A Google whistleblower has gone public with claims of election manipulation and political bias, according to investigative journalism group Project Veritas, which posted a trove of over 950 documents provided by Google insider Zachary Vorhies, who says he has come forward because he “saw something dark and nefarious going on with the company and I realized that they were going to not only tamper with the elections, but use that tampering with the elections to essentially overthrow the United States.”

Missing the Point of Gun Ownership

Missing the Point of Gun Ownership
"If there were ever a survey asking gun owners why they buy guns, I’d wager the majority of them would say that it basically is for protection.
The Second Amendment was not written for hunters but for the people’s self-protection, including protection from tyranny.
The first thing smart dictators do is remove guns from registered owners.
While the media and the left pontificate about the evil of guns used in recent mass shootings, Senator Lindsey Graham told the blatant truth when asked about why he owned an AR-15.
His comments were reported in an article by Hunter Lovell in the Washington Examiner:
The South Carolina senator made the comments to reporters aboard Air Force One that he maintains an AR-15 in case "there's a hurricane, a natural disaster, no power, no cops, no anything."
His remarks were first revealed by Voice of America on Twitter. A reporter then asked him to clarify if he meant the semiautomatic rifle was for looters.
"Yeah, people, they’re not going to come to the AR-15 home," Graham responded. "Well, I think if you show up on the porch with an AR-15, they’ll probably go down the street."

For protectionOne of the survivors of the awful El Paso massacre, Christopher Grant, a black man, told CNN’s Chris Cuomo that he was surprised his mother didn’t have her gun with her : “I ran towards my mother to try and shield her. And I’m like ‘mom.’ Cause my mom is a gun-wielding grandma. She carries a snub-nose Smith and Wesson, 38 special with a built in scope in it — everywhere she goes.”
This was probably not something CNN wanted to report while visiting survivors in hospital. Why did this black woman carry a gun? For protection, of course.
It still has not occurred to the Left that gun laws only impact the law-abiding..."

Canadian Health Care Refused to Pay for Disabled Father's Care, but Happily Paid for His Assisted Suicide | Trending

Canadian Health Care Refused to Pay for Disabled Father's Care, but Happily Paid for His Assisted Suicide | Trending
"...tragic story of a disabled Canadian father who chose to end his own life, leaving behind an 11-year-old son.
...I'm not the one living under Canada's health care system that was more than happy to pay for my suicide but not the care I needed.
So, yes, I disagree with Tagert's "choice" and mourn the loss of his life, but I blame Canada and their "touted" socialized medicine.
According to a story published by CBC, Tagert died on Tuesday, August 6.
Facebook post linked to in the article provides the sad details that led to his decision:
...The post goes on to point the finger in the direction of the government and the mandated health care:
Ensuring consistent care was a constant struggle and source of stress for Sean as a patient. ...gaining the 24-hour care he required was extremely difficult, especially as the provincial government refused to fully fund home care....
According to CBC:
Vancouver Coastal Health offered him 15.5 hours of home care under the Choice in Supports for Independent Living program but not the 24-hour care he needed...
A single-payer health care system will always sink to the lowest common denominator, removing choice. If death is more efficient for the system, than death it will be..."

Family of couple who died protecting their infant child in El Paso gets death threats over Trump photo - TheBlaze:

What hasn't caught much press was the fact that the family of the deceased, -- that is, the direct immediately family of two of the victims of the mass killing, who are now the guardians of that baby who lives because his parents died -- that family is now receiving threats.
Those threats are not about their immigration status, or their ethnicity, but instead for their association with Trump, and for their participation in that photo.

The simple answer? Yes, you can safely take acetaminophen and ibuprofen together.
Image result for Acetaminophen With IbuprofenThis may surprise you, though: Taking these two medications together works better to relieve pain than taking them separately. Research studies have shown that ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) and acetaminophen (Tylenol) together work well to relieve certain types of pain with few side effects
In fact, even for extreme dental pain, these medications combined work better than many opioid pain medications (like Vicodin or Norco)..."

