'A Faucian Dystopia': Ron DeSantis Breaks Silence on New CDC Guidelines with Powerful Message About Freedom - Louder With Crowder
The CDC followed the politics this week and revised its mask guidelines. Possibly on faulty data. According to the CDC, you should go back to wearing a mask even if you had your shots, because some people haven't gotten shots, even though the shots were supposed to have worked. Governments and politicians blindly following CDC guidelines is how the lockdowns happened. There's understandable concern they may attempt to do so again. All eyes (or at least the ones that are open) looked to America's Governor Ron DeSantis to see how he responded to these new "suggestions" from liberals' favorite government bureaucracy.

GOOD: Congress fails to extend eviction moratorium expiring Saturday.

Congress fails to extend eviction moratorium expiring Saturday.

The eleventh-hour bid, which came as thousands of people may soon face the process of being forced from their homes, faltered amid caucus divisions. About a dozen House Democrats opposed the measure and were unwilling to budge, two senior Democratic aides told NBC News...

Related: “[T]he moratorium has left an enormous $21 billion tab in unpaid rent built up.
"Whenever the order finally expires, crushing bills will come due.
They will either bankrupt delinquent renters, leave landlords in the lurch, or, unfortunately, be passed on to taxpayers via a bailout.
The longer the eviction moratorium continues, the more this dysfunction magnifies.
Of course, that only gives politicians more incentive to expand it into perpetuity to avoid having to face the fallout from their poor policy decisions.
The ultimate loser from such cowardice, though, is American taxpayers.
Remember that next time you hear the word ‘temporary’ attached to a proposal for a new government program.”--Posted by Ed Driscoll"

Scientists Warn That Within 6 Months Humanity Will Run Out Of Things To Call Racist | The Babylon Bee
  • ATLANTA, GA—Calling brand new things racist—that no one would ever have thought could be racist—is fun, and everyone loves it.
  • But as each new day people breathlessly inform us of the racist history of things like crossword puzzles and punctuality, scientists are warning of an impending catastrophe.
  • “At this current rate of coming up with new things that are racist,” warned racism scientist Frank Greene, “we’ll run out of new things to call racist

Losing Our Liberty All at Once?

Instapundit--Losing Our Liberty All at Once?  --ROGER KIMBALL

Joseph Hackett, you see, is a 51-year-old Trump supporter and member of an organization called the “Oath Keepers,” a group whose members have pledged to “defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.” (You can see how this ends already, can’t you?) ...Hackett came from his home in Florida to join the Trump “Stop the Steal” rally that took place on January 6.

According to court documents, he entered the Capitol at 2:45 that afternoon. He left some ten minutes later, at 2:54. The next day, he went home. On May 28, he was apprehended by the FBI and indicted on a long list of charges, including conspiracy, obstruction of an official proceeding, destruction of government property, and illegally entering a restricted building...

Earlier: The insurrectionary crime of “parading.” “Now the press hypes up a bunch of people protesting in the Capitol as some sort of combination of Pearl Harbor and 9/11.

How different it was when Marxists stormed the Senate Building in October 2018 to protest the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh.”--Posted by

Forgotten Fact Checks: Fauci, Rand Paul, Cuba, and More | National Review
That means that when he plays word games and obfuscates the truth from the American people, journalists have not only a right, but an obligation to point it out. It’s odd, then, that CNN’s Jake Tapper not only ignored the substantive criticisms of Fauci levied by Senator Rand Paul last week regarding gain of function research conducted in China with American taxpayer dollars, but proudly announced his intention to do so.

China Picking Up Where US Leaves Off Not A Good Thing - by Tom Knighton - Tilting At Windmills
"China is not our friend.
I know. I’m really breaking news on that one, aren’t I?
However, they’re not. Seeing this fact shouldn’t be rocket science.
The Biden administration, which is not exactly filled with brain surgeons, should be able to see it plain as day.
Unfortunately, we get crap like this instead.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has said China's possible involvement in Afghanistan could be "a positive thing"...He urged the Taliban to come to the "negotiating table... peacefully".
Oh, goodie.
Here’s the problem with this.
First, China and the Taliban already have one thing in common.
They don’t like the United States.
...When the United States leaves a void somewhere, it creates a problem.
...The sooner our so-called leaders recognize that China is a rival.
More than that, though, they’re likely an enemy nation.
The sooner we start to recognize that, the sooner we can recognize that moves like this aren’t necessarily going to be in our best interests.
Understand, if China can find a way to screw us, they will...Read all.

Regarding Covid-19, Public Policy v. Panic | The Pipeline
"...Director Rochelle Walensky stated this week that “fully vaccinated people have just as much viral load as the unvaccinated, making it possible for them to spread the virus to others,” so school children should be masked.
She should be ignored if it her claim is not supported by equally sound research -- and it isn't.
It's based instead on data from a single study in India, where different vaccines were in use, and was so deficient it was rejected in peer review.
She’s not alone, however.
There has been a drumbeat to reinstate some of the most loathsome and freedom-destroying diktats we’ve just come out from under.
Organizations and businesses are demanding employees be fully vaccinated and some even requiring vaccinated persons to mask.
...So, on one hand we have reputable scientists confirming low Covid mortality, broad natural immunity to the virus, easy rapid treatability of the disease at home and seemingly deliberate underreporting of vaccine toxicity by public health officials...Read all!!

  • $50 million taxpayer dollars down the tubes
"A company called Sakti3 was dubbed a Center of En
ergy Excellence
in 2010 by Michigan officials who gave it millions of taxpayer dollars to develop green energy products.
Like many other companies that received favors during the tenure of Gov. Jennifer Granholm, it did not enjoy great success.
Sakti3 was actively promoted by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation under Granholm, who is now the U.S. secretary of energy.
...But after 13 years, $50 million in taxpayer subsidies (according to Venture Beat) and a $90 million corporate buyout, the company’s run appears to have ended.
...Quartz went so far as to say, “In an industry riven with exaggeration and outright lying, Sastry’s resistance to sharing even seemingly innocuous performance data – including with her own employees – has prompted suspicion that she is evasive for reasons no more complicated than that she has little impressive to disclose.”
The suspicions appeared to be validated when in 2018 an electric industry publication reported that Dyson wrote off over 51 million euros ($60 million as of this writing) on its investment in Sakti3...Read all.

What Happens When Doctors Can't Tell the Truth? - by Katie Herzog - Common Sense with Bari Weiss
  • Whole areas of research are off-limits. Top physicians treat patients based on their race. An ideological 'purge' is underway in American medicine.
"...This story is the first in a series.
...The meetings are largely a support group.
The members share their concerns about what’s going on in their hospitals and universities, and strategize about what to do.
What is happening, they say, is the rapid spread of a deeply illiberal ideology in the country’s most important medical institutions...
  • ...I’ve heard from doctors who’ve been reported to their departments for criticizing residents for being late. (It was seen by their trainees as an act of racism.)
  • I’ve heard from doctors who’ve stopped giving trainees honest feedback for fear of retaliation.
