Self-Evident

By Tammy Derouin

This past week, our ally, Benjamin Netanyahu, won re-election.  Israel can proudly state they have a true leader, a man of character with a moral compass.  They have re-elected a leader who will actually stand and defend Israel and the Israeli people.  Netanyahu will not bow to the enemy.

What does our leader do?  Our executive states he doesn’t want to appear to take sides so close to an election.  When Netanyahu spoke before the U.S. Congress, warning of the dangers of Iran, our executive and many of his minions refuse to attend.  However, the executive, who doesn’t want to take sides, apparently tried to undermine the election. Evidence has been surfacing that our executive tried to unseat Netanyahu.  This would have destabilized Israel.

This past week, not only did our executive sulk, because he didn’t get the results he wanted when Netanyahu won re-election, he sent a video message to the Iranian people, bad mouthing Americans. He has not only turned his back on Israel; he has turned his back on America.

The executive funds and congratulates our enemies.  The leaders of Egypt, Turkey, Russia and Iran all received congratulatory phone calls after their victories.  Israel receives betrayal but, so do the American people.  Does anyone really believe the executive wants Israel or the United States to survive?  Actions speak louder than words. This is beyond a petty phone call; this is an issue of loyalty.  The proof is self-evident.

Senate clobbers Obama’s $4 trillion budget plan in 1-98 vote — Here’s the one guy who voted ‘yes’ | TheBlaze.com:

"The Senate on Tuesday destroyed any lingering hope President Barack Obama might have had for passing his budget plan through Congress this year, by voting down Obama’s plan 1-98.

The only senator to vote for the plan was Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.)."

Yes, billions die because of radical environists and their political cronies-----Radical Environmentalism’s Death Campaigns

Radical Environmentalism’s Death Campaigns | Somewhat Reasonable:
The terms racism, white supremacy, crimes against humanity are bandied about so often that they have become almost meaningless.
But they are absolutely appropriate in an arena where they are too rarely applied: radical environmentalism’s campaigns that perpetuate poverty, disease and death, by denying Earth’s most impoverished and powerless people access to modern life-saving technologies.
Imagine activist groups preventing you from having your child vaccinated against polio or hepatitis, or from starting her on chemotherapy for leukemia – because they are “concerned” about “possible side-effects” and the “ethics” of permitting such “risky” procedures.
Absurd! you say.
Outrageous!
Of course it is.
But that is what radical environmentalists are doing to Third World countries.
By denying people access to abundant, reliable, affordable electricity, modern fertilizers and biotech seeds, and especially DDT to prevent malaria and other insect-borne diseases, they are killing millions every year.
Many of my articles have documented this.
Now a new film written, self-financed and produced by Dr. D. Rutledge Taylor, MD graphically presents powerful new evidence of how the Audubon Society, Sierra Club, other predominantly white environmentalist pressure groups and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency conspired to hide and discredit scientific evidence, and wage a campaign of disinformation and outright lies, to ban the most effective weapon yet devised to prevent malaria and other vicious diseases.
3 Billion and Counting: The death toll is mounting shows how DDT was invented on the eve of World War II and became a secret weapon that kept Allied soldiers on the battlefield, instead of in hospitals or graves.
After the war, it was sprayed on millions of Europeans to prevent typhus.
It then eradicated malaria in Europe, the United States and other developed nations.
No one ever got sick from DDT.
Available on demand and through Amazon.com, You Tube, Google Play, iTunes and elsewhere, the film chronicles how Rachel Carson’s wildly inaccurate book Silent Spring helped persuade the Audubon Society to launch the Environmental Defense Fund for the sole purpose of demanding a DDT ban...

Costs a bunch. Doesn't work. Let's buy it!!!---Recommended gunshot sensor has iffy accuracy

Recommended gunshot sensor has iffy accuracy | WOODTV.com:
"GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — One of the recommendations from a task force aiming to make Grand Rapids safer would come with a hefty price tag and is not working well in some other cities.
The task force presented 50 recommendations in its SAFE report to the city on Tuesday.
Among them was a suggestion to install devices that are supposed to detect the sound of gunshots in neighborhoods.
They’re called ShotSpotters.
They’re supposed to sense when shots are fired and alert police, speeding up response times.
Installing the ShotSpotters would cost the city $45,000 per square mile, according to task force chair and Third Ward City Commissioner Senita Lenear.
...In one report from Connecticut, police records from 2012 showed that out of 60 ShotSpotter alerts, only six were confirmed gunfire.
That’s an accuracy rate of only 10 percent.
A police memo from the next year showed 8 percent accuracy.
...“I think it’s money well spent,” Grand Rapids Police Department Chief David Rahinsky said.
He favors implementing the system.
He was also not aware of any problems with ShotSpotters until 24 Hour News 8 brought them to him, but they didn’t change his mind..."