"Dependable" green energy FAIL!-----Texas Weather: Extreme Heat Drives Electricity Prices to $9,000 - Bloomberg

Texas Weather: Extreme Heat Drives Electricity Prices to $9,000 - Bloomberg
"Electricity prices briefly surged past a $9,000 a megawatt-hour price cap in Texas as extreme heat sent power demand skyrocketing and forced the state’s grid operator to declare an emergency.
...At one point on Tuesday afternoon, the region had just 2,121 megawatts left in power reserves, less than 3% of total demand on the system.
...The unprecedented rally highlights how fragile Texas power markets -- and to a lesser extent, markets across the U.S. -- have become as giant, conventional power plants retire, squeezed out by cheap natural gas and renewable energy resources.
Slow breezes are cutting wind power generation in TexasTexas’s grid operator has been warning for months that plant shutdowns and increasing electricity demand has left it with slim supply margins.
...This week’s price spikes also underscore how dependent the region’s power grid has become on wind farms, which now make up about a quarter of the generation capacity in Texas.
Lackluster breezes contributed to the higher prices, said Flannan Hehir, a power analyst at energy data provider Genscape..."

Gregg Jarrett: Comey's FBI was running a secret counterintelligence operation against Trump, new docs show | Fox News:

Image result for flickr commons images james comeyNewly obtained documents confirm that James Comey’s FBI was running a secret and corrupt counterintelligence operation against the Trump campaign in the summer of 2016 and repeatedly deceiving the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC) thereafter in order to wiretap a Trump campaign associate.
The disclosure was the result of a federal lawsuit and a year of litigation. Despite efforts by FBI Director Christopher Wray to obstruct, a federal court issued an order that forced the FBI and Department of Justice to produce the records known as “302 reports.”  They are a summary of interviews FBI agents conducted with Bruce Ohr, a top DOJ official.

Worse Than Ever: Government Schools After 35 Years

Worse Than Ever: Government Schools After 35 Years
"As a semi-retired business writer who taught in Detroit 35 years ago, I returned to the classroom because a local high school was unable to replace a Latin teacher who had resigned.
I hold an advanced degree in medieval studies and renewed my certification to teach Latin, history, and social studies.
Once in class, I witnessed firsthand the politicized atmosphere of today’s factory-style government-monopoly schools.
My first exposure to school politics came when I renewed my certification.
The 1982 certificate only listed the courses I could teach.
In contrast, the 2018 version had a 300-word “Code of Ethics” that amounted to a profession of faith in collectivism, egalitarianism, state schools, and diversity (typically limited to superficial things like skin color and gender, not ideas).
Nonetheless, I proceeded, thinking that I couldn’t possibly make matters worse.
That much was correct.
Grosse Pointe South High School is architecturally interesting, sits in a higher-income community, and is considered a good school by locals.
Grosse Pointe South High School (photo credit: umdet)
After an interview and teaching a few “test” classes to first- and second-year students, I was hired.
Within a few days, however, it was clear that many students did not understand English grammar, much less Latin fundamentals.
In response, I taught remedial grammar and outlined how students could pass my course with a “C” or “D.”
There were some excellent students, but test scores were not distributed in a bell-shaped curve.
It was an “inverted” bell, or bimodal distribution – with scores clumped at the two extremes.
Poor preparation, however, was only the tip of the iceberg.
Students did not bring books to class, relentlessly complained about homework, and expected high grades regardless of proficiency.
And when I asked questions, I uncovered some alarming facts:
  • Latin was a dumping ground for students who already had failed another language; “picking up a few phrases” was the goal.
  • Many teachers expected little but awarded high grades.
  • Students were subjected to parental pressure to obtain good grades regardless of performance.
  • A department head had been demoted for teaching at a pre-college level and refusing to lower his standards.
  • Senior teachers were dropping out in disgust; younger teachers had no choice but to accept the situation.
  • Under parental pressure, the principal was establishing a process to prevent students from having to take more than one test on the same day.  College prep?
In short, the school embraced grade inflation, propelled by the following dynamic:
  • Parents of high-performing students are “satisfied customers.”  Their kids study and bring home good grades, so they think they are getting their money’s worth from high taxes.  But they don’t know that there is no correlation between per-pupil spending and student performance.  And they never complain.
  • Parents of low-performing students also want good “results.”  They hear their children’s tales of woe and complain constantly.
Subjected to this one-sided feedback, administrators tacitly urge teachers to lower standards, despite proclaiming the opposite in public..."
