from the truth:
I’m not celebrating Michael Sam, I don’t think anything historic occurred at any point during the NFL Draft (besides the fact that the Raiders actually made a few good decisions), I find this spectacle to be rather embarrassing, I question the motivations of everyone involved, including Michael Sam, and I’ll give you several reasons why:
1) You don’t get to have it both ways. You can tell me that your sexuality is nobody’s business — what you do in your bedroom is between you and whoever you do it with — and I’ll agree. I’ve never taken it upon myself to approach a group of strangers and survey them about their carnal propensities. In my life, I’ve probably had thousands of conversations with thousands of different people. Of those thousands, I can safely say that not once have I begun the exchange by saying, “Hello, my name is Matt. Do you sleep with people of the same gender?”

Afghan Pedophilia: A way of life, say U.S. soldiers and journalists - National Law Enforcement | Examiner.com:
"Apologists say that Bacha Bazi or 'Boy Play' is a very old cultural practice in Afghanistan and part of that nation's mainstream.
Citing the Afghanistan strategy review, Vice President Joe Biden reported "great progress" in the counterterrorism effort that has significantly degraded al-Qaeda and the Taliban, particularly their leadership. Lagging behind, he said, is progress on the counterinsurgency front – eliminating terrorist safe havens in Pakistan and building a stable Afghan government.
However, not once did Biden – nor Defense Secretary Leon Panetta -- mention Afghanistan's dirty secret – a large number of pedophiles and pederasts among the Afghan male population."

Nevada School to Dad: Pay $10K to See Data Tracking on Kids | TheBlaze.com:
"When a Nevada father of four tried to get the state education board to turn over years of data collected on his children, he was told it would cost thousands of dollars.
A whopping $10,914 to be exact.
John Eppolito, a former math teacher turned education advocate, is concerned about the data gathered on his children and whether it is accurate. He doesn’t think Nevada — or other states — should collect educational data on students without prior parental consent."

South Bend Women gun up in wake of homicide uptick (VIDEO)
With an uptick in the number of homicides (seven) so far this year, women in South Bend, Indiana, are reportedly flocking to gun stores to gun up against the criminal element, according to local affiliateWSBT 22.
One business owner is catering specifically to this growing market segment of the gun community.
Rebecca Bartol, owner of Femme Fatale, a gun shop in South Bend, sells firearms and accessories that are geared toward women.
Bartol told the news station that she has noticed many first-time customers walking through her doors asking about guns and concealed carry for self-defense.
“We do have quite a few women who come in and are [saying], ‘I don’t have a firearm and I don’t know where to start,’” Bartol said.

DC Schools: $29,349 Per Pupil, 83% Not Proficient in Reading

DC Schools: $29,349 Per Pupil, 83% Not Proficient in Reading | CNS News:
The public schools in Washington, D.C., spent $29,349 per pupil in the 2010-2011 school year, according to the latest data from National Center for Education Statistics, but in 2013 fully 83 percent of the eighth graders in these schools were not "proficient" in reading and 81 percent were not "proficient" in math.

These are the government schools in our nation's capital city — where for decades politicians of both parties have obstreperously pushed for more federal involvement in education and more federal spending on education.

"Silly me, I thought free speech was legal in America. I thought this was a Republic with a Constitution guaranteeing our right to express ourselves? I didn’t know speaking your mind, or expressing your opinions could result in the end of your career, or the confiscation of your property.
Don’t look now but it’s happening – if you’re a conservative.
It’s time to start getting nervous about expressing your views publicly - if you’re a conservative.
It’s time to worry about bans and witch hunts - if you’re a conservative.

What’s next? Reeducation camps, where our fellow citizens are taken away to be brain-washed into changing their views or attitude? Don’t laugh – it’s already happening"

ICE Ordered to Stay Silent on Release of 36,000 Criminal Illegal Immigrants

ICE Ordered to Stay Silent on Release of 36,000 Criminal Illegal Immigrants:
Breitbart Texas recently reported on the release of 36,000 convicted criminal illegal immigrants, including almost 200 murderers, who were released back into the U.S. by immigration officials in 2013.

The figures were outlined in a report by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS).
Breitbart Texas subsequently reached out to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) offices around the country, in an attempt to learn more about release policies.
Each ICE representative that Breitbart Texas came in contact with was familiar with the CIS report, but would not comment on it.

They additionally refused to answer general questions regarding detention and release policies.
"We were given specific instructions not to comment on that report," said Greg Palmore, a Texas-based ICE spokesman, during a phone interview with Breitbart Texas.
Rather than comment, they all provided the same press release that was apparently drawn up by a press secretary in Washington, D.C.
