Image result for Navy approves man-buns for sailorsWASHINGTON — Citing the importance of recruiting in the 18 to 24-year-old demographic, the U.S. Navy has updated its policy to allow sailors to wear man-buns while in uniform, sources confirmed today.
“We need to open our gates to the best and brightest candidates,” said Adm. John Richardson, chief of naval operations.
“So what if they laze around in coffee shops writing half-finished screenplays and delaying adulthood into their thirties?
It’s our job to adapt to them.
The change is not without its critics, most notably a cacophony of older veterans leaving “glad I got out when I did” comments on the Navy’s public Facebook page.
Yet recruiting has already skyrocketed in bougie urban centers across America..."

Italy is toughening up, wants zero tolerance policy for criminal asylum seekers

Italy is toughening up, wants zero tolerance policy for criminal asylum seekers
"Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini announced on Twitter that he is working on a zero tolerance policy for criminal migrants.
“I am working on an administrative order (#decretosicurezza) which will make it possible to refuse asylum requests if the person seeking it has committed a crime, because nowadays the law, except in certain cases, permits that criminal foreigners stay in the country and receive “protection” at the expense of the Italian people. #zerotolerance”

Sto lavorando a un che permetterà anche di bloccare domanda di asilo a chi commette reati, perché oggi la legge, eccetto che in alcuni casi, consente a delinquenti stranieri di continuare a chiedere e ricevere “protezione” a spese degli italiani.

Stripe, PayPal, Patreon: The Right Is Being Banned from Online Fundraising | Breitbart:

Image result for flickr commons images Credit CardsThe creeping exclusion of the right from online platforms like Twitter and Facebook is well-known, drawing the attention of Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale and the RNC. But a greater challenge is on the horizon: the exclusion of the right from financial services.
Conservatives have long been the target of shadowbans, biased algorithms, and account bans on social media. Not content with silencing their voices online, the left now wants to stop the right from using the web to fundraise. Thanks to the increasing willingness of online fundraising platforms and payment processors to ban clients for political reasons, they are getting their way.

These American states are drowning in ‘irretrievable’ debt | Fox Business

See the source imageThese American states are drowning in ‘irretrievable’ debt | Fox Business:
"Connecticut may be the richest state in the country, on a per capita basis, but it's racked up a sizable debt worth more than $53 billion – and it could be taxpayers who are forced to bail out the Constitution State, according to the former governor of Indiana.
...And Connecticut isn’t the only state struggling with a debt crisis: California, Illinois, New Jersey and New York are unable to make pension payments to retired government workers.
In Illinois, for instance, vendors wait months to be paid by a government that’s $30 billion in debt, and one whose bonds are just one notch above junk bond status, according to Daniels.
New York’s more than $356 billion in debt; New Jersey more than $104 billion; and California more than $428 billion.
“They’re just one of a number of states, including some of the biggest states, that are in deep water,” Daniels said.
“I think it is irretrievable.
Pensions is the core of it.
It’s not the only fiscal recklessness that they have practiced, but in some of those cases, the bill are genuinely unpayable.”...

Wisconsin ordered to pay for gender reassignment surgeries

Wisconsin ordered to pay for gender reassignment surgeries:
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A federal judge has ordered Wisconsin to pay for the gender reassignment surgery for two transgender Medicaid recipients.
See the source imageCody Flack, 30, and Sara Ann Makenzie, 41, filed a lawsuit in April, saying a state rule denying coverage for surgeries to treat gender dysphoria violates the Affordable Care Act and their right to equal protection, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
"The likelihood of ongoing, irreparable harm facing these two individual plaintiffs outweighs any marginal impacts on the defendants' stated concerns regarding public health or limiting costs," Conley said in the 39-page order.
...Flack, who has cerebral palsy, uses a motorized wheelchair and relies on Supplemental Security Income for the disabled as his sole support.
He first identified as a boy at age 5, according the lawsuit.
Makenzie is also is disabled and relies on Supplemental Security Income.
She has been living as a woman since 2012.
The state's Medicaid has a budget of approximately $9.7 billion to cover about 1.2 million eligible residents.

Based on Comey’s finding, Clinton should have faced a multiple-count criminal indictment, since the FBI discovered that she had stored 110 classified emails on her unauthorized, private computer server. Other people had been prosecuted for similar conduct that jeopardized national security in violation of the law. Yet, Comey – despite characterizing Clinton’s actions with the clear language denoting violation of the law - saw to it that no charges were ever brought against Clinton.

Prof calls on art teachers to reject ‘geometry of whiteness’

  • In a chapter for a new "Handbook of Race and Arts in Education," a University of North Texas art education professor argues that K-12 teachers should work to combat "geometries of whiteness."
  • Tyson Lewis contends that "whiteness is a kind of one-dimensional way of being in the world," suggesting that educators incorporate "critical whiteness studies" to advance the "social justice agenda" of art education.

An art education professor at the University of North Texas is urging his fellow educators to use social justice-themed art classes to fight “geometries of whiteness.”
Tyson E. Lewis, who teaches classes on critical pedagogy and aesthetic theory, contributed a chapter on “Art Education and Whiteness as Style” for a new guide aimed at other educators, The Palgrave Handbook of Race and Arts in Education
"Because whiteness and maleness are geometric styles, aesthetic questions are intrinsically political and political questions are inherently aesthetic."
“Art education needs to draw upon critical whiteness studies to further its social justice agenda while at the same time recognizing the resources that art education brings to questions of whiteness,” Lewis writes in the preface of his chapter.
In response to concerns over the lack of minority educators in K-12, especially as schools are becoming more racially and ethnically diverse, Lewis argues that “the question of whiteness cannot be avoided if we are to continue to uphold the idea of educational equity and equality.”...

Herlitz shared this informatin with an immigration officer, who told him to file a report detailing his findings.
