Remember the Seattle CEO Who Raised All Salaries to $70K, Here's What Happened Next...

Remember the Seattle CEO Who Raised All Salaries to $70K, Here's What Happened Next...:

"Back in April we told you about Dan Price, CEO of Gravity Payments, who said he would pay every single one of his employees $70,000 annually.

Every single one, from the lowest skilled workers on up.

Now, as expected, Price has fallen on hard times financially, even having to rent out his own home.

Employees who work for Gravity are now leaving the company, “spurred in part by their view that it was unfair to double the pay of some new hires while the longest-serving staff members got small or no raises.”

This was always going to be the outcome.
If everyone hits the jackpot, does anybody really win the lottery?"

Absolute must see movie trailer-----'13 Hours' Has Been Released, And It Looks Amazing [VIDEO]

'13 Hours' Has Been Released, And It Looks Amazing [VIDEO] | The Daily Caller:

The film, which is scheduled to be released on January 16, the beginning of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend, offers a minute-by-minute look at the actions of six American security operators who defied orders and attempted to thwart the Sept. 11, 2012, attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.
The attack left four Americans dead, including U.S. ambassador Chris Stevens, U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith, and Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, two CIA contractors."

Social Security Bankruptcy -- The Government Knows It's Coming

Social Security Bankruptcy -- The Government Knows It's Coming | National Review Online
While engaging in the mundane task of gathering financial statements for a “secure retirement” meeting with my husband’s and my adviser, this Baby Boomer stumbled upon documented proof that our nation does not have the guts to confront one of its most serious economic problems.
The realization came when I pulled from my files a document statement innocently titled, “Your Social Security Statement.”
At first glance, the statement did not appear menacing.
I was told I could expect to receive a benefit of “about $2,136 a month” upon reaching age 70 — which certainly seems like good news.
But immediately I thought of a parallel of President Obama’s infamous Obamacare promise: “If you like your Social Security, you can keep your Social Security.”
Then, as if on cue, I saw an asterisk with the following message:
The law governing benefit amounts may change because, by 2033, the payroll taxes collected will be enough to pay only about 77 percent of scheduled benefits.
...This impending “benefit rationing,” reducing my future financial “security” by $492 a month, may, in fact, not be the worst of it.

BREAKING: Obama's Military Makes Sick Move Against Navy Officer Who Shot Muslim Attacker

BREAKING: Obama's Military Makes Sick Move Against Navy Officer Who Shot Muslim Attacker:

"Just like many other Americans, West wondered how in the world this could take place. The answer can only be found in Obama’s “leadership.”

In one of his columns, West suggested that it seemed the military would “prefer that Abdulazeez had been able to kill all the Marines and sailors at the Naval Support Reserve Center.” Given the charges being brought against White, it would certainly appear to be true."

'Cool kids' can go on to become losers in later life, study finds

'Cool kids' can go on to become losers in later life, study finds - Health News - Health & Families - The Independent:
"Being the "cool kid" might seem ideal at school but it can land you in difficulties later on in life, according to a new study.
The work, "Whatever Happened to the Cool Kids?", was published in the journal Child Development by researchers at the University of Virginia, and looked at the lives of more than 180 teenagers in America over a decade.
But the results might not be to the liking of those who want to rule the roost at their schools.
According to the study, teenagers who tried to act cool and were popular during their younger years had a higher risk of experiencing problems as adults, including alcohol and drug abuse, and becoming involved in crime.
So 'cool teens' - made popular in films by characters such as James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause and Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls - may go on to lose out.
Professor Joseph Allen, professor of psychology at the University of Virginia, said: “It appears that while so-called cool teens’ behaviour might have been linked to early popularity, over time, these teens needed more and more extreme behaviours to try to appear cool, at least to a sub-group of other teens,” the Daily Mail reports.
“So they became involved in more serious criminal behaviour and alcohol and drug use as adolescence progressed.
“These previously cool teens appeared less competent – socially and otherwise – than their less cool peers by the time they reaches young adulthood...”

On the verge of the unthinkable

Can we stop this deadly Iran deal?

...Second, even if Congress is able to override Obama’s veto, we cannot stop the full scope of the deal from going into effect.
As John Bolton explained during an interview on Fox News, because Obama partnered with European nations, they will still honor the deal irrespective of our actions.
Obama intentionally surrendered our sovereignty to Europe.
And that doesn’t even take into account Russia or China.
According to Bolton, all Congress can do is stop Obama from lifting sanctions.
And if that happens, it triggers a clause in the deal that releases Iran from its responsibilities with respect to nuclear agreements.
To the latter point, I’m not convinced it means much.
There’s no reason to think Iran would uphold its end of the bargain no matter what the circumstance. Nor am I convinced the deal allows the West any meaningful ability to monitor Iran’s behavior. More importantly,
I have no confidence the West would take action against Iran even if they did catch Iran breaking its end of the bargain.
Quite the opposite.
...How surreal it is to type these words.
We are writing, reading, talking, screaming, raging, witnessing, and fearing our country becoming an enabler of the largest state sponsor of terror in the world.
That we are on the verge of helping a nation that wants to destroy us, acquire the weapons to do so.
That we are aligning ourselves with the 21st century Hitler.
And that we must take action -- no less fight a nearly impossible fight -- to curb this descent into evil, madness, and hell.

