Rent Control—Still Doesn’t Work
In 2022, politicians in Minneapolis and St. Paul voted for rent control. - John Stossel
I said that would lead to bigger problems.
But what the heck is “profiteering,” and how is it different from “profit”?
I said that would lead to bigger problems.
- Was I right?
- My update video reveals what happened.
But what the heck is “profiteering,” and how is it different from “profit”?

Taxpayers Footed the Bill for Nearly $500M in Food Stamps at California Fast Food Joints
Taxpayers Footed the Bill for Nearly $500M in Food Stamps at California Fast Food Joints:
Food stamp recipients gobbled more than half a billion dollars on fast food over two years, with California eating up most of that sum.
The data came to light after Rep. Brandon Gill, a Republican from Texas, proposed a bill that would wipe out the Supplemental Nutrition Program’s Restaurant Meals Program, according to the New York Post.
From June 2023 through May 2025, more than $524 million in SNAP benefits were paid out at fast food restaurants.
When they are in power!-----An NYPD veteran who became Hamtramck's Muslim chief told officers wife-beating isn't a "formal" crime.
Former city manager Max Garbarino's lawsuit says Altaheri ordered officers not to write reports after domestic calls at his house. - Blue Lives Matter
In Hamtramck, an all-Muslim elected government runs a Detroit suburb with more mosques per capita than anywhere else in the United States...
- The suit quotes him saying, "You guys here in Michigan don't handle things the correct way; you guys make everything formal."
RealClearInvestigations reported that as a push to send those cases through mosques under Sharia, which does not treat wife-beating as a crime.
⠀Garbarino alleged Altaheri hit and punched the mother of his child twice in 2024...
It did find he pressured officers in a custody fight and that at least five 911 calls hit that house in five months...

'Time for We the People to do something': Nick Shirley sues California over new law that bears his name * WorldNetDaily * by Angelina Delfin, The Daily Signal:
"They needed the Stop Nick Shirley Act, AB 2624, to protect the fraud and stop people from exposing these locations inside of immigration support providers."
Shirley is now taking that argument to federal court, claiming the statute violates the First Amendment. The journalist also stressed that he is not seeking monetary damages from the lawsuit, but instead is challenging the law to protect what he says are his and others' First Amendment rights.
"Did we?"-----Eric Trump just flipped the script on Chris Cuomo live on-air, leaving him shocked.
Cuomo accused President Trump of going after his political opponents the moment he took office… Eric sounded off: - Deep Leaks@DeepLeaksHQ
- Did we raid Biden's home?
- Did we try and bankrupt Biden?” “
- Did we weaponize every AG and DA against Biden?
- Do we do that against Hunter Biden who had a laptop from hell, pictures of cocaine, illicit drug use, prostitution?” “
- Did we make up a dirty dossier?
- Did we make up stories that Biden had secret servers in the basement of his home communicating with the Kremlin in Russia?”
- Did we take Biden off of Twitter and Instagram and Facebook and try and silence his voice so he couldn't communicate?”
- “Did we put Biden in a courtroom every single day for nonsense to try and keep him off of a campaign trail to try and destroy his life?”

Hampshire Police issued a dispersal order for the area, warning that anyone who doesn’t leave 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝.
Notice who that warning is actually aimed at: not the 140 people who just arrived in the country illegally by boat, who are being quietly bused off to a processing center in Manston, Kent.
It’s aimed at the British citizens who tried to stop it.
- Nobody in that crowd broke into the country.
- Nobody in that crowd crossed an ocean on a smuggler’s dinghy.
- They stood on a public road in their own town and got pepper-sprayed for it, while the people who did cross illegally rode away untouched.

Washington DC landlord says squatters turned her building into drug haven | Fox News:
"Squatting is not primarily a housing policy problem; it is a property-rights enforcement problem," John Gibbs, Director of the Institute for Economic Policy Studies at the Heritage Foundation, told Fox News Digital. "The core failure is that lawful owners often face greater burdens recovering their property than unauthorized occupants face taking possession of it. The solution is restoring the presumption that ownership matters. Expedited removal procedures, stronger anti-fraud penalties, faster courts, and clearer authority for law enforcement could significantly reduce squatting while preserving protections for legitimate tenants."
One of the most remarkable things about Canada is how easily political theatre works on Eastern Canadian voters.
Mark Carney can walk away from a trade deal, turn confrontation with our largest trading partner into a political strategy, and much of Eastern Canada will applaud it as courageous leadership. . - Rise Of Alberta@RiseOfAlbertaAlbertans look at the same thing and ask why anyone would willingly sacrifice jobs, investment and prosperity for a polling boost.
