- Among respondents who identified as Democrats, 42% said they believed that the Butler attempt by would-be assassin Thomas Crooks was fake, according to a YouGov poll.
- Thirty-four percent believed the recent attempt by suspect Cole Allen at the White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) dinner was also staged.
- Twenty-six percent said the same of Ryan Routh’s attempt at Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach in September 2024.
Notably, the poll found that nearly a quarter of Democrats believed all three attempts were hoaxes.

The idea, which was broached during a Saturday call with Democratic lawmakers, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, would reduce the retirement age of Virginia Supreme Court justices from 75 to 54, forcing all current justices off the bench and appointing justices who would vote in favor of the gerrymandering plan.

Oregon Democrats Found a Way to Improve Roads. Now Their Gas Tax Goes before Voters as Prices Soar | Newsmax.com:
Under the legislation, Oregon’s gas tax would rise from 40 cents to 46 cents a gallon. That would make it tied with Maryland for the eighth highest gas tax of any state when factoring in other state taxes and fees, according to figures from the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