What’s happening to this heroic Navy officer from the Chattanooga shooting will make your blood BOIL

What’s happening to this heroic Navy officer from the Chattanooga shooting will make your blood BOIL - Allen B. West - AllenBWest.com:
"As reported ten days ago by Western Journalism, “A Navy officer and Marine reportedly returned fire at the shooter who killed five service members in Chattanooga, Tenn., even though current policy does not permit military members to carry firearms on facilities such as those where the attack occurred.
The cold-blooded assault killed four Marines and one active-duty Navy reservist.
The center’s commanding officer, Lt. Cmdr. Timothy White, used his personal firearm to engage the shooter during the attack, according to sources quoted in the Navy Times.
A report from The Washington Post said that one of the Marines killed in the shooting might have been carrying a 9 mm Glock and possibly returned fire on the shooter.
At the time, Western Journalism wrote, Lt. Cmdr. White could face disciplinary action for violating policy about possessing a weapon on the facility that was supposedly a gun-free zone.
The investigation into the attack is ongoing, and authorities will not know if White or the Marine hit the shooter until an autopsy and a ballistics report have been completed.
Ladies and gents, resulting from the text message I received yesterday, I can confirm that the United States Navy is bringing charges against Lt. Cmdr Timothy White for illegally discharging a firearm on federal property."

Steyn: Trump's Rise Shows GOP Base 'Absolutely Hates' Leadership

Steyn: Trump's Rise Shows GOP Base 'Absolutely Hates' Leadership - Breitbart:
"Columnist and author of “The Undocumented,” Mark Steyn said Donald Trump’s rise in the polls shows “the voter base of the Republican Party absolutely hates the Republican Party leadership and establishment” on Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Your World with Neil Cavuto.”
Steyn stated, “Sen. Rand Paul says this is temporary insanity on the part of whatever it is, 20-something percent of the Republican base.
I think it was Einstein who said that insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over again, and expecting a different result, and the base supported the Republican Party establishment, delivered them a huge victory in 2010 in the House, and a huge victory in the House and Senate in 2014, and got nothing to show for it.
And they’re tired of getting stiffed by the Republican Party establishment.
And I think Trump’s rise in the poll, reflects actually nothing more sophisticated than the fact that the voter base of the Republican Party absolutely hates the Republican Party leadership and establishment.”
...Steyn also argued that Trump’s handling of some of his misstatements is “actually a lesson for other candidates, too.
You know, the strangulated, constipated artificiality in which the candidates talk about things, where they say something mildly infelicitous, and then some spokesperson comes out and regrets that they misspoke.
Trump basically does nothing but misspeak, and he never apologizes for it.
Even the Hispanics don’t seem to mind him saying that Mexicans are just a bunch of rapists.”"

From BI:
When Dan Price, founder and CEO of the Seattle-based credit-card-payment processing firm Gravity Payments, announced he was raising the company’s minimum salary to $70,000 a year, he was met with overwhelming enthusiasm.
“Everyone start[ed] screaming and cheering and just going crazy,” Price told Business Insider shortly after he broke the news in April.
But in the weeks since then, it’s become clear that not everyone is equally pleased.
Among the critics?
Some of Price’s own employees.
...“He gave raises to people who have the least skills and are the least equipped to do the job, and the ones who were taking on the most didn’t get much of a bump,” she told The Times.
A fairer plan, she told the paper, would give newer employees smaller increases, along with the chance to earn a more substantial raise with more experience.
From Fox News:
Dan Price, 31, tells the New York Times that things have gotten so bad he’s been forced to rent out his house."

Obama FDA OKed Serving Lion Meat in 2010... #CecilTheLion

Obama FDA OKed Serving Lion Meat in 2010... #CecilTheLion - GotNews:
"The Obama Admin wants to hector lion-killing dentist Walter Palmer but its FDA once argued it was perfectly legal to eat African lion.
The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is apparently investigating Palmer for a safari trip he took to Zimbabwe.
A White House petition calling for Palmer’s extradition to Zimbabwe has nearly 198,000 signatures.
And yet Obama’s Food and Drug Administration has OKed importing African lion meat into the U.S.
In Phoenix, AZ, a restauranteur served lion meat in honor of the World Cup held in South Africa in 2010.
Serving African lion meat is perfectly legal, said Michael Herndon, a spokesman for the Food and Drug Administration.
Game meat such as lion can be sold as long as the species isn’t endangered, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention hasn’t prohibited importation of African lion, although its Asiatic cousin is on the endangered list.
Perhaps the reason lions are endangered and cows are not is that they aren’t on the menu?
The author of Obama’s book, Dreams From My Father, lied about Obama potentially eating illegal tiger meat while he lived in Indonesia."

