"Touted as “America’s first offshore wind project,” Cape Wind became one of America’s most high-profile and most controversial wind-energy projects.
Fourteen years in the making, estimated at $2.6 billion for 130 turbines, covering 25 square miles in Nantucket Sound off the coast of Massachusetts, the Cape Wind project has yet to install one turbine—let alone produce any electricity. 
Now, it may be “dead in the water.”
On January 6, the two power companies, National Grid and Northeast Utilities, that had agreed to purchase most of the electricity Cape Wind was to generate, terminated their contracts with the developers due to missed milestones.
Under the terms of the contracts, Cape Wind had to secure financing and give notices to proceed to its suppliers to start work by December 31, 2014.
Neither happened and both companies filed to cancel power purchase agreements.
“The project is in cardiac arrest,” according to Amy Grace, a wind-industry analyst with Bloomberg New Energy Finance."

Bringing canned food to a gun fight seems like an idea created by a liberal, but Holley said it is part of the school’s new ALICE method — alert, lockdown, inform, counter, and evacuate — that is supposed to teach students what to do during a shooting.
The misguided thought behind the plan is that “arming” kids with canned food gives them a sense of empowerment — with peas?..."

General Douglas MacArthur famously observed that “old soldiers never die, they simply fade away;” a proposition that Eisenhower “an old soldier” disproved shortly after by being elected to two terms as president of the United States.
For years realists in the global warming debate have been waiting for the global warming hype to do one or the other, either die or simply fade away but neither eventuality has yet occurred.

Climate change is the mythical postal service of the sciences, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.” Their appointed rounds being to deliver modern society back to a new dark ages where reason is held hostage to political and ideological agendas and human progress is interpreted as returning us to wind mills and draconian servitude to nonsensical science and economic policies.

Reality should have killed this drunken stumbling beast long ago but it is a sign of the age we live in, or perhaps the age in which we have always lived; that control of certain institutions allows driven people to control, if nothing else, the popular narrative. Reality killed the global warming narrative long ago but the anthropocentric nature of modern culture won’t let it die. It is not just that the climate change cult has infused itself into all aspects of  society; it is that society’s tolerance of political correctness stifles reasonable discussion on the issue.

The false “climate change” narrative continues to control political agendas simply because so many accept what they know to be false or at least corrupted because it either benefits “their side” in the wider political debate or they fear the political correct Gestapo.

A perfect example of this is Al Gore, who rode political defeat to stardom on the green chariot of modern progressivism. Over the years Gore’s advocacy of a false and fraudulent science has allowed him to ignobly achieve many noble accomplishments and accumulate riches beyond that of  even the dreaded one percenters.world....