It's the culture, stupid----Witnesses testify in McDonald’s drive-thru shooting trial

Witnesses testify in McDonald’s drive-thru shooting trial | WOODTV.com:

"GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Witnesses testified Tuesday in the trial of a woman accused of opening fire on a McDonald’s drive-thru window because her burger didn’t have bacon on it.
..Three witnesses testified, including the person who was driving the car Torres was in at the time of the shooting.
In February 2014, Torres went to the drive-thru of the McDonald’s on 28th Street near Madison Avenue in Grand Rapids.
According to police, the workers got her order wrong, leaving the bacon off her burger, so she went back early the next day with the promise of a free meal.
Again, police said, they didn’t give her bacon on her cheeseburger.
Nydia Ray was driving the car Torres was in and testified in court Tuesday that they returned the incorrect order through the drive-thru window.
“I gave the lady the food bag.
She walked off.
I rolled up my window because it was cold.
I kind of glanced and seen the gun,” she recalled.
“I think I said, ‘What the f*** are you doing? What the f***?’
In the middle of that, the gun went off.”"

A profession of shame----MSM Reporters Give Hillary Clinton Standing Ovation after She Takes No Questions, Jokes about Email Scandal

Reports: MSM Reporters Give Hillary Clinton Standing Ovation after She Takes No Questions, Jokes about Email Scandal - Breitbart:
"On Monday evening, mainstream media reporters reportedly gave Hillary Clinton a standing ovation after she joked about her private email scandal and took no questions from the press–at an event honoring excellence in journalism.
According to a National Journal report, Clinton took no questions after her 20-minute speech in Washington, D.C., which prompted the Washington Post‘s Dan Balz, who won this year’s Robin Toner award for excellence in political reporting, to reportedly make Clinton an offer: “I am happy to yield my time back to you if you want to take some questions.” Time reported that “Clinton received a standing ovation” anyway “from the journalist-heavy crowd.”
...After claiming her “relationship with the press has been at times, shall we say, complicated,” Clinton, according to CBS News, “challenged the journalists in the room to be thorough and measured.
“We need more than ever smart, fair-minded journalists to challenge our assumptions, push us towards new solutions, and hold all of us accountable,” she reportedly told mainstream media reporters who notoriously protect Democrats like Clinton."

A world of wimps---Trigger Warning: Jazz Hands

Trigger Warning: Jazz Hands - Hit & Run : Reason.com
Jazz hands—the sight, the words, the very concept—have been known to trigger spontaneous fits of laughter in my world.
Hence the warning in this headline.
But jazz hands are actually the "safer" option, according to folks at a U.K. student conference.
In a tweet sent out earlier today, the National Union of Students (NUS) Women's Campaign requested that attendees please express approval with jazz hands rather than clapping. The original request apparently came from Oxford University representatives.
"Now I've been in meeting or conference settings where clapping was deemed too disruptive to the flow of discussion. Using jazz hands instead of clapping is not a rare or especially ridiculous proposition. But the reason given here—claps are too anxiety-provokingis a new one for me..."

Is NYC’s new gunshot detection system recording private conversations?

Is NYC’s new gunshot detection system recording private conversations? | Fusion
As Tyrone Lyles lay dying from a gunshot wound on an East Oakland street in 2007, he let out a few last words that would ultimately help authorities convict his killer.
“Why you done me like that, Ar?” he pleaded. “Ar, why you do me like that, dude?”
The exchange, which was used in court, was recorded by ShotSpotter, a gunshot detection system that has been installed in over 90 cities across the country.
By placing a series of microphones around high-crime neighborhoods, the system is able to pinpoint the location of where a gunshot took place with surprising accuracy, leading to faster response times from police.
This week, 300 of the microphones were activated in Brooklyn and the Bronx as part of a citywide pilot program.
“Today, we are rolling out cutting edge technology to make the city safer, to make our neighborhoods safer, to keep our officers safer,” NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio said in an appearance with police commissioner William J. Bratton to announce the initiative. “This gunshot detection system is going to do a world of good in terms of going after the bad guys.”
But cases in which microphones have picked up incriminating evidence have raised the eyebrows of privacy advocates, who note that there could be Fourth Amendment implications.
We are always concerned about secondary uses of technology that is sold to us for some unobjectionable purpose and is then used for other purposes,” Jay Stanley, a senior policy analyst at the American Civil Liberties Union’s Speech, Privacy and Technology Project, told Take Part. “If [ShotSpotter] is recording voices out in public, it needs to be shut down.”