“When you send billions of dollars to jihadists trying to kill Americans, you bear responsibility for the murder they carry out with the money you have given them” Cruz told host Chad Hasty, adding that the Iranian supreme leader routinely leads chants in which he shouts, “Death to America.”

Cruz previously characterized the deal as “catastrophic” and said that it poses the “gravest national security threat” more than anything else for three reasons.

Where is the Coverage of Juanita Broaddrick?

Articles: Where is the Coverage of Juanita Broaddrick?:
"The liberal media feeding frenzy about a quarter-century-old alleged marital rape involving GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, and former wife Ivana, has a fury that was strangely absent when Bill Clinton was credibly accused of rape by Juanita Broaddrick in a Little Rock hotel room in 1978 when William Jefferson Clinton was attorney general of Arkansas.
Ivana says her alleged “rape” never happened, Juanita Broaddrick says hers did.
So why aren’t Hillary and Bill being peppered with questions about it as Donald and Ivana are? Perhaps because unlike liberal nemesis Trump’s case, Clinton’s more credidble story is now considered “old news”.
Alleged rape victim Ivana Trump issued a statement to CNN that made the stories by the Daily Beast and others look downright silly if they weren’t so maliciously untrue:
“The story is totally without merit. Donald and I are the best of friends and together have raised three children that we love and are very proud of.
I have nothing but fondness for Donald and wish him the best of luck on his campaign.
Incidentally, I think he would make an incredible president.”
...Juanita Broaddrick’s story is a credible one, and one of the many “bimbo eruptions” that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton handled during her husband Bill’s presidential campaign.
...Juanita Broaddrick’s story was one that saw the light of day when in January 1999, a month after Bill Clinton’s impeachment in the House, she agreed to be interviewed by NBC’s Lisa Myers. As Breitbart reports concerning the interview:
Her account begins in 1978, when then-Juanita Hickey was a 35 year-old Clinton campaign worker, and Attorney General Bill Clinton, who was running for governor of Arkansas, visited a nursing home where she worked as a nurse….
According to the transcript of an NBC Dateline report on Broaddrick, during that campaign stop, Clinton reportedly invited her to visit his campaign headquarters in Little Rock. Broaddrick, who was planning to go to Little Rock the following week for a seminar, called Clinton’s headquarters when she arrived and said she was surprised to be greeted on the phone by a staff member who seemed to be expecting her call.
The aide directed her to telephone Clinton at his apartment.
“I did call and ask him if he was gonna be at the headquarters that day and he said no he didn’t plan to be there,” Broaddrick said.
“He says, Clinton said, ‘Why don’t I just meet you for coffee in the Camelot coffee shop?'”
Broaddrick said the seminar was being held at the Camelot Hotel in Little Rock.
Clinton, however, reportedly called back later and asked if they could meet in her hotel room because there were reporters in the coffee shop.
Clinton arrived at her room and after some small talk Broaddrick, not having yet any reason to distrust the man she supported for governor, the top law enforcement officer in her state, said he forced himself on her in a particularly brutal way.
It was not quite as forceful as his later forcible groping of Kathleen Willey in the Oval Office but it fit a sexually predatory pattern that would also engulf Gennifer Flowers, Elizabeth Ward Gracen, and Paula Jones, to name a few.
So if a quarter-century-old alleged marital “rape”, which both Donald Trump and former wife Ivana say never happened, is relevant to Donald Trump’s candidacy, why isn’t Juanita Broaddrick’s accusation of rape relevant and credible, when added to the list of “bimbo eruptions” relevant to the candidacy of Hillary Clinton, who handled those eruptions and now champions women’s rights?..

Officials Reveal The Truth About Cecil The Lion – Animal Rights Groups Don’t Want You To See This

Officials Reveal The Truth About Cecil The Lion – Animal Rights Groups Don’t Want You To See This | Red Rock Tribune:
Palmer killed Cecil earlier this month while on a hunting trip in Africa, and after the news broke this week, he has been flooded with death threats and been forced to close down his dental practice.
Liberals are citing the people of Zimbabwe in justifying their outrage, saying that Cecil was something of a national icon.
However, new reports reveal that the people of Zimbabwe don’t care about Cecil at all: they have bigger things to worry about.
“What lion?” acting Information Minister Prisca Mupfumira responded when he was asked about the killing.
According to Conservative Tribune, Zimbabwe natives have expressed shock that American liberals have become so angry over this insignificant incident.
“Are you saying that all this noise is about a dead lion?
Lions are killed all the time in this country,” said Tryphina Kaseke, a used-clothes hawker on the streets of Harare.
“What is so special about this one?”
In reality, most people in Zimbabwe rely on big game hunters like Palmer to drive their economy. There is an 80% unemployment rate in the African nation, so business from a wealthy traveler like him is very much appreciated.
The dentist paid $50,000 to hunt the lion.
