In order to match the 2,000 cars that a typical filling station can service in a busy 12 hours, an EV charging station would require 600, 50-watt chargers at an estimated cost of $24 million and a supply of 30 megawatts of power from the grid. That is enough to power 20,000 homes.
...it can take 30 minutes to 8 hours to recharge a vehicle between empty or just topping off. ...installing electric car charging stations in a city is impractical: “If you’ve got cars coming into a petrol station, they would stay for an average of five minutes. If you’ve got cars coming into an electric charging station, they would be at least 30 minutes, possibly an hour, but let’s say its 30 minutes. The Great Lakes in the north-central U.S. is a perfect example of how leftist green loons think climate change can be blamed for literally everything.

And because there wasn’t enough water in the lakes, greenies were running around with their hair on fire because “climate change” had destroyed the Great Lakes permanently.
The water was never going to rise again, they said.
Take this report from Chicago’s public TV station, WTTW, for instance.

In a Jan. 24, 2013, article, WTTW bemoaned that the lakes were at “the lowest water levels in history.”
The station warned of climate change:
