Lockdowns Produced a New Generation of Child Soldiers

In Colombia, armed groups have treated the pandemic as a recruitment opportunity.
"TUMACO, Colombia—On a dusty, unpaved street in one of Tumaco’s troubled neighborhoods, children dressed neatly in white and blue uniforms push through the door of a two-room schoolhouse to take their seats.
...“The moment when we stop teaching is the moment when recruitment into the [armed] groups starts,”...Read all.

Judge holds hospital in contempt of court for refusing ivermectin to COVID patient on ventilator, ignoring court order - TheBlaze

A Virginia hospital was held in contempt of court Monday after refusing to administer ivermectin to a woman who has been battling COVID-19 since early October. What are the details? Kathleen Davies, a 63-year-old northern Virginia woman, became severely ill with COVID in October, and she has been on a ventilator since Nov. 3. Davies was prescribed ivermectin by her family doctor, but she could not complete her regimen upon being admitted to the Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton. That's because the northern Virginia hospital refused to administer the drug, "citing medical, legal and practical concerns," the Fauquier Times reported.

Ben Shapiro: The Death of California | The Patriot Post

Why does California keep embracing ever-more-radical policy?

"...as California sinks into the mire, it embraces ever more radical social policy.
  • This is a state that currently houses — no pun intended — some 162,000 homeless people, a number that increased approximately 24% from 2018 to 2020. About a quarter of all homeless people in the United States currently reside in California.
  • Meanwhile, crime in California has become endemic, with smash-and-grabs roiling major cities and even wealthy residents murdered in their homes...Even former LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa laments, “Rome is burning.”
  • And California’s economy trails the nation’s, too. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, California is tied for the worst unemployment rate in the nation, at 7.3%...Read all.

5th Circuit sharply rebukes Biden administration for illegally ending 'Remain in Mexico' policy - TheBlaze

"We address and reject each of the Government’s reviewability arguments and determine that DHS has come nowhere close to shouldering its heavy burden to show that it can make law in a vacuum," he added.

Oldham made a point of sharply rebuking the government for skirting the administrative procedures enacted by Congress that the executive branch must follow to create or terminate policy.

Watch: Hero Travels to Kentucky with BBQ to Feed People - Louder With Crowder

When tragedy strikes, there are two kinds of people in this world: the Joe Bidens and the Jim Finches. The Joe Bidens in the world see something like the tornadoes that tore through Kentucky and think, "how can I shamelessly politicize this?" The Jims of this world buy a sh!tload of food, load their offset smoker in the back of a truck, and set up shop in the middle of the damage. Because the last thing people who lost everything they have need to worry about is eating.

Dozens of major cancer studies can't be replicated | Science News
  • A massive 8-year effort finds that much cancer research can’t be replicated
  • Unreliable preclinical studies could impede drug development later on
"An effort to replicate nearly 200 preclinical cancer experiments that generated buzz from 2010 to 2012 found that only about a quarter could be reproduced.
After eight years, a project that tried to reproduce the results of key cancer biology studies has finally concluded.
And its findings suggest that like research in the social sciences, cancer research has a replication problem...Read all!!

Democrats Declare War On Big Meat
  • In a question regarding inflated price of everything, Press Sec Psaki blamed, “the greed of meat conglomerates.” Really.
...Far be it from the Biden administration to accept any responsibility for sky-high grocery prices, instead, they’re blaming Big Meat.

Don’t even get me started on the “supply chain” shortage.
But anyway, moving along… Sen. Elizabeth Warren has joined the Big Meat Bad bandwagon and is also blaming “greedy” farmers or as she calls them, “meatpacking monopolies.”...Read all.

The Bullpup Shotgun Experiment - Lucky Gunner Lounge

The Bullpup Shotgun Experiment - Lucky Gunner Lounge
"With the release of the Smith & Wesson M&P12 earlier this year, it looks like bullpup shotguns are finally making their way into the mainstream.
Is it a viable concept for home defense with legitimate benefits over conventional shotguns, or just a passing fad that will become meme-fodder in a few years?
Using the KelTec KS7 as a test platform (with the hope of side-stepping the mechanical complexity issues of the multi-tube models), we try to examine some of the pros and cons inherent to shotguns with a bullup configuration...Read all.

Toyota is going to make you pay to start your car with your key fob - The Verge

"Toyota is charging drivers for the convenience of using their key fobs to remotely start their cars. According to a report from The Drive, Toyota models 2018 or newer will need a subscription in order for the key fob to support remote start functionality.

As The Drive notes, buyers are given the option to choose from an array of Connected Services when purchasing a new Toyota, and one of those services — called Remote Connect — just so happens to include the ability to remotely start your car with your key fob.

Buyers are offered a free trial of Remote Connect, but the length of that trial depends on the audio package that’s included with the vehicle.