Administration sets record for withholding government files

Administration sets record for withholding government files:

"Anyone who seeks information through the law is generally supposed to get it unless disclosure would hurt national security, violate personal privacy or expose business secrets or confidential decision-making in certain areas. It cited such exceptions a record 554,969 times last year.

Under the president's instructions, the U.S. should not withhold or censor government files merely because they might be embarrassing, but federal employees last year regularly misapplied the law. In emails that AP obtained from the National Archives and Records Administration about who pays for Michelle Obama's expensive dresses, the agency blacked-out a sentence under part of the law intended to shield personal, private information, such as Social Security numbers, phone numbers or home addresses. But it failed to censor the same passage on a subsequent page.

The sentence: "We live in constant fear of upsetting the WH (White House)."

If true, we're doing everything WRONG now-----Setting The Record Straight: Solar Activity Controls Global Climate, Man Made Climate Change Is A Myth

Setting The Record Straight: Solar Activity Controls Global Climate, Man Made Climate Change Is A Myth:
Solar Activity Controls Global Climate, Man Made Climate Change Is A Myth
Recent studies have shown results linking shifts in sunspot
frequency and climate changes over thousands of years suggest that the past 18-year-long period of flat global temperatures appear to be a prelude to a much longer cooling cycle.

While causes behind these magnetic inconsistencies are uncertain, observable connections between solar and Earth climate patterns are clear.
Reduced periods of sunspot activity correlate with cooler and very cold periods, with higher incidences producing opposite effects.

If a leading theory regarding why this occurs is correct, a weaker magnetic heliosphere surrounding our Solar System evidenced by low sunspot activity permits more cosmic rays from deep space to enter Earth’s protective magnetosphere and atmosphere...

Since none of this has anything to do with human-caused atmospheric CO2 emissions, you can bet that the UN and its Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change are very cool on the theory and its chilling political science implications...

Guns save lives---Passerby With Concealed Carry Permit Stops Slaughter In Philly

Bearing Arms-Passerby With Concealed Carry Permit Stops Slaughter In Philly - Bearing Arms:
...Such was the case in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania yesterday, when a man with a concealed carry permit heard gun shots as he passed by a barbershop, ran in, and stopped a massacre in the making by shooting a man who had opened fire on employees and customers:
Police say a man likely saved the lives of several people when he shot and killed a gunman inside a West Philadelphia barbershop.
A 40-year-old man was inside Falah Barber Shop Inc. on the 600 block of Preston Street shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday when police say he began fighting with another person inside.
“They were arguing,” said 16-year-old Yusaf Mack who was a customer inside the shop at the time. “They were taking it too far and one of the barbers said, ‘chill out.'”
The fight quickly escalated and the 40-year-old man took out his gun and opened fire on customers and barbers, police said.
“I heard gunshots so I ducked and I ran,” said Mack.
As he was shooting, another man outside heard the gunfire, ran into the shop and took out his own gun, according to investigators. He then opened fire, striking the 40-year-old man once in the chest.
The man who had started shooting at customers and staff in the barbershop was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries.

Liberal racism-----NPR’S TED CRUZ RACISM: “First time I ever heard NPR use the term ‘White Hispanic’ ...

POPEHAT ON NPR’S TED CRUZ RACISM: “First time I ever heard NPR use the term ‘White Hispanic’ was Ge…:
"The “White Hispanic” thing is a case of dog-whistle othering, telling people that the target is outside the protection of the Democrats’ racial coalition and thus can be freely attacked.

By engaging in such signalling, NPR is also signalling that it’s a full-blown part of the Democratic Party apparat, though that’s not really news. . . ."

Update: "NO. NEXT QUESTION? Would the Media Allow ‘Cruz Crushing’ if He Were a Hispanic Democrat?
The whole point of the “White Hispanic” designation, and the Canada-talk, is to make clear to the appropriate Dem constituencies that they can say whatever they want about him without fear of being called racist. It’s a species of excommunication."
