• Rep. Jayapal called the news "total bulls**t" and called for a wealth tax.

• Rep. Ro Khanna, who is currently supporting two different billionaire wealth taxes, suggested spending the money on free college and cheap daycare.

• Sen. Elizabeth Warren made a video calling for a wealth tax and repeated a bunch of retread lies about how little billionaires pay in taxes...

ActBlue’s record is filthy: 

• For years, it failed to follow basic security procedures (like requiring 3-digit CVV numbers on credit cards), 
• leading its own internal anti-fraud team to sound the alarm — 
• leaving huge loopholes for, in the company’s own words, “a big attack where each individual donation fell below the [fraud review] threshold.”...

It cited “Breathe,” Los Angeles County’s guaranteed income program, which is funded by taxpayers, as well as programs in other cities that have used the Covid-era’s American Rescue Plan Act to fund pilots.

• In 2022 the Breathe pilot randomly selected 1,000 participants to receive $1,000 per month for 3 years...
