Their nauseating formula was the same exhausting pattern: we condemn the killing BUT …
And the “but” was, as always, followed by various forms of: “…Charlie Kirk said stuff we disagree with.”
And, as usual, it mischaracterized or misquoted him.
But the Nation missed the point.
Charlie Kirk’s death did not represent any kind of vindication against “intolerance,” however attenuated.
It represented the death of dialogue.
If there were one thing Charlie Kirk was most famous for, it was his willingness to patiently and respectfully debate his ideas with anyone.
And, they could have killed him anytime.
But they killed him during just that kind of reasoned debate, driving a final, bloodstained stake through any shred of hope that democratic debate could resolve the issues separating the sides.
It's been several years since medical regulators inside the government and pharmaceutical companies unleashed the often-injurious mRNA treatments on Americans already suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic.
And just now some of the facts about that orchestration are emerging, including that some of the "experts" are nave about some of the basic facts involving mRNA.
The aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination shows how effective their campaign has been. Democrats and their allies are:
- Quoting things Charlie said that he never said.
- Intentionally twisting the context of what he said.
- Treating hearsay as fact and truth – the mass of people who are calling Kirk a racist, a bigot, a transphobe or homophobe are basing their statements on what they heard from someone else.
- Treating any legitimate counterpoint to their ideological positions as “hate speech”.
- Justifying Kirk’s murder (or lack of sympathy for his family) because he was a white supremacist, a racist, a transphobe or some other iteration of Satan.
In the past 24 hours, I have heard statements from people who should know better that define Charlie Kirk as someone he was not and never was – none of it can be supported by fact and it is all done to justify their narrative...
Charlie's murder is just the latest example in a long litany of horrific examples that explain why America is so polarized.
And it comes down to this:
The division in America is, at its core, between those who want the truth -- want to know it and want to be able to say it -- and those who believe that with power comes the right to decide what the truth is, and to substitute a "narrative," if that suits their purposes.
America is polarized because Americans have been betrayed and manipulated and exploited and lied to by the most important cultural institutions we have -- government, the medical profession, the justice system, the educational system, the media, the entertainment industry.
During the 2016 presidential election, our government was actively using social media corporations to censor us, and only Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter (now X) exposed that vile conspiracy.
We were lied to about Joe Biden's mental capacity and actual engagement not only while he was running for reelection in 2024 but throughout his entire term as president of the United States.
We continue to be told by medical professionals, school administrators, teachers and others that men can become women, and vice versa, by force of will.
We are told that toddlers can change their "gender" and that biological males have no physical advantage over females in sports...
